Aerolite 103

Nice weather flight. Made it to the hills...close anyway, before started to get rotors from them. Gopro battery died as I was approaching the airport.

Thanks Robert for the encouragement, and other more creative ideas. Like the placement for your handheld. Loved it. I moved my 'mess' because of it and made it a bit neater and more convenient to reach. I am about ready to jump up there, too. Stay tuned. It might be as early as next week.

I was going to mention the unreachable spot for your radio. glad you made it more accessible. Also mine suffered from the shakes like they all do with the drum brakes but I just installed the hydraulic brakes and they are SWEET. Standing by.

The Gopro 7 has the info and when you down load it with Gopro Quik software you can pick what info you want to show.

I like your videos, a 360º camera would be the ideal to enjoy your flights in VR, simulate your flight in MSFS 2020, I only miss Aerolite 103 :-). a greeting

New, set up the way mine is with ballistic chute and Hirth 2702 motor, your looking around 27k. Or I'll sell you mine for 18k. I'll even throw in the radio, helmet, remote antenna and the IFLY740 gps unit.

Robert, glanced through some of your videos and comments. I am curious as to whether the ultra lite climbs that slowly, or if you are intentionally staying low to the ground. It seems to me like you are a very low time pilot, and I would be concerned that you are not giving yourself enough elevation to figure out what to do, and where to land at such low altitudes.

Hey Dan, yes I am a very low time pilot. I like to not climb out too fast over the runway so that I have an out if the motor were to fail. Then I just work my way up to between 800 and 1200 feet. I could climb faster but I like the slower transition to altitude. My landing options aren't that great with all the scrub brush and cactus but worse case scenario I do have a BRS chute that works above 300. Thanks for the comment.
