I have a hydramaster 4.8 with salsa dds. I have had it for 10 years and it has never broke down, not even once! Lol, I'm getting it put in a newer van and having the installer do a service and belt replacement but it is an absolute beast when it comes to dependability. The aerotech looks nice but is it dependable?

The Aero tech DDS system is very dependable and it sounds like you have taken very good care of your Hydramaster CDS. We have 100's of the Aero Tech DDS systems working in the field and with the proper maintenance and care these machines are absolutely dependable.

What flow are you using on that wand to get 250F at the wand?? I lose about 30degrees from truck to wand so is this rig maintaining 280F?

Hi Ron! Great question. As the video states, "up to 250 degrees" is a true statement. The performance will depend on your weather conditions, air temperature, incoming water temperature, PSI settings, jet size, and the duty cycle (which is how long of a spray and the length of time between sprays). The DDS was tested in Salt Lake City, using a number 6 jet at a 50/50 duty cycle, with 10 seconds on and off. We did not record the incoming water temperature or the air temperature at the time but it was a typical hot day, and the unit at the system was between 280 and 290 degrees. The DDS heat exchanger design maximizes all of the pre-mentioned conditions, so compared to other direct-drive heat exchangers operating in the same conditions, the DDS will continue to provide much higher temperatures due to its unique four heat exchangers with its 6-pass design that no other unit has. Therefore, if you're in a northern state in November and the technician holds the trigger down for long periods of time, you will have less heat, but still much more than any other direct-drive systems. @@jondoninc 6 pass design? Sounds like you're using an idea I had about 3yrs ago to have unlimited heat. I jyst havent built it yet to test it. Of course with an exh hx system the biggest challenge is control. How to keep the water from getting over 300 at the truck. Ask me how I know 😁 6 jet. Are those 01 or 015 jets? Try it with 03 jets at 500psi and use a wand with a thermometer on it. I get 150 to 190, depending on variables, with my double barrel exh hx off a 25hp kohler running 4- 03jets at 500
