Congratulations!! I’m working on my PPL at twin oaks right now, and wanted to find the procedure for touring the downtown skyline. Beautiful video and thanks for the help ;)

Thank you! And glad you find it helpful, that's awesome! Some of the calls were slightly edited for time but this was the gist of it. For example, I was taught to keep the initial call brief with just ", VFR request" in case they are busy, which I edited out. On this trip, I initially mentioned I am onwards to KKLS but that didn't get entered in, so as I approached Confluence (5:22, Portland TAC), I gave a gentle reminder along the lines of "Tower, Cessna 66589 approaching confluence, ready to turn on course for Kelso" and sorted out the altitude restrictions with them, as that's along the KPDX flight path. Alternatively you can probably turn off at Multnomah Channel (5:15) and stay out of the way. I may do that next time as that section of Columbia River turned out to be a popular crossing for KSPB traffic. Good luck with your PPL and see you around 7S3!
