AEG 8000 Series Powerclean 59min 40 extra rinse

Washing a full load of general wear (for this cycle) with an Ariel platinum+ Lenor pod and Lenor pink blossom softener
Overall a fantastic daily cycle.
At first I was quite hesitant to use this cycle. The first cycle I done on this machine with a load was cottons 50 time save x2 with extra rinse which ended up doing a cold main wash (i ended up cancelling that cycle on first rinse and switching it to time save x1 which was miles better) so that left a scar on me and was worried all the short cycles would be really poor on it. It’s still early days for me so am still getting adapted to how it works etc. but I can definitely see me using this cycle often.
The main wash gets stuck right into it. It uses the jet for pretty much the entire cycle and has plenty of time for heating which I was VERY happy to see after how cottons time save x2 went. It held and maintained just above 40 for quite a bit with this load. I’m a bit shocked with it getting stuck into main wash straight away on other cycles it’ll have a period where it’ll add enough water to dispense the detergent into the machine then go onto a detergent mixing phase before going into its main saturation.
The cycle done 3 rinses along with another extra short “rinse” which I think is to saturate the load for the final rinse (I can’t class it as a rinse with it just about getting the load fully saturated lol) it also does 2 interm spins which are in burst style up to I think 700 or 800rpm it’s definitely a bit higher than 650rpm but not much so must be around 800rpm. I’ve heard that without extra rinse it won’t do interms at all so think extra rinse is definitely a must for this cycle.
Final spin was quite good too and OH MY GOODNESS THE SMELL OF THE CLOTHES 🥺 they genuinely smelt unreal I’ve never had clothes smell so strong and not overpowering 🥹
Note: squeaking you can hear particularly on some spins is just the bearing seal which is completely normal with how new it is :) I can’t lie I thought mine wasn’t gonna have the noise as it didn’t make it at all with my first load but has started to come on a bit with the past few loads. Still nothing to worry about though and doesn’t bother me in the slightest :) think I’ve adapted to a 23 year old machine with a squealing bearing seal 😂

That bearing seal noise, I didn't get it at the first place. Don't get it why AEG continue to make their machines the way they do 😮

Hi. You have a really nice washing machine. I falled in love with it. I think I watched this video three times, and I can’t stop watching this beautiful washing machine. I am an Electrolux fan since 2021. They have a really good balancing system. I like also the build quality. I think the jet system improves the washing results. The universal dose is the best. I never liked the pods, because they get stuck sometimes in the door seal. Electrolux group has found the best solution for those like me. What is it’s energy consumption, according to it’s energy label?

If you want to use a cycle with 2x timesaver use every cycle but the cottons cycle! Synthetics 2x timesaver is a good cycle for 4kg loads for example... Another nice cycle which actually can take a big load and is a good short cycle is the beddings cycle via the app! I had the bearing seal issue on my Zanussi but then I started to use anti-limescale tabs that can be used togheter with clothes, and putted it on hot cycles and the squeaking was gone! And also the PowerClean cycle with extra rinse even works well with full loads!

Have to say on my Aeg the okopower programme shows the max simbol flashing if more than half drum full so any tips for how to make it think it’s not full with a full load in the drum

@@bekofan Mine only does when its really full on the PowerClean cycle (same for a few other cycles), if you put like 8kg in it it won't say that its overloaded so if its not too full its fine, but on some other cycles it will say "max" way faster.

Very impressive that it almost dissolved the pod completely even with your low 💧water pressure

It's squealing really bad when going into spin and when slowing down...What is that noise?! I've seen a couple vidoes with the new AEG washers and they all squeal...

One question nobody had ever answered me: is the jet system really worth it? Does it really help clean the clothes better? Cause there is a bit of a price difference between this and the 7000 series so i was wondering :)

Difference with low water levels in rinsing and wash performance is big (especially with full loads), and (when a low waterlevel is used) a jet system wets the laundry way faster at the begin of the cycle and spreads the detegerent more evenly

Nice feature but NOT NEEDED! It may improve performance a bit but not by a lot, especially if you dont do full loads. Jetsystems do nothing but worsen rinse performance with half loads or less since they return around 500ML of soapy water per rinse. It would be nice if electroluxes had some cycles where they didnt use jetsystem on rinses, but sadly they dont.

@@zanussi_and_aeg_fanmarketing BS, didnt notice a difference in performance between electrolux and candy. Just electrolux spun better but thats it

@@sockvill Candy has a water spray too so the clothes absorb the water first before the drum is really filling with water, which will make a difference on short cycles. And as I said the biggest difference in performance is with full loads, and the bigger the drum the more difference there is too. Also with a jet system it is possible to use way less water and still wash properly without drywashing, saving energy and the results will be better due to the detegerent is more concentrated, but its not because a washing machine has a jet that it always use less water tho (depends on cycle, etc...). With normal waterlevels the performance is similar, in short cycles there will be some more difference but not that much. I can't agree that the rinse performance is less with the jet tho, even BSH now starts using the jet on rinses togheter with spinrinses which improved the rinse performance I guess.

Yes its worth!!! There is big diffrence even in final rinse with softener makes the clothes Feeling Like they are new! The BSH Brand some Modells do have a second Pump/Jet ,but they dont use that over the hole time Like AEG! I Miss IT very much and I will never by an Siemens again ! Its an good machine but it dosent Care the clothes like the AEG.even Miele does Not use the Jet so efficietlly like AEG/Elektrolux❣️
