I am that friend, took my buddy out fishing for halibut in my home town of Morro Bay headed up the coast about a mile out. Didn't know he was scared of the ocean. Anyway ended up fishing for rock fish. Im like 10 more cast,10 more cast ok 1 more. He finally snapped. Same with the kids and wife. They kinda stuck out their with me. Just have to find a buddy that likes to fish. Jordan! If your in central California hit me up!

I still only have one steelhead on my belt, and I was in junior high then, and surprisingly in/by my home town in a valley. I haven't had one bite a shrimp again there yet...🤔

Jordan, where you saw all those trout stacked up, swimming in circles, you should have tried some salmon eggs , or a tiny black fly ?

What lakes? Lol. Feel like our rivers here are better than Lake Goodwin...not much good fishing in the lakes, its all in the rivers up here. I'm from Snohomish and now live in Marysville too.

I dont know if you boys will see this or care but finally making my way up to Oregon to fish in September!

Generally I more times than not use light jigs or weights for a slow fall. Gives you more time to adjust. Plus you will get more bites. Slow speed down and longer pauses big keys to use if bites are slow.

If you guys ever want to catch a big steelhead come join me in Northern Or. Where the big ones come from. I'll tell you about my bigger steelhead ever but, I know you won't believe it. In the late 90's /00's I caught a 74" steelhead near marmot dam on the sandy River. I measured the length by putting a mark on my pole and used a tape when I got home. It was the most beautiful steelhead ever it teal green and blue on the top with a 7" + bright red stripe and a chrome belly. When I went release this giant native I couldn't get my had around it's tail to push it back and fourth to revive it. I had to grab his tail with both hands but ever with both hands my thumbs and middle fingers were still 3inches apart. My guess is that it was 60+ lbs if my dog could have talked he would have testified for me. Seeya guys in pdx. Much love and thanks for videos.

That's great I was waiting to see some of the waters I fish an bam at the end you guys were in it I've spent alot of hours out there an caught alot of fish there if the water was better you'd be in it to win it an there's some hogs in that system I've seen 20+ pounders get pulled out of there an you guys just got a hint of some of the waters we got here stoked to see it keep up the chrome addicted life🤙

Other movie, ADX goes to Michigan. Manistee river, Pere Marquette river and my favorite, the Betsie river. It is where I learned to steelhead fish. Now an addict near Puget Sound.

Also where do I find out where the bashes will be?

Try 1/2 reel crank fast and pause 2 to 3 seconds. Repeat 2 to 3 more times. 9 times out of 10 steelhead small mouth or trout will commit. Rare instances they don't. As bite happens gently pop rod tip. These fish will think bait is trying to get away using 1/2 reel cranks 1 to 3 second pause repeat 3 to 4 times. Also pop rod tip the time their biting this works very well. If bite is quick the second bite stop immediately pop rod tip 3 to 4 times. Pause 2 to 3 seconds between. These tips help me land alot more fish when they seem alittle finicky without fail. I went from catching 1 to maybe 3 up to 10 plus fish every time. Plus adjusting pauses and retrieve speeds. Using lighter weight for a longer slower fall. All these tips together used ive land alot more fish.
