I replied to your steelhead and coho trips to the situk, I have lived here in Alaska the past 38 years fishing on my own and have also been a guide, you guys have to look into fishing coho in late August through September at Cordova and kodiak island, the largest on average in the world, plus little crowds, not unusual for many 12 to 22 lbs coho, Crome fresh, because the rivers are short and you are close to the many saltwater bays, trust me and look into it!

The Coastal Cutthroat are the best tasing trout of all!! And or of my favorite trout to fly fish for....... Cut my fly fishing teeth on them growing up in Juneau. Caught my first handful of Steelhead on the Situk back in the early 80’s before tourists found out about it. Awesome river for Salmon as well!! Thanks for the vid, brought back many, many memories of time spent there on that water.

When i was in the navy we stopped in to Seward and watched a bunch of crazies do the mountain climb...lots of cuts, scrapes and bruises..lol I remember walking down the boardwalk and seeing giant halibut hanging to bleed out. I can't even imagine trying to land one of those monsters. Ahhh...maybe one of these days i can go back and experience a giant steelie and maybe a halibut...i did get to fish for trout on adak island and every time you caught one and eagle would try and steal it from ya...very scary experience lol This vid is AWESOME...thanks for makin it ya lucky bistards 😁😎

Sup Addicted crew. I realize this video was posted 8 months ago, but just have to comment again on how truly amazing this video is. It has a lot of meaning for me in so many ways. First off, this place is my heaven on earth and my trip was canceled this year to this special place due to COVID-19, but can’t wait till it’s over to get back there. Next, when you were filming this video, this is where me and my buddies ran into you guys and found out about Addicted and became true fans of your website, gear and video content. So this this video let’s me relive that experience. The entire footage is captured brilliantly and the editing is perfect. Hats off to Travis and Sean. I’ve watched this video so many times, it still never gets old and still get chills watching it. Just wanted to comment again on your entire team and hope to run into you guys again on the river and say hello. Stay well Addicted crew and please keep this ship rolling. Addicted for life! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I lived in Alaska most of my life, now I am in the PNW. I always wanted to go there to get some fishing in but never had a chance. In Juneau you had to grind it out pretty hard to get a steelhead and when I got more than 2 a season I was stoked.

That looked like an epic trip, I fished there about 14 years ago and had a blast!! We only fly fished and drifted down to a gravel bar every day to camp out on and l only caught 9 fish that trip but I lost at least 20 plus!! My dad brought the only spinning rod and caught the two biggest steelhead of the trip!! If I get a chance to do that trip again I want to take my 17 yr old daughter she caught her first two coho on the fly rod and loved it!!! But this time I will bring the spinning gear and the hardware and bobbers!! Great video!!!

Myself and 5 fishing buds have been going up here for the silvers since 05. We have a blast, put in at that same spot and floated clear to the mouth. Epic. Always wanted to do it in the spring for metalheads. Maybe some day. Never have stayed where you guys went, and yes I know where you were. Started at one place and switch the last 8 yrs to another, and happier. :) So fun watching you guys in the same water we have pounded time again. You should try one of the fly-outs, it will blow your mind.

I know where you fished. More than 50 percent of steelhead caught in all of alaska are on this river. On the bucket list!

Fish slayers, you might not know is that their are many small, remote streams in southeast Alaska on the islands that have small native run fish, mist have no names, and you can’t drive to them! Prince of Wales island has many on old logging roads, and the anchor river, kasilof, plus a few on kodiak island.

@@troyottosen8722 Huh. Interesting. I'd have to check that out. The smaller the stream the better.

360 Fish Slayers, only problem is the island small streams in southeast am are accessible only by floatplane or boat, your best bet is you can rent a vehicle on prince of Wales island and drive the road system, there are many streams along the main road and many side old logging roads, 4 wheel accessible, very few people except locals, only downside is they are only about Jan- mid may then done.
