yes, most idols do choreo first then the song, if you saw the UNCUT for NCT you'll see Taeyong and other members considering the choreo if it's intense in some parts they do the vocals lightly. it's really interesting. (English isn't my first language please excuse any mistakes)

I really love how SM releases behind the scenes of their recordings more often now. It's so fascinating to hear SM artists sing because they sound really the same and amazing both in raw and CD vocals. So amazing. Taemin's voice is heavenly, too

I keep thinking back years ago when Jjong would help Taemin with his vocals. To this day, I hear a bit of Jjong in Taemin's tone. He'd be so proud of where Taemin is now and how he's almost like his own genre.

When he goes up higher without intentionally being breathy, it's impossible to tell the difference between him and Jonghyun. Noticed that when I got into them in early 2017. They have the most unique voices but if anyone could be confused it would be Jonghyun and Taemin. I needed the color coded videos to help me do it at the beginning for those two at certain ranges. Otherwise, Jonghyun and Taemin have completely different voices. It comforts me when I listen to new SHINee songs.

Popular opinion: Taemin vocals is not a joke. His vocals is masterpiece.

As a Shawol since Replay, his vocal growth makes me cry every time he has a comeback. Boy went from weakass vocalist in a vocal-monster group to one of the best and most unique soloists today

His vocal control is insane. He has a very unique distinctive vocal tone and color. He also uses different techniques like vocal frying and vibrato whenever it fits the best and has an immense control over his breath/breathing. He's also very quick to adjust to the key he's singing in and does all this while being very expressive through his voice. A very rare vocalist, a true legend Taemin

i love how taemin and the producer were going back and forth together to get the perfect sound and vibes for each song, like when he asked him if he was trying to talk about how he's matured now or to express how he felt in the past. i thought it was neat because not everyone would ask that type of question, and it seemed to help taemin get across the feelings he wanted to express ^_^

I love how Taemin makes a mistake and is like “죄송합니다” and the music pd from the other side just plays it again and he starts singing again without missing a single beat after a sweet smile. If that doesn’t show 13 years of experience then I don’t know what will.

LOOK! Here, our hardworking boy. Shinee's comeback don't call me, Shinee's promotion, SuperM single, Shinee Atlantis project, His solo performance, Solo concert, Solo Album, His comeback stage, Shinee's Superstar project and others. This kid was teased as tone-deaf but really, he has good ears. Reminds me of the piano teacher praising him during Budokan. I don't follow other idols so I have no right to compare him to them but he's really more than idol. He's a true artist. He's paying attention to every detail so he can convey the message of the songs to the listeners.

@@jasan_o3633 I know, but he started to learn the piano even before his debut, that's why I think it was just a careless insult. He was going through his puberty when SHINee was about to make their debut, so he was not able to take vocal lessons because of his voice change. Therefore, he focused on practicing dancing instead. Someone even said that he didn't have a singing voice. It motivated him to work harder and now here he is. I mean, he even participated in Immortal Song (2012) though he was not the main vocalist in his group.

Taemin 's lower voice ALWAYS gives me butterflies in my stomach. The dark vibrato with the raspiness and with the incredible range. Taemin is a perfectionist

SM had made really bad decisions with his solo career. Instead of forming SuperM, they've should've tried to push Taemin's solo career more and give him a tour in Europe and USA. He has so many fans around the world.

@@solasluna192 I think that is the beat thing SM did to him aside of giving him a solo career at the very young age. If I am not mistaken Taemin was the first artist in a male group who was given a solo career as a singer and from that point because Taemin solo career was successful they made let others have a solo career as a singer too. Also back to your comment, SM did the right thing for letting him in the SuperM, it makes him more popular in Western Kpop fan because of SuperM. If you try to re-watch all the member teaser of SuperM you can see Taemin is included in all members teaser, it only shows how SM treasures Taemin. I really hate to see this but one of SM favorites solo artist from them as a singer aside from BoA is Taemin. Taemin is like the epitome of a complete package of a pop idol, he can dance and sing and got charisma on stage with an IT factor. It seems like they saw Taemin as a male version of BoA. Have you not ever wonder why Taemin got debuted at the very young age with SHINee at the age of 14/15? Maybe they saw a great potential of him that they don't want to wait longer for him to debut in EXO because they need him to evolve as an artist at a very young age, because tbh SM cannot debut him in 2008 as a solo artist because he was still lacking at those times but being him in a group will make him evolve as an artist. Taemin solo career must already been a set up by SM from very beginning. Now let us wait what would SM do with him after his military service.

태민이가 한번도 해본적 없는 싱잉랩을 할때 예상을 했지만 녹음할때 애 진짜 많이 먹었구나...한국어 발음에 영어 발음에 톤도 신경써야하고 안무랑 느낌도 봐야하고...단순히 그냥 와 얘는 진짜 못하는게 없구나라고 보이는 모든면에서 그렇게 되기까지 노력을 정말 많이 하는구나

노래도 너무 빠르도 높고, 춤도 너무 빡세서 라이브 불가능은 예상했지만 그래도 태민이여서 기대했는데 역시 너무 어렵나봐여ㅜㅜ

메이킹이 항상 너무 좋은게 태민이 귀엽고 멋진모습은 무대나 예능에서 이미 많이 봐서 화려한데 이렇게 메이킹에서는 인간 태민이 보여져서 너무 좋은 것 같아요 녹음장면 중에 어떤감정으로 부를건지 대화 나누는 것도 인상적이네요 작사나 작곡을 직접하지 않더라도 부르는 사람의 마음을 담고 있어서 앨범 들을때도 그게 잘 느껴져요 이럴때 보면 또 천상 노래하는 가수구나 싶네요

It's fascinating watching artists in making, especially a skilled on like TAEMIN. I can clearly see how detail oriented he is and he knows his craft really well that changing a little bitnin tone change the feeling of one specific line. And these types of WIP videos will help us appreciate the work much more

He’s an amazing vocalist, I truly love his vocal tone - it’s so unique and soulful - and the way he uses his voice is really fascinating (he has such a deep understanding of colour and texture, we can really see his talent and experience here). I love his music and I consider him one of the best vocalists nowadays.
