Hey! Do you know if a weekend BMQ at your home unit requires you to stay there overnight?? I have my BMQ starting on April 1st at my unit but Im unsure if I stay there the whole weekend

Is reservists training is harder than rcmp???

Hi, great video. I was told that there will be 2 summers where I need to go for training. Is that the BMQ? I can't leave this summer due to my day job. Can we select which summer to be away if the first summer that I'm hired isn't feasable? I hope there is flexibility if one summer doesn't work out. I will be in HR department. Thank you.

I'm thinking of going for blackbear and I'm enlisted I need 6 credits so I'm getting my ged in September and next july I'll be in bootcamp I'm indigenous.

Hey I was im a university student at the moment and I was wondering how the BMQ would work, am I able to do the BMQ in the summer? While going to school September to April.

You can do it in the summer or you can do it part time which is two weekends a month or every other weekend friday-sun

Yeah, you can do it in the summer. You will have one summer of BMQ and one summer, DP1

if you can, do it full-time during summer. the experience molds you better than pt bmq, imo, because you're stuck on garrison out of comfort zone for at least an entire month, which really forces you to grow

ma'am, I ask something, I you joined Canadian reservist, it is mandatory your permanent resident or even not?????

You get to choose a preference and if you have a good enough reason like family your usually good but as of right now basically every unit is hurting for people so the worlds your oyster man

What would be the differences and pros and cons of being a full time reserve to be more flexible vs being under a contract?

I’m pretty sure it’s not public information! You’ll need to be a CAF member first, then just ask your chain of command. They run many BMQs from April to end of summer though.

Most reserves are during summer, most standard active duty bmq’s are during the cold season tho

Have a question it’s been 4 months and I’m on final processing waiting for my medical to come back from rmo ? And ideas why so long

Not sure but you’ll soon learn that half of the army lifestyle is just waiting around lol…… hope it gets processed soon

Keep all your paperwork because the military WILL lose it. Send everything in emails because supervisors WILL lie to save their own asses. You will meet some of the best people and worst people in the military. Use the Military to better your life, don't let the Military use you.

Good advice! One of my friends from BMQ had to do the force test twice because they lost his papers the first time lol…

So what is the best job or position to serve and make a good career? Up till master sergeant? Top 3? Please
