Adventures In Vaasa And Ostrobothnia

We spent over two weeks in Ostrobothnia exploring the city of Vaasa, it’s stores and the surrounding areas. It was absolutely an experience of a lifetime. I was able to reconnect with some family members and I felt like I was being treated like royalty. Finland is so full of culture and history, the layers seem to get bigger as I learned more and more. The wilderness is full of surprises from amazing forests to vipers and other wildlife. I could have spent a lot more time there and I fully intend on doing that in the future. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this such a memorable experience. Kiitos!!!

Me. Born and raised in Vasa. Moved to CA back in 1979 being 22 years young. Back in 2019 when I turned 62 I retired and moved back to Vasa. Vasa, is not the same as it was back then when I grew up there. But, nothing is not the same anywhere. Those good old days are gone. Even in Canada it's not the same. I spend winters in Mexico and summers in Vasa or Finland. Lot's of Canadians move to Mexico now. They say, Canada is not any good anymore. Ok, many places are not so good anymore, the world is in a mess. Ok, nice that you enjoyed your stay and visit to Vasa. I'm in Mexico now and plan on being here all winter. Can't stand the winters in Finland just like it is in Canada. I got so spoiled by living in CA for my 40 years living there. Now, I'm glad that I'm not living in CA anymore. Just to expensive and anything else. I'm so glad that I retired back then in 2019 at 62 so I did not get stuck by living in CA that has changed a lot. Then, I'm so glad that I don't have to be and live in ok Vasa or Finland during the winters so I have the best of the best living my life now. Viva Mexico in the winter time and Viva Vasa or Finland in the summer time 😅😊❤

Thanks for sharing your story!! We will be escaping the winters soon, but we want to spend time in Finland in the summers. We like the Laihia/Helsingborg area outside of Vaasa. Enjoy Mexico, we will be visiting there soon!! 🇫🇮🇲🇽

There is actually an ant hill sitting championship in Finland where you sit on an anthill butt naked as long as possible. :D It is quite painfull.
