Hi Julia, even though you both experienced this trouble while moving your things to your new interim home, God was with you and kept you safe. You both are certainly blessed! Thank you for showing us your new craft studio space... it is small isn't it, and quite a contrast to your studio on the farm. At least you know this is temporary, and that you will be getting a beautiful studio in your new build. I was thinking when you were showing us your new craft space that Natasha Foote often says she has a small crafting space which is in the corner of her bedroom. At least you have a room even though tiny. I am sure that much of your craft items will be staying in storage for now. I am looking forward to seeing your new studio set up if you are willing to show us, and I am looking forward to seeing may card tutorials coming out of your happy little room. That is exactly right Gloria! I am looking forward to the challenge of a smaller studio. And I have a very small bedroom next door that I will use for storage, so it will all work out. I am hoping not to unpack more than I absolutely need. I was thinking of Natasha and her wonderful creations. There are so many crafters that have no space at all, this is truly a blessing for me. Yes it was disappointing, but could have been so much worse!

Something always seems to go wrong in times like these but,you guys made the best of it and continued on not letting it derail you! So I say bravo, it’s a win!

Thanks so much! We made another trip down this week with a rental truck - it went much better. This time we had a flat in the driveway before we even left - Good Grief!! But that was an easy fix - a call to Penske and it was taken care of in a couple of hours at no charge to us. The rest of the trip went smoothly and I was able to get a few boxes in the new studio unpacked before heading home today!! This is going to be a long drawn out move...

Oh so sorry about the wheel, but as you say, you made it back safe and sound. And, that IS what counts. Have fun planning out your new space.

Oh man that was a rough start! But way to bounce back! My hubby tournament fishes. Checking his “bearing buddies”, greasing them up, etc. happens before we leave the driveway because he has friends who have had issues. Your new interim space has good natural lighting. Mine only has one window. Happy moving!

Thank you! I got a table set up this week in front of the double window and I think it's going to work out fine. The move is going to take several months because we still have business to take care of here before we list the farm. I'm pretty sure I will be crazy by the time it's all done LOL

Thanks Gigi - I drew up a plan this afternoon. It is a lot smaller than the studio here at the farm, but should be a nice work room. Will have to store a lot in another room for sure!

Thank you! Jon and I are staying home for the next 10 days and just resting. I will finish the rest of the packing in the house at the farm. And then we will be finishing the move to Georgia. It has been a rough start to the year for sure.

Oh goodness I got totally hooked on drywall tape techniques. I had to just put it away and stop playing with it. But weren't these fun???!!!

Oh Bless You Catherine - I really needed to hear that. I am wandering a bit lost without my studio. Everything (in the studio) is now packed and I am just in limbo, dreading the rest of the packing that has to be done. But this too shall pass. I've been watching a lot of art studio and craftroom tour videos trying to get ideas for setting back up. Have a wonder filled Holiday Season!!

My goodness girl I hate that happened to you. I’ve been in that situation several times with these box, trailers, and boat trailers. But anyway, your sewing room is gonna look wonderful and you will fill in all the spaces. Good luck take it easy and don’t stress about it.🪡🧵✂️
