Adventures in Cappadocia: Red & Rose Valley Hike

Boy was this a tough one, but so worth it. This ended up being a 7-mile hike for us, which is the longest and most challenging we have done with the kids. I wouldn't recommend doing it with kids as young as ours, however. It was certainly a physically demanding hike, which was made worse by us still being sick and having the kids strapped to us for the duration.
This was one of the most beautiful hikes we have ever done, with so many different areas to explore. The landscape is breathtaking, and we so look forward to doing it again someday when the kids are older. Definitely take your time with this hike and don't rush like we did. There are so many places to stop off and explore, including places to grab some tea and a quick bite.
The kids were so well-behaved for the 4 1/2 hours this hike took us. And don't worry they had access to plenty of water and snacks. They napped half the time and Isla even watched some kid's shows on Ryan's phone for a while.
The app was helpful, although we still managed to go off-path more times than we can count. But it was all part of the journey, and we are grateful to even have the opportunity to be in this wonderful place.
We still have tons of videos from Cappadocia coming up so check back next week for the next one. And make sure to follow on Instagram @gabbettfamilytravels.
