This is so interesting, and yet kinda sad ! I would like to be a part of a clean up like this before the lord calls me home ! Most people want to travel or experience some exotic adventure, but this is what I would like to do. Maybe see if I could get some piece of history going again . I know I am strange and this is not most people’s cup of tea , but there is much value here and not just financial.

I as well have seen some sawdust in my time of 73 years. I remember things said about different antique rigs an how some are like one of maybe only ten and parts of history just lost forever. Why don't they clear a strip of land there in front and drag carefully some of the more worthy which is all of mostly if I were the judge/lol. I never got to see much of the carolina's as I was born there but moved away when eight so not too many memories... just the orphanage. Living in alaska has some of the finest benefits but its hard to go stateside and go through those airports. Then being a cripple don't help either so no going home for me

@ 3:93 is an old hay loader. Pulled with a team, with a hay rack behind, you would pick up loose hay to store in the barn. @ 5:19 they wouldn't run those in tandem. The fist one is set up for chopping hay, the second is for chopping corn. 2 different crops. Having 2 machines, just saved having to switch heads back and forth.

Exactly! Sometimes wonder why such vehicles and equipment just rest there when the owner could easily put all that for sale in a win win scenario: buyer with resources can restore the vehicle to it former glory and seller can make money and know new owner will take care of his never ended projects.

My dad was born in 1913 and his first real job was pulling a grader with a caterpillar in New Madrid County. Another guy rode the grader and made adjustments. Men were a lot tougher than today. He farmed with mules and later drove trucks. I remember the first one he got with power steering and brakes. When he brought the first car home without an optional hand crank, he wanted to take it back.My three brothers and mom replaced the crank and just bump started it when needed.

I hope like hell that GMC dump truck, the pull behind no.12 grader, and that Willys jeep didn't go to the scrapyard. I know it's your job and you can't save it all but hope that y'all try and advertise the stuff before scrapping it. I don't know what to say. Hate to see it just scrapped but what can you do with it if you can't sell it directly. Pile it up at your house for someone to have to do the same thing you are now. That one yellow cable bucket machine was a traxcavator being the first type of track loader that cat built. They bought out Trackson soon as they seen this. So hope that didn't get scrapped cause it was in better shape than most of the other stuff. Oh I'd have had a heart attack seeing all that going to the scrapyard.
