@15:20 Pastor Ron Kelly voices that John chapter 17 asserts that Christ's prays, 'Let this church, being his disciples, be one, as the Father and the Spirit and the Son are one.' And yet... when we read the whole of the chapter? The Spirit of God is not even spoken of once.

Oh my, Ron. If what you say is true, then when EGW said, in 1896, that we have the truth, she was wrong. And at the same time, the Roman church and her daughters had the truth and we we’re saying that they were wrong about the trinity. One of the jobs of a prophet is to correct the church. If what you are saying is true then she was unable to correct her own husband and unable to correct the church. I’m the Desire of Ages she says that “while Jesus ministers in the sanctuary above, he is still by his spirit the minister of the church on earth.”

Could Pastor Kelly please provide the reference or quote? From my readings of our church history, I have found the complete inverse. Such as... When you are talking about the divinity of this Christ, you are referring to? Which time period of his existence are you referring to? Is it before or after becoming human? If during his humanity? what kind of the divine nature attribute is the real 100% human Christ I ascribe, possess? "Partakers of the divine nature"? Can a human partake of the divine nature? or not. What does the God, I ascribe to, say? through HIS messengers/prophets? especially the last one.

The term "God the Holy Spirit" is a _spiritualistic_ expression. Compare to 1 Corinthians 5:3-5 where Paul speaks of his spirit as being present in Corinth while he was physically absent (in Ephesus, according to Ellen White). If we separate "Paul the Spirit" from "Paul the Man," we are claiming that Paul's spirit is a separate entity from Paul himself, and has its own existence apart from him. This is the essence of spiritualism, which is defined as: "the doctrine that the spirit exists as distinct from matter, or that spirit is the only reality." The Bible never speaks of "God the Spirit." It says "spirit of God." There is a difference. One is spiritualistic, the other is truth.

You are absolutely correct. Scripture is silent about a spiritual being called God the Holy Spirit. Read also Genesis 1:2

All I have to say is bashing a people for analyzing the world around them and formulating an opinion based on the facts around them is not going to win them over to God. Secondly, Noah was a "conspiracy theorist" till it started to rain. Lastly stating Satan's lies as conspiracies is disingenuous. Call them for what they were, lies, no merroit in them.

As Adventists, we should be ahead of the pack of conspiracy theorists! Not that all claims of conspiracy are true, but our knowing that deception is the name of the game at the end, how in the world can we join with the mainline media? Have we become dogs that cannot bark? Who's going to blow the trumpet when the conspirators finally come out in the light of day. Unless there's a big turnaround, it won't be by pastor Ron. (I'm not a flat-earther.) We know, or should know, that the vile king of the north "by peace destroys many". He always flattered and then rose up and conquered the flattered people, kind of like Hitler laughing off an attack on Poland while he piled up his military on Poland's border. They were waltzing the night away when Hitler came down in short order taking over. Poor Polish people trusted him! How could he??!! I'm flabbergasted that whistle blowing SDAs are now called disingenuous by a renowned pastor. Isn't that any different from Ahab calling Elijah a troubler of the people? Especially when we know that there will be a fierce conflict when the papacy is ready to get back ALL its former glory and absolute power. If SDAs won't be crying out, the secular community will do it for us. And how will we do in judgment day at the court that has no appeal?

Since God was giving the pioneers great light, which laid the foundation of the SDA church, if their belief in the One true God and His dear divine Son was incorrect, God would have corrected the error. But He didn't because they had it right. The old landmarks that were established after the passing of the time in 1844 opened the pioneers' eyes to new light. No new light was needed on the understanding of who God and His Son are. Hence, no new light was given on this subject.

It is an invented point to further people's theology, which, in the late 1890s, clearly showed a shift in the understanding of the Eternal Godhead, as Three Distinct Erernal Beings.

Wrong, the pioneers believed Jesus received His full divinity from the Father, the Son is the Heir of the Father, Jesus has the life of the Father in Him, the fulness of divinity dwells in Him. He was equal with the Father because the Father made Him so. The Father is greater because he is the source, Jesus is the channel, and he receieved everything from Him. Hmmm, I'd put in context of John 16:7, 13-14 [7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. [13] However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. [14] He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. Friend, I'm curious. What would you do with John 14:18 in light of these words of Jesus?

'How is it that THOU wilt manifest thyself to us, and not unto the world?' John 14:22 The disciples knew Christ was speaking of himself. So the choice is ours... Should we concur and side with the disciples? Or submit to the wrangling of the conference preacher?

Anthony, what Jesus said there in John 14:18 is true. The proof can be found in the combination of these three verses. Rev 3:1, 4:5 and 5:6. The Father GAVE Jesus His (our Father's) 7 Holy Spirits --- so now it IS Jesus' Spirit. And, they (Jesus' Spirits) are sent throughout the world to all of us.

@@holdthewinds The seven spirits are simply measured amounts of God's own Spirit. Right? There are many examples of this. Such as Elisha receiving a double portion of what was bestowed upon Elijah. Or as recorded in Numbers chapter 11, God removes a certain amount of HIS Spirit from Moses and apportions it to the 70 elders. These are instructional illustrations of how our Father pours out His own Spirit and how it is quantified by God's own choosing. Amen?

I truly hope that people will follow the advice to take their Bibles and study it out for themselves. I also hope that they will include passages like Roman 8:16 and Romans, 8:26, where the Holy Spirit is called "itself" rather than "himself" and also first Peter 1:11, John 1:32 where it has "it" instead of "he" when referring to the Holy Spirit. All of these need to be addressed and reconciled. Also study 1 Corinthians chapter 2 verses, 10 and 11, where man and his Spirit is compared to God and His Spirit. If we can harmonize these, then that will be great. Also, the Comforter (the paracletos) has a name. We find the name of the Comforter in 1 John 2:1. I hope people will study this. I would like to know why Luke 1:35 names the Holy Ghost as the father, yet Jesus called someone else His Father (God the Father). It is a pity James White, Ellen White and the founders were so wrong back in 1844 through to 1913, as the yearbook and publications were producing the 1872 fundamental principles which are, apparently, so wrong. I thought principles don't change. They should have used "fundamental beliefs"...we know beliefs change (they changed in 1980). I hope people study the foundation Jesus taught in Mt 16:15-18. It seems James White may have understood that passage.

Chapter 73-“Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled” This chapter is based on John 13:31-38; John 14; John 15; John 16; John 17. Desire of Ages 1898 Before this the Spirit had been in the world; from the very beginning of the work of redemption He had been moving upon men’s hearts(mind). But while Christ was on earth, the disciples had desired no other helper. Not until they were deprived of His presence would they feel their need of the Spirit, and then He would come. { DA 669.1} The Holy Spirit (Powerful Holy Mind/heart/Spirit/Divinity/Divine nature of God)is Christ’s representative, but divested of the personality of humanity, and independent thereof. Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally. Therefore it was for their interest that He should go to the Father, and send the Spirit to be His successor on earth. No one could then have any advantage because of his location or his personal contact with Christ. By the Spirit the Saviour would be accessible to all. In this sense He would be nearer to them than if He had not ascended on high. { DA 669.2}

In these verses, it is evident that the Holy Spirit is speaking Himself. There is no evidence in these verses that anyone is speaking through Him. The Holy Spirit is very much a Person Matthew 12-32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

I don't understand so much of this. Scripture seems clear there is one God, one son Jesus and the representative spirit of Jesus is The Holy Spirit. SDA pastors, leaders practicing speaking in tongues of gibberish, spiritual formation, contemplative prayer...Jesuit foundations last two. Now past doctrine and beliefs are wrong....so is it possible current new trends will be wrong/false.

Amen!! Anyone who does some basic early church researching will find that what you are saying is spot on correct. I've done extensive historical and Biblical and SOP research on the trinity. It is a FALSE teaching which WILL ensnare those who do not have the love of the truth and who do not bother to investigate for themselves.

Pastor Kelly, at minute 15:15 you say the following, and I quote: "Read John 17, I don't have time to do it today, but Jesus' prayer is: "Let this church (praying for His disciples) be one, as the Father and the Spirit and the Son are one". That is a prayer that ought to take our minds into outer space". End of quote. Now brother Kelly, can you please tell us what verse you're quoting? And what translation of which Bible you're using? I've looked at several bible translations, in English and other languages and I do not find John mentioning the Spirit anywhere in John 17. What Bible are you using? I'm not non-trinitarian nor trinitarian. I believe my Bible that there is a God the Father, there is Jesus Christ, God's only begotten son, our Savior, and the Bible is also clear there is a Holy Spirit (though Revelation mentions 7 spirits at God's throne), so that is enough for me,i believe the three exist. I definitively do not believe the theory that seems to be taught in seminaries and is advocated by Vance Ferrell that the three are 'role playing' and that any of the three could have played the Father, or the Son, and they basically threw dice for what 'role to play'. Reading that theory in Vance Ferrell's book 'Defending the Godhead' actually turned me against what the SDA church officially teaches in regards to Trinity, for it is non-Biblical. I studied the subject seriously for years with much prayer, by studying from both sides and finally arrived at the conclusion that yes, there are three "worthies" in heaven, but our mind is too limited to discern the intricacies and details of the Godhead. Therefore I decided to leave the subject alone, if God wanted us to know He would have told us more clearly. However, to hear you defend Trinity by using verses that are not in my Bible makes me wonder who the Fake News actually is. Am I mistaken, does anyone know what verse pastor Kelly is talking about in John 17? As far as i can see, the verse that he seems to refer to is verse 21 that says: "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:". No mention of the Spirit that I can find in my Bibles in this context. And I don't want to add it there, for I take seriously God's warning in Revelation 22:18 to those adding anything to the Scriptures. I'd like to hear from you pastor Kelly, or anyone that knows what verse he's using in this context, it happens that I do want to take the time to look for it, unlike pastor Kelly.

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons. The Bible speaks of the Father as God (Phil. 1:2), Jesus as God (Titus 2:13), and the Holy Spirit as God (Acts 5:3-4)

@@dennis3264 Titus 2:13 does not call Jesus God, as you have improperly claimed. It addresses two separate entities: Jesus and His Father. The use of "and" does not mean "equal," it means "also." This is supported by the Greek "καὶ" (kai) which is a dysjunctive conjunction. If a copulative conjunction were intended, Greek has the (more poetic) option of using "te kai" to indicate a "both...and" relationship between the two nouns--which does not occur in Titus 2:13.

​@@dennis3264 Read Acts 5 until verse 9. You will see the whole truth. The Holy Spirit is not another person or God but the Spirit of God and the Spirit of our Lord which comes from God the Father. Let no man deceive you. God is a personal being and there is one God. Do not spiritualise God. Jesus is God by virtue of being the literal begotten Son of God. That's not metaphorical.

@@Cryaloud You're right about some things. But when you say Jesus is God, you are perhaps not realizing what you are teaching, nor that you oppose many plain passages of the Bible in doing so. Consider James 1:13 which says God cannot be tempted with evil. Was Jesus tempted? What theology would we have about salvation and the plan of redemption if Jesus had never been tempted in all points like as we are? Consider Numbers 23:19 which says God is not a man, nor the son of man. Did Jesus lie in Matthew 16:13 when he called himself "the son of man"? Consider Jesus' own words in John 4:24 that God is a spirit, and then Jesus' words in Luke 24:39 saying "a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have." Jesus openly taught that he was not God! Would Jesus have been correct to say that the Father was "the only true God" (John 17:3) if in actual fact he, as "the literal begotten Son of God," was God too? Did people see Jesus? Yet why did John write, twice, that "no man hath seen God at any time"? (See John 1:18; 1 John 4:12.) Jesus said "God is not the God of the dead, but of the living." (Matthew 22:32) But Paul said: "Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living." (Romans 14:9). Was Paul wrong? Is the Bible incorrect? Does God = Lord? These are questions you may wish to consider. In the spirit of 1 Peter 3:15 and Romans 14:5, I hope you are able to find solid answers to them. For my own journey to truth, John 14:10; 12:49; 10:38; and 8:28 were very helpful, in addition to things like John 5:43 & 37.

The Story Of Redemption was published in 1947. IT IS NOT a book written by E. G. White, but was from books she authored and those she never authored. Please read the actual Redemption Series Volumes 1 - 8. These she actually authored and James White published. They are really , really good. I'm just finishing #8 in the Series. This is my 3rd time reading in the 15 years I've had them. Still find new and exiting truths within them.

The Story Redemption has many small changes for example SOP vol 1 says “Satan” and Story Redemption changes to “Lucifer” For example the name “Jesus” they changed his name to “Christ” . SOP vol 1: “yet Jesus, God's dear Son, had the pre-eminence over all the angelic host.” pg 18 SOR: “yet *Christ* , God's dear Son, had the pre-eminence over all the angelic host.” pg 13

The compilations allow us to read information from documents we do not have. Each paragraph is noted as to its origin. I am not sure where this is referenced, but I remember the jest of it... "Then I turned to look at the company who were still bowed before the throne. They did not know that Jesus had left it. Satan appeared to be by the throne trying to carry on the work of God. I saw them look up to the throne and pray, My Father give us thy spirit. Then Satan would breathe on them an unholy influence."

We as Seventh-Day Adventist take the Bible as the Only rule for faith and practice. We also believe that "man doth not live by bread alone, but every word of God". The word trinity is of Catholic origin and is not found the bible nor the SOP. Why then adopt this "child of the papacy"? We believe in the biblical Godhead of which consist of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as separate/distinct individuals. The catholic trinity dogma does not agree with the bible on this. Why have leaders and admin chosen to adopt this term and bring in confusion among the ranks of believers? The best thing to do to promote unity in the truth is to drop the term "trinity" from all things related to Adventism and teach the truth of the Godhead by describing it just as it reads. Godhead! Let's turn back to the Bible and the "Testimonies of His Spirit": The Lord has pronounced a curse upon those who take from or add to the Scriptures. The great I AM has decided what shall constitute the rule of faith and doctrine, and he has designed that the Bible shall be a household book. The church that holds to the word of God is irreconcilably separated from Rome. Protestants were once thus apart from this great church of apostasy, but they have approached more nearly to her, and are still in the path of reconciliation to the Church of Rome. Rome never changes. Her principles have not altered in the least. She has not lessened the breach between herself and Protestants; they have done all the advancing. But what does this argue for the Protestantism of this day? It is the rejection of Bible truth which makes men approach to infidelity. @@Preschtheword It's the other word for 1000 years and therefore doesn't make a difference. The word 'trinity' has a definition that has stood for 1500 years. It doesn't apply to 'a team of three' as commonly thought. Linguistically, yes, but as the Christian dogma that it is, NO. For it to be the hallowed trinity that it has been since it's formulation, it should have at its core the claim that the three are an inseparable singular substance. Check the founding, historical ecumenical creeds. This is where the dogma taps its revered unscriptural, human authority that unleashed bloody terror on its rejectors. Currently a number of eminent Adventist theologians, including one Max Hatton, adhere to this view in their denominationally published and marketed (ABC) books and theses. You'll be shocked this is true; I'm not vilifying them. So this is believed in our church. A variant of this is the doctrine expressed Belief number 2 of SDA 28 Fundamental Beliefs which claims that the three are completely separate and distinct, having a co-equal, co-eternal existence. These three make up the being who is called God and this God is referred to by the pronoun 'He'. You'll have to face the hardship of denying tri-theism and establishing the claim that God is a singular, monotheistic being. In fact, the roots of these two views are the same, and the Bible, if understood in its simplicity gives a wonderful, gospel fulfilling view of the whole matter.

It was Constantine who decided what the world church at the time would believe, "regard Jesus as divine and co-eternal with God the Father". No human on this plant is omniscient. adventists should based the truth based on what is in the scripture, and the testimony of Jesus Christ. To the law and the testimony of it speaks not according to the word, it is because there is no light in them! Where is the word, plain from the scriptures, that the Bible teaches the One God consists three separate divine beings? And where is the 2nd and or 3rd Bible verse(s) as a true witness to establish the truth?

Why would a Pastor in leading out his sermon, quote profusely from sources such as independent and USA Today? It is almost as if they were some sort of modern translations of our Holy Bible. Would not the congregation be edified and blessed with many a 'thus saith the LORD' texts from the Holy writ? Throughout his 56 minute oration I did not see one Bible passage posted on screen for us to read and give proof to the contentious topic that was presented. How is this even fair to the audience?

Praying for unity, for the wisdom and discernment God has promised. We will be victorious the only living God is with us ! His Son our redeemer and Savior is interceding in our behalf as the Holy Spirit is convicting our hearts to get ready for the sealing of the almighty King of the Universe…. Wow !!! This pastor is a big liar. Our pioneers were not arians. They believed in the divinity of Jesus Christ. And they believed that Jesus was the literal Son of God. They believed that Jesus was begotten of God as the Bible says. Shall I believe more a mere man than the Word of God ? Romans 8:9 (KJV) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 1 Corinthians 8:6 (KJV) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. SDA's 1980 doctrine of the Trinity is resume as stated: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is Three in one and one in three, they insist. Of that statement you will find only the expression God the Father in Scriptures. They believed that Jesus was begotten of God as the Bible says. Shall I believe more a mere man than the Word of God ? Not one of the founders could be baptized in the SDA church today including EG White because of the 28 Fundamental Beliefs. None of the founders were Trinitarians. EG White’s husband was very vocal about being a non Trinitarian. If EG White was a prophet, which she definitely was, she would have corrected him. Not one Bible verse says “ God the Holy Spirit”.

Trinitarianism isnt God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. Trinitarianism is father/mother/son as false deity. Please start there. This rabbit hole was made by satan. God the Father and the Son are one. The Holy Spirit is always described working independantly of the Son and Father. Our finite numeration cant comprehind a numeration to place them under. But the one absolute distinction that seperates sda's from "trinitarianism" is "the mother of heaven," which is "the mother of harlots." And that was our fundamental then, and it is our findamental now. The papacy states that mary was born emaculantly just as Jesus was. This is the heart of trinitarianism and the ancient occult.

Ron talks as if the word “Godhead” has some numerical value to it. The word for Godhead in the Greek simply means divinity. He is saying that the pioneers including, James White, did not believe in the full divinity of Christ. He couldn’t possibly be more wrong. Let’s let James White speak. “The father is greater than the son in that he was first. The son is equal to the father in that he has inherited all things.” (I don’t remember where to find that quote. Go find it yourself!) The pioneers looked in Genesis and saw that everything brings forth “after it’s kind.” They then concluded that if Jesus was begotten of his father before time began then by the law of inheritance he would have the same Devine life as his father had. In other words, if the God’s life was “original, unborrowed and underived” then Jesus would also have the same original, unborrowed and underived life as the father, which should remind us of the words of Jesus in John 5:26. Look it up.

God would reveal himself progressively? Many of the pioneers were already trinitarians except those from the Christian Connection like Joseph Bates and James White, and they abolished the trinity when they realized its not biblical, its just a solution for Greek philosophy problems. So you sir are saying God gave the message of "Fear God" to people who didn't know who's that God? Waiting for them to "progress" back to one of the oldest wrong doctrines? The central doctrine of the catholic church. And whoever tells you the catholic trinity is different is wrong, check the language of the fundamental beliefs. It is the same. However some Adventists nowadays are tritheists which is worst.

Anyone who can read Biblical Greek can easily see that the Comforter is Jesus. The Greek word is "parakletos." It occurs only five times in the New Testament, always written by John. In the last occurrence, the Trinitarian translators of the Bible changed this from their consistent "Comforter" translation to "advocate." This was in 1 John 2:1 which identifies our Parakletos as Jesus Christ.

"The distinction between the manifestations of the Holy Spirit and the personal presence of Christ at his second appearing is made very plain in the Scriptures. Says Jesus, "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter." John 14:16. This language implies the DISTINCT EXISTENCE of MORE THAN ONE COMFORTER. When Christ was with is people, he was their comforter. In his absence, the Father was to send another Comforter, even the Spirit of truth. During the absence of the Son, the Holy Spirit was to be his representative, and the comforter of his sorrowing people. {1865? JW, SEADV 11.3}

I have a question. If Jesus was omnipresent before He came to earth as a man. And He lost the ability to be omnipresent how was He auto send Himself back as the Comforter?

THE SECOND COMMANDMENT, THE TRINITY, AND THE OMNIPRESENCE OF GOD I always wondered what was so significant about the second Commandment that Rome found it necessary to remove it altogether from the Ten Commandments. But it appears that there is a fundamental truth in that Commandment concerning where God's presence is that is intended to protect us from all forms of false worship. The second Commandment tells us that we should not bow down before any image. This implies that God is not in any image. Which means that God is not everywhere. The Bible tells us that God is in heaven; and heaven is not everywhere. Heaven is above the earth and that is where we should direct our worship to God, where He is. He knows everything that happens everywhere and can go wherever He pleases but His abode is in heaven where Jesus, our High Priest and intercessor, is presenting our cases to Him. - "Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens" (Heb. 8:1). Furthermore, both the prophets Daniel and John saw God in heaven with the angels gathered around His throne and Jesus being separate and distinct (Dan. 7 and Rev. 4, 5). Daniel said "the Ancient of days did sit" (Dan. 7:9) and "one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days" (Dan. 7:13). John said "one sat on the throne" (Rev. 4:2) who was worshipped as the Creator to whom it was said "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created" (Rev. 4:11), with Jesus appearing before Him to receive a book and power and authority, as the Lamb who was slain, while the angels sang, "Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." (Rev. 5:13). God is not everywhere all at once like a vapour while part of Him or an image sits on the throne representing Him. God Himself sits, of whom man was made in His image after His likeness, "made after the similitude of God" (James 3:9). Logically, if God is everywhere, He can be worshipped wherever He is. One could then bow down and worship before a stone, a tree, a person or any object, not as worshipping the object but as worshipping God, since God is in it. That would open the door for the worship of false Gods as no one would be able to tell the difference whether you are worshipping the true God or not. It would not be consistent to forbid worshipping before an object if God is in the object and one is worshipping, not the object, but God who is in the object. This is evident in the experience of the children of Israel in the wilderness. God appeared to them in a cloud and they were not forbidden to bow before Him in the cloud - "And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud" (Ex. 19:9), "And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door" (Ex. 33:10). If God is not in a particular place, say in an image, it means that there is at least one place where He is not. He cannot be everywhere and not everywhere at the same time. The idea that the Holy Spirit is God present everywhere was precisely the argument that Dr. John Harvey Kellogg put forward to justify his pantheistic teachings. And Ellen White told him that he was wrong. Initially, he said that God was in everything. And when God instructed Ellen White to oppose it, he modified it by saying that at the time of his first presentation of the matter in the book "The Living Temple" he did not believe in the Trinity. Because of that, he said he had not given a clear explanation of the matter. He went on to explain that he had now come to believe in the Trinity and could better explain his idea. The new explanation was that it was not God the Father, but God the Holy Ghost who was everywhere and in everything. Ellen White told him that he was wrong. And we can see why. If God the Holy Spirit is everywhere and can be worshipped, it is a doorway to replace worshipping God and Christ in heaven entirely. Another modified version of Kellogg's idea is that the Holy Spirit is really Christ himself or both God and Christ in an omnipresent form. This is also not correct as it places God and Christ on earth rather than in heaven. The pioneers of Seventh-day Adventism stated in their Fundamental Principles of faith published in the 1889 Yearbook that God was everywhere present by His representative, the Holy Spirit. At face value, this would suggest that this representative is omnipresent. But it is perhaps more consistent with scripture to say that He is everywhere present by His representatives the holy spirits. Holy spirits are ministering spirits sent from heaven - "And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man." (John1:51). "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Heb. 1:14). This is consistent with the Hebrew word ruach and the Greek word pneuma that are translated in the Bible as spirit. These words are also translated spirits, thus indicating that the Holy Spirit need not be seen as one individual being who is omnipresent but many spirit beings representing God everywhere. From this perspective, there is no denying that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, sent at Pentecost is a person - only not a God-being to be worshipped. Like the Angel of Revelation 18 who comes down from heaven with the latter rain - a similar occurrence as that which took place at Pentecost except more extensive - the Comforter would be seen as a messenger sent by Christ from heaven, as stated repeatedly in John 14-16. Ellen G. White describing the latter rain speaks of a mighty angel from heaven being sent to do this work and further said, "Angels were sent to aid the mighty angel from heaven" (Ellen. G. White, Story of Redemption, p. 399). It should be noted that Jesus's warning against blaspheming against the Holy Spirit is not implying that the Holy Spirit is more to be revered than Jesus Himself. Jesus went back to heaven and promises to return to this earth to take us to His Father's house in heaven. He left the Holy Spirit to guide us until He returns. If we reject that guidance by blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, there will be nobody to guide us. The situation is like what God told the children of Israel in the wilderness - "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him." (Ex. 23:20, 21). It is simply warning us not to reject the Holy Spirit's guidance. It is not forbidding us seeking to understand who the Holy Spirit is or what the Holy Spirit does. So, there we have it. The church has now fully accepted Kellogg's idea. Ellen White said that the initial presentation by Kellogg was the alpha of deadly heresies. She said that the omega would follow shortly afterwards and would be accepted. And it did follow shortly afterwards in Kellogg's modified version, based on his acceptance of the Trinity. And the church has now fully accepted it - that God (the Holy Spirit) is everywhere and should be worshipped. So, based on current practice, Jesus is worshipped, the Holy Spirit is worshipped but the One true God is almost entirely ignored. Jesus, praying to His Father, made it clear who the "only true God" is and identified Himself as the one sent by God - "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3). Nowhere in the Bible is worship given to anyone else except the one seated on the throne who is referred to as "LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come" (Rev.4:8) and to Christ, the Lamb, as it will be in the new earth - "And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it." (Rev. 21:22). God is the Father of Christ. Accordingly, Christ, the Lamb is seen with "an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads" (Rev. 14:1). It is the name of the Lamb's Father that will be written in their foreheads. Whatever one's concept of the Godhead, the term "godhead" is used only three times in the Bible (Acts 17:29, Rom. 1:20 and Col. 2:9) and in none of these places is the expression used to replace the idea of God being a single individual who has a Divine Son who is worshipped alongside Himself. And not even once does the term "godhead" in scripture allude to the worship of anyone else. All worship should be directed to God and Christ in heaven. It is not about where we are when we worship but, like sending a petition to the king of England, we do not send it to Spain or Australia but to him in England where he is. Similarly, Jesus in teaching us how to pray directed that we say, "Our Father which art in heaven". We should not be praying to nor worshipping anything on earth. We should pray to God in heaven, approaching His throne through Christ, our Mediator, and we should direct our worship to heaven where God is. This is the substance of the second Commandment that Rome has removed.

I believe in the Trinity, but I never believe Ron believes all the mainstream scientism, and the deep state and CIA had nothing to do with JFK and twin towers... so NASA produces a picture of the earth and he's convinced. He mentions a text of the Bible saying the Circle of the Earth, and he concludes it's a ball? So every time I eat a Circle Pizza I'm eating a round spheroid pizza??

I'm with you 100%. Having studied Hebrew and Greek for over six years, and knowing that our pastors also study these Biblical languages and should know better, the things I'm seeing in our church today bring literal heartache. I want to think that the pastors are just forgetful of their lessons, and ignorant. But it beggars belief. I don't want to think they would intentionally be feeding God's people lies. Why would they do this? The Bible is so clear. The Father is the only true God (John 17:3), and was Jesus' God as well as ours (John 20:17).

@@user-fd1lj4pn4gthey have been brainwashed with the ‘history’ that they were taught about how ‘few’ of the pioneers believed in the personality of God as they did, and not in the 3 in 1 God, this was noted to be unanimous for well over 50 years and past EGW death,… (evidence for this in the recorded 1919 meeting) and she refers to this belief as a pillar and also refers to this being part of what makes “us part of who we are”, beliefs they held “for the last 50 years” … but if you call it a conspiracy… well then I guess no one needs to look further or be shamed 🙄🙄🙄

The word of God gives us plenty of evidence that God is the Father not three. That Jesus is the literal son of God not metaphorical.

But according to BRI and SDA Bible Commentary 1 John 5:7 cannot be used to prove the Trinity doctrine because it was not in the original manuscripts. Their own trinitarian theologians recognized that.

Who was Evangelism compiled by? Go to the original quote and see what it says in context. Evangelism was compiled by Leroy Froome, who Ellen White, sternly rebuked and stopped his book from being published. When he side stepped and got it to be printed, the whole pronting building and his plates were destroyed....

Ellen was right the Alpha was big but the Omega would be so bad that she shuttered for Gods people. Look up all the verses on God the father, Christ-Jesus-son of God, and Holy Spirit. In the KJV only. You will get the right concept of the truth.

To those in the SDA church seeking an understanding of this subject, you will never know the multitude of falsehoods in this sermon unless you study this issue for YOURSELF and study it FROM the Bible with an OPEN HEART. As a nontrinitarian, I can tell you this sermon is riddled with falsehoods about what nontrinitarians believe. The claims made are calculated to deceive you and secure you in a belief of the false god of the trinity. If you want to know what we SDA nontrinitarians believe and why we hold to the teachings in our past history, GO TO A NONTRINITARIAN and ask. The truth needs no false pretensions to prop it up and it can bear investigation. But have confidence in this at least, that the explanations you get from a trinitarian about what nontrinitarians believe is going to be slanted at best, and a lie at worst. Prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.

I don't mean to sound angry, since we all agree that the letter killeth, while a personal presence giveth life. The letter has the built-in disadvantage of causing misunderstanding and strife. So Lord please help me. The above comment is general, but pointed enough to plead with anyone with a difference of understanding that they should seek out the other side of the story. This is what courtrooms do. Would to God that the scientific and religious communities might also use evidence from the opposers on the issues of the flood and creation. This is not a thoughtless request. And on the subject of the Godhead, looking at the opposite evidence is not rejecting a counterfeit in order to keep yourself unpoisoned. It's doing as Ellen White counseled following the 1888 warzone. She said that we should counsel together and to not automatically cry error because it disagrees with our interpretation of scripture. She also said that when there's no contradiction to established doctrine that causes us to dig deeper into scripture then we're in real danger. No doubt, in my opinion, there were 12 different opinions between the 12 tribes of Israel, maybe even 13 or 14 opinions. But they stayed together for a long time. And when the split came and the northern kingdom was taken away, the southern kingdom remained deeply concerned about them. So let the sparks fly, but also let brotherly love reign

POPULAR ARGUMENTS FOR THE TRINITY ADDRESSED The Bible teaches that there are three powers in heaven: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But it did not say that together, they are the one true God, or that they are co-equal. The concept of God as a Trinity has been prevalent in pagan religions and cultures but entirely absent from the religion of ancient Israel, the apostolic religion and even the religion of later pioneers such as James White, Joseph Bates, J. N. Andrews, J. N. Loughborough, J. H. Waggoner, and others. The Seventh-day Adventist church requires that persons wishing to become members make a vow to believe in "one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three coeternal Persons.” whereas the Bible does not explicitly teach that. The previous vow that persons took prior to 1980 was belief in "God the Father, in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit", which the Bible clearly teaches. The church has not allowed views like those of the pioneers to be expressed in the church and has disfellowshipped or sidelined those who hold similar beliefs as the pioneers on this matter. The church then accuses those very persons whom they forced out of the church and who then operate outside of the church, of causing division or calling people out of the church. Is that fair? Or is it a repeat of Ahab’s accusation against Elijah? A few of the popular arguments for the Trinity are now addressed below. 1. Assertion: SDA pioneers only objected to the Catholic version of the Trinity. Response: The pioneers of Seventh-day Adventism fully understood the doctrine of the Trinity and rejected it as error. Later, some persons such as John Harvey Kellogg and S. N. Haskel spoke favourably of the Trinity but earlier pioneers who Ellen White described as laying the foundations of our faith consistently objected to the Trinity. There is a common definition of the Trinity that is shared by all Trinitarians, whether Catholic or otherwise, even though explained differently by various bodies. This definition as given in the dictionary is that the one God of scripture is three co-equal persons. The SDA Church expresses its trinitarian belief that “There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three coeternal Persons.” (SDA Fundamental Beliefs number 2). The definition of who is Catholic, as given in the Edict of Thessalonica expresses the same idea as follows: “let us believe in the one deity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, in equal majesty and in a holy Trinity. We authorize the followers of this law to assume the title of Catholic Christians; but as for the others, since, in our judgment they are foolish madmen, we decree that they shall be branded with the ignominious name of heretics” (Edict of Thessalonica issued 380 AD). This definition of who is Catholic and who is heretic was used as the basis for persecuting God’s people during the dark ages and continues to define what is considered Christian orthodoxy by the World Council of Churches (WCC). The Basis of the WCC speaks of “one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” (Basis of the WCC, adopted by the Third Assembly (New Delhi 1961). The Bible teaches otherwise, as Jesus, in praying, stated that the one true God is His Father - “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” (John 17:3). 2. Assertion: The Hebrew word for “one” that describes God really means “united”. Response: The Bible says that God is one (echad). The word echad is the first counting number in Hebrew, as with the numeral one. In other places of the Bible God is described using similar words such as “only” (quoted above in Jesus’s prayer), “none else”, “no other”, “He”, “none like me”. The Jews themselves, in whose language the word echad is used to describe God, understood it to mean one individual. The one God (one supreme Being) of the Bible is Jesus’s Father - “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named” (Eph. 3:14, 15). The Father has no co-equals. He is “the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see” (1 Tim. 6:15, 16). There aren’t three supreme beings, only One. All other beings are subject to Him. Another word that Trinitarians appeal to is Elohim, where God (Elohim) said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness” (Gen. 1:26). They assume that God (Elohim) is three persons. The Bible does not say that. Ellen White explains, “I saw that when God said to his SON, Let us make man in our image, Satan was jealous of JESUS.” (Ellen G. White, Spiritual Gifts, Vol. 1, pp. 17, 18). God (the Father of Christ) was speaking to His Son only. His Son is “the express image of His person” (Heb. 1:3). Ellen White speaks again explicitly in the following words: “The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in His work of beneficence. He had an associate - a co-worker who could appreciate His purposes”. “Christ, the Word, the only begotten of God, was one with the eternal Father - one in nature, in character, in purpose - the only being that could enter into all the counsels and purposes of God.” (E. G. White, Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 34). 3. Assertion: Jesus is co-equal with the Father Response: Jesus never claimed full equality with God, His Father, at any point in His existence. Before He came to earth, His Father anointed and appointed Him - “Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Heb. 1:9; see also verse 2). While He was on earth, He said “my Father is greater than I” (John 14:28). After sin is finished, He will still be subject to His Father - “And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” (1 Cor. 15:28). 4. Assertion: The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father Response: The Bible does not speak anywhere of a third God-Being who has the image or likeness of God or “the similitude of God.” (James 3:9). There is no denying that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, sent at Pentecost is a person - only not a God-being to be worshipped. Like the Angel of Revelation 18, the Comforter carries out a work of worldwide extent and is aided by other heavenly beings. Ellen G. White describing the latter rain speaks of a mighty angel from heaven being sent to do this work and further said, "Angels were sent to aid the mighty angel from heaven" (Ellen. G. White, Story of Redemption, p. 399). The language of John 14-16 speaks of someone whom Jesus would ask the Father to send. That Person would not speak of himself but would speak only what He hears and would bring back to the minds of the disciples the things that Jesus would have told them - “he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak” (John 16:13). The three powers of heaven are God, Christ, and angels. There are many such references; for example: “I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things” (1 Tim. 5:21). These are the same ones who were present at the creation - “Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? …. When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” (Job 38:4-7). Again, “Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne” (Rev.1:4). These seven spirits are later described as “seven lamps of fire” (Rev. 4:5) and as “the seven angels which stood before God” (Rev. 8:2). This is consistent with the Hebrew word ruach and the Greek word pneuma that are translated in the Bible as spirit. These words are also translated spirits, thus indicating that the Holy Spirit need not be seen as one individual being who is omnipresent but many spirit beings representing God everywhere. 5. Assertion: Ellen White led the church into a Trinitarian understanding of God. Response: Ellen White never used the term Trinity to describe God. She spoke of three persons of the godhead, which is consistent with the view expressed here that the Holy Spirit is a person, just not someone co-equal with God or to be worshipped. Regarding Ellen White’s statement that “In Christ is life, original, unborrowed, underived” (Desire of Ages, p. 530), the full statement shows that it is not Jesus Himself that is being described, but rather, life - which Jesus has and is able to impart. Here is the full statement as it was originally published in Signs of the Times: “In Him was life, original, unborrowed, underived. This life is not inherent in man. He can possess it only through Christ.” (The Signs of the Times, April 8, 1897; also Selected Messages, vol. 1, pp. 296, 297). Being described is the nature and quality of this life and not the origin of it. Original - not a pattern or copy, but something genuine, authentic. Unborrowed - does not have to be returned. Underived - not being drawn from a source; He has it in Himself. How He came in possession of it? It was given to Him by His Father. Jesus said: “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself” (John 5:26). The Trinity denies the most fundamental truth of the gospel that God loved us to the point of giving His only begotten Son to die for us (John 3:16). It was not an eternal God who cannot die, but the literal Son of God who did die and was raised from the dead by His Father (Gal.1:1).

The New Testament church was not the Catholic church. Are you a Jesuit, sir? Your preaching is very ecumenical. The Catholics are not our brothers and sisters. Christ says "Come out of her my people." His people who are in the Catholic church are our brothers and sisters.

Jesus comes to us in his divine nature, the Holy Spirit because forever more he has taken the nature of man and interceding for us in the most holy place but present with us through the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. " The Spirit of Truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him: FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU (present tense), and shall be in you ( future tense) John 14: 16-18. Please tell me where in this verse it says as you say, "Jesus is the Spirit."? You can't juxtapose "He dwelleth in you" and "Who dwelt with the disciples?" What part of "Baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit" is lacking truth or inspiration from God? What part of the "Holy Spirit came down in the form of a dove" is lacking in truth or inspiration?

You want to know the problem with doctrine? When all we do is give great sermons, moving people to change their lives and FORGET to cover the basics behind our faith we start thinking like the rest of Christendom. Every so often I hear of a loving SDA passing away. Along with that I find loving SDA family members declaring that person is in Heaven watching over us. If we aren't teaching it or if we aren't teaching people to "study for themselves" we leave them without the things that move us to thirst after righteousness. Maranatha!

Well said. Unfortunately doctrines ain't the priority now in SDA church. It's all love love love. Ellen White calls it false charity or free-loveism and says it's Spiritualism . Yes the new age movement has taken over.

It is as easy to make an idol of cherished ideas or objects as to fashion gods of wood or stone. Thousands have a false conception of God and His attributes. They are as verily serving a false god as were the servants of Baal. Are we worshiping the true God as He is revealed in His Word, in Christ, in nature, or are we adoring some philosophical idol enshrined in His place? God is a God of truth. Justice and mercy are the attributes of His throne. He is a God of love, of pity and tender compassion. Thus He is represented in His Son, our Saviour. He is a God of patience and long-suffering. Wow !!! This pastor is a big liar. Our pioneers were not arians. They believed in the divinity of Jesus Christ. And they believed that Jesus was the literal Son of God. They believed that Jesus was begotten of God as the Bible says. Shall I believe more a mere man than the Word of God ? Romans 8:9 (KJV) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 1 Corinthians 8:6 (KJV) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV) Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. SDA's 1980 doctrine of the Trinity is resume as stated: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is Three in one and one in three, they insist. Of that statement you will find only the expression God the Father in Scriptures. So this must be the same with the Divine except much more than that because the spirit of God can manifest itself in any form. God show His light according to the era and reasoning and discussion and correction is what scripture says. According to the light we know what says in the scripture says....Catholic terminology of trinity is very different from SDA terminology of trinity because SDA derived from scripture.

Yes, and no. While each one should study on his or her own, those who have a firm grasp of the truth do have a duty to be watchmen on the wall of Zion. Ezekiel 3 and 33 present this duty.

A curious observation, not without warrant.

Pastor Kelly quoted Isaiah 40:20 regarding the circle of the earth to mean the globe, but it actually fits better with a flat earth. A flat earth is a circle, a globe is just that, "a globe". If you read all of the text, it goes on to say about the heavens being stretched out as a curtain, and stretched them out as a tent to dwell in. If you think of the firmament as a covering over the (flat) earth, Isaiah 40:20 makes more sense, there is your tent to dwell in. As regards the issue of the trinity within the church, the church leaders should be willing to openly discuss it, reluctance to do so would indicate lack of proof. I believe the church leaders made a big mistake over Covide 19 and the ensuing vaccines, it would appear that they followed the scientific narrative promoted by government. I have been a member of the SDA Church for over 50 years, I am 80 years of age in good health and didn't take the vaccine. I know of people who are supposedly still getting Covid, and they have had all the vaccines. I have lost confidence in the SDA leadership, I have only a secondary education and saw right through the narrative being pushed on us. The leadership with all their high academic qualifications, fell hook line and sinker for the "plandemic". 0

Just an important fact. Ellen G. White DID NOT AUTHOR the Book Early Writings, (compiled book). The pg. 227 .1 should be compared to the Original "1858 Great Controversy Between Christ and His Angels and Satan and His angels", pg 126 and 127. I mean no offence to anyone who reads this post here. My only concern is you look for yourselves at these changes made, and ask yourselves, Did God really ask her to change her writing as those in the Church say He did? As far as this Controversy about the trinity, the Bible tells us that there is The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit was given to Christ after His Baptism. Christ's Priesthood is after the order of Melchisedec , ad we find out through searching the Bible that, Melchisedec (Isn't this interesting!)

At one time I had ALL the original books, but the house fire took them. I just now found Spirit of Prophecy Vol 1-4 in PDF form online and downloaded it.... There is so much written, rewritten, and 'fake-written' it is difficult to keep up. BUT, my KJV Bible still says the same thing it said 50yr ago when I bought it (though it is fire-worn and still smells of that tragedy, but I LOVE IT) Understanding The Godhead is imperative to our understanding of Who we worship and the 10 Commandments. One of the first statements out of his mouth (re trinity)is that the spirit of christ is not the holy spirit . Fyi 1peter1:10,11 2peter 1:21 Peter said the holy ghost is the spirit of christ. Just a suggestion please study the bible for yourself. So sad So sad.Hearing offshoot sda sermons as these is chilling evidence that Mrs White is correct saying protestants will reach across divide an join hands with papacy,just was not expecting the general conference sda to be with the mix. It's clear Christ's return is closer than we expect His windowing fan is in His hand. We Must be as the wise virgins not corrupted with doctrines of man ,Follow the Lamb. A COUNTERFEIT OF THE THREE ANGELS MESSAGES? “The doctrine of the Trinity which was established in the church by the council of Nice, A. D. 325. This doctrine destroys the personality of God, and his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. “This doctrine of the trinity was brought into the church about the same time with image worship, and keeping the day of the sun, and is but Persian doctrine remodeled “The Alexandria catechetical school, which revered Clement of Alexandria and Origen, the greatest theologian of the Greek Church, as its heads, applied the allegorical method to the explanation of Scripture. Ps Kelly, you are preaching another gospel that is not in the Bible, and you should know what apostle Paul said, (please read Galatians 1:8). You believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, a separate being from the Father and the Son, the third being or the so-called "Godhead"; but this can't farther from the truth. Why? Simply because in Scriptures we find ONLY two divine beings: God, the Father, and His only begotten Son, and not three, (John 14:1, 17:3, 1 Corinthians 8:6 and 1 John 2:22). And concerning the Holy Spirit, the scriptures clearly and plainly tell us that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father and of the Son, (2 Corinthians 3:17 and Galatian 4:6). Or were Jesus, apostles John and Paul wrong? Also, non of the pioneers, including Ellen White, were trinitarians. Jerry Moon had this to say, I quote, “That most of the leading SDA pioneers were non-Trinitarian in their theology has become accepted Adventist history, surprising as it sounded to most Adventists 40 years ago when Erwin R. Gane wrote an M.A. thesis on the topic. More recently, a further question has arisen with increasing urgency: was the pioneers’ belief about the Godhead right or wrong? As one line of reasoning goes, the pioneers were wrong and the present church is right, or the pioneers were right and the present Seventh-day Adventist Church has apostatized from biblical truth.” (Jerry Moon, The Trinity, page 190) And Ellen White said, I quote, “Cumbered with humanity, Christ could not be in every place personally; therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them, go to His Father, and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself, divested of the personality of humanity, and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit, as the Omnipresent. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall [although unseen by you] teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. ... Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” {Lt119-1895.18} Concerning the Comforter, Jesus said, I quote, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." (John 14:18) Now according to Jesus, who is the Comforter? Non other than Jesus Himself. Ellen White, too, said, I quote, “This refers to the omnipresence of the SPIRIT OF CHRIST, called the COMFORTER.” - (E.G. White, 14MR 179.2) “As by faith we look to Jesus, our faith pierces the shadow, and we adore God for His wondrous love in giving JESUS THE COMFORTER.” - (E.G. White, 19MR 297.3) And what is sin against the Holy Spirit? Ellen White said, I quote, "The sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit does not lie in any sudden word or deed; it is the firm, determined resistance of truth and evidence (MS 30, 1890)." (5BC 1093.1) "No one need look upon the sin against the Holy Ghost as something mysterious and indefinable. The sin against the Holy Ghost is the sin of persistent refusal to respond to the invitation to repent.” (The Review and Herald, June 29, 1897). {5BC 1093.2} And the spirit the truth is Jesus, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me", (John 14:6). Ellen White, W. C. White, said, I quote, “The statements and arguments that of some of our ministers, in their effort to prove that the Holy Spirit is an individual as are God the Father and Christ, the eternal Son, have perplexed me, and sometimes they have made me sad. One popular teacher said ‘We regard Him, as the fellow who is down here running things,’” (Letter, W. C. White to H. W. Carr, April 30, 1935)

Praise the Lord. Just yesterday, we just heard a sermon about this very topic and my family said we should really study it out, and this popped up!! Praise The Lord!!!!

I would suggest that you study it by yourself like you wanted before you found this sermon. Search Fundamental Principles of SDA in 1872 . In 1905 sister White stated that those pillars should not be removed. Search words as landmarks, fundamentals, pillars, last fifty years. You will be surprised.

PERSON AND BEING ACCORDING TO EGW. Ellen White demonstrated a distinction between the words “PERSON” and “BEING.” While she speaks of three persons or personalities and powers in the Godhead, she consistently identifies “ONLY” two beings -- the Father and His Son. Thus the words “PERSON” and “BEING” have different meanings to Ellen White. She called Jesus Christ by His Spirit a “PERSON,” but she obviously did not mean a literal person which has confused some. “When trials overshadow the soul, remember the words of CHRIST, remember that HE is an unseen presence in the PERSON of the Holy Spirit,” - (Ellen G. White, DG(Daughters of God) 185.2, 1897). So when she calls the Holy Spirit a person, she is NOT referring to another being. She is referring to Christ by HIS Holy Spirit.

I don't know what your questions were, but this man is NOT telling the truth. Bible study and research reveal the truth and his claims do not match a "thus saith the Lord". Isaiah 8:20 applies to this man's claims.

What book is that , that he is devoting the whole sermon on it?

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. This Bible verse applies to this video.

The Adventist forgot that they came from the Church of God in the 1800s, and they were not trinitarians.

Sophistries. Few can discern the result of entertaining the sophistries advocated by some at this time. But the Lord has lifted the curtain, and has shown me the result that would follow. The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God, followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. REVELATION CONFIRMS ONE GOD, ONE MEDIATOR AND HOLY SPIRITS Jesus said: “The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord” (Mark 12:29). The scribe, to whom Jesus spoke, responded, “Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he” (Mark 12:32). To this, the Divine record says, “And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.” (Mark 12:34). Jesus considered the scribe’s answer a discreet one. Revelation confirms that God is one person, not three. In vision, John saw that “one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone” (Rev. 4:2, 3). The beings around the throne worship Him, saying “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Rev. 4:11). He is the Creator. Separate from this Being who is called “Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come” (Rev. 4:8), we see Jesus, as the “Lamb that was slain” (Rev. 5:12). The beings in heaven worship both God and Christ, saying “Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” (Rev. 5:13). The book of Revelation begins with a declaration of a chain of command: God gave to Christ, Christ gave to His angel, and the angel gave to John - “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John” (Rev. 1:1). There is no confusion here, and most people seem to understand this. The Revelation continues with greetings being brought to the seven churches from God, Christ and the seven spirits before God’s throne - “Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead” (Rev. 1:4, 5). This is where some people get confused - they say that it is not really seven spirits but one spirit - the ‘seven-fold’ spirit. But the Revelation is clear that the seven spirits are seven discrete entities, not one entity - “And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.” (Rev. 4:5). What are these seven lamps of fire before God’s throne, who can send greetings? They must be living beings! Is there any category of living beings who are described as lamps of fire? Let the scriptures answer - “And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.” (Heb. 1:7); and further, “But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Heb. 1:14). There ought to be no confusion as to who these seven spirits are, who send greetings. But lest some say that they are still unclear, let the scriptures describe in further detail those who stand before God’s throne - “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God” (Rev. 8:1, 2). Recall that it is the same scene in which the throne of God is described with seven lamps of fire before it, and the lamb came to Him that sat on the throne, took the book from His hand and started to open the seals of the book. The word of God is clear, for those who will receive it. THE PERSONHOOD OF THE HOLY SPIRIT The big challenge of most Trinitarians and Non-Trinitarians alike is that they fail to accept all that the scriptures say about the Holy Spirit without adding to it. Trinitarians accept that the Holy Spirit is a Person - He speaks, He can be grieved, He is sent, He is separate from Jesus, as seen when Jesus was in the water and the Holy Spirit appeared separately as a dove etc. - all scriptural; but they add to the scriptures by saying that He is co-equal with the Father and should be worshipped - totally unscriptural. Many Non-Trinitarians on the other hand reject all the scriptures that point to the Holy Spirit as someone that Jesus sends in His place to comfort us till He returns - “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you” (John 15:26); and “but if I depart, I will send him unto you” (John 16:7) etc. and claim that there is no third individual called the Comforter. The Bible and Ellen White are clear that there is a third being, the Comforter, who is sent to dispense spiritual gifts and coordinate the work until Christ returns. The Angel of Revelation 18 will come at the right time to do a similar but more extensive work. Ellen G. White describing the latter rain speaks of a mighty angel from heaven being sent to do this work and further said, "Angels were sent to aid the mighty angel from heaven" (Ellen. G. White, Story of Redemption, p. 399). Much of the confusion on the part of many Non-Trinitarians has to do with the fact that the mind is also called spirit. So, yes, Christ’s spirit (or mind) is in us, meaning that our minds (thoughts) are shaped by His mind through His word that we accept and believe, but this should not be confused with the fact that the Comforter is a separate being sent by Christ - just not a co-equal; and there is only one supreme Being, the Father of Christ, not three.

It will be poured out on the one who makes it desolate (Daniel 9:27). Great changes will soon occur in this world and the final movement will be rapid (9T11): Let no one deceive you by any means. First came the apostasy and then that man of lawlessness, the son of destruction That day will not come until the eighth king(Pope Francis) who enters appears (2 Thessalonians 2:3): ​ 1 John 2:27 For the anointing which you received from the Lord abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you; but his anointing (27 years) teaches you about all things, which is true and is not a lie; just as it has taught you, so do you abide in the Lord. Abide Matthew 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John (the 27th year). Nehemiah 6:15 And the work of the city was finished on the 25th day of the month Elul, after 52 days: 52-25 = 27 years: Let no one deceive you by any means. First there was the apostasy (321/325/1582) and then the appearance of that man of lawlessness (Pope Gregory), the son of destruction (the eighth king). For that day shall not come (2 Thessalonians 2:3): 1582 + 430 years = The beast (666) that existed 2012 years ago and is now gone is the eighth king (Francis in 2013), and is one of the seven. He will go into destruction (Revelation 17:11). The eighth king is currently 2024 (age 87) + 3 and a half years = age 90 (three months). Jubilee 50-33 cross + one week and half of seven weeks = 27.5 years: Prohibition of Jewish sacrifices and offerings + 2,000 years = 2027 Prohibition of Protestant sacrifices and offerings

Newme. If I may suggest John 17: 11says as we are one. " WE" can mean any number. The context for R.Kellys quote could be chap 16 and the work of the Holy Spirit Jesus promised to send after His ascencsion. All heaven is working together for our salvation from sin and Satans power . The Father sent Jesus to die in our place. When His work was finished here on earth Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to take His place on earth in teaching and guiding people back to Jesus to be reconciled baxk to the Father .
