I really like the lift time of the 240 volt motor.

Great info, I too was trying to decide on this lift. I am in unloading my SS-11000 today. Glad to see that the bridge jack is suitable for the heavy Ram Cummins 2500 which I also have. Thank you for posting this.

@@bghrny The discount I received from Mike on the lift and the bridge jack covered the "destination fee". I was fortunate to be within a couple hours of their warehouse in Melbourne, FL so I save on shipping.

I'll be doing a 7+ month update review and maintenance video soon. I have about 75 lifting cycles on it now.

Nice lift. I would still like to have the flipper stops on both ends. Maybe they can get them engineered and added on the next Chinese order!

When I picked up my lift in Melbourne, FL I met Ken from Ken's Klassics Automotive Lifts sales and installations who was wearing an Advantage Lifts shirt and also picking up an SS-11000-WD. Ken said the SS-11000-WD did not have the flappers due to the increased rating. I guess he meant the flapper were not ideal for the 11000-pound load. I like the cosmetics of the flappers, but the stopper plates are fine.

Great video and nice lift! Can the motor/reservoir unit be rotated to front of lift and not on side?? And, any corner?? Thanks!

The motor can be mounted on any of the 3 sides of the post. I chose the inside of the post to prevent me from walking into it. The lift can be positioned with the motor at the passenger rear (like mine) or the driver front. Here is a great short video from Advantage Lifts on mounting the motor. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fnqGw6yvcrqdodY.html

Thanks for the video! I have one of these being delivered next week, so I hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions. You stated that you have the Electric bridge jack; where did you get that? On their website they only show an air jack and a manual jack. On the track width you stated there is only one setting on the 11000, but when I looked on the website they show two widths in the specs for the SS-11000-WD, 34.75" and 37.5"? Does this motor take a three wire or four wire plug? What plug did you use? What amperage breaker are you using for the outlet? Thanks again!

Thank you for your comment. I have the air bridge jack. I may have misspoke. I will take another look at the width. It is a 3 wire. The type plug you use is up to you. The requirement is 20 amp 240V. This is the same 240V plug on most air compressors. I chose to use a 30 amp 240V plug commonly used on welders. I use an adapter to plug in to my RV outlet. I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if I can assist you further. Also, the Advantage Lifts youtube installation videos are great.

I'm sorry for the late reply (thought I had). I measured and I'm 35" between the ramps. I do not see another hole to separate them further.

@mickeyj4228 Weird, I wonder why the dual measurements in the specs. My understanding was the ramp without the ram has two positions on the 9000XLT and SS-11000-WD. Guess I'll find out on Friday when mine gets here. I told my electrician to wire the lift for 240V 30A, so I should be good there. Thanks!

Ah ha, you are right! It's the 9000XLT that is adjustable. I was confused looking at the specs between the two lifts... @@mickeyj4228

@mickeyj4228 Had my SS-11000-WD installed Friday. Took the two men from Boggs Equipment in Phoenix 2.5 hrs. start to finish. They install two or three of these every day for a living, and their big truck had a nice boom lift. BTW, my actual tracks measure 38" apart on the inside (drivable surface, not the jack track). Lift is beautiful and works like a dream, I love it!

Do you know the drivethru width of this lift? The Advantage rep I spoke with didn't know that measurement. This would be between the polly covers on both sides, tire sidewall to tire sidewall.

I just walked out and measured, from the bottom of the pully cover side to side is 101 inches. Outside runway to outside runway is 85 inches. I drive my RAM 2500 on without folding the mirrors in. I you have any other questions or would like to have a call just let me know.

I appreciate it, my dually is a little wider than stock 103 inches side wall to side wall. Having a hard time finding a lift to accommodate, without going commercial

I've had a Ram dually on my lift, but it had stock tires and no wheel spacers. I just took the measurement from outside of cable to outside of the other cable and it is 110.5 inches. This is the measurement taken for my friends 2011 RAM dually as he measured from outside bed fender to outside bed fender which was only 96.5 inches. His tires did not stick out past the fenders. What truck do you have?

Are you confident in your measurements? Im curious as to what makes your F350 so much wider than stock? Think goigle says is 94 inches? My diesel pusher motorhome is the maximum DOT limit of 102 inches.

Why did you go with 4pt vs 2pt? Im looking at the same lift but keep thinking I'm going to be limited by not going with the 2pt, for example dropping k member on cars?

  • @mickeyj4228

    @mickeyj4228

Thank you for your comment. For removing a K-Member or a truck cab a 2 post would be great. I actually had more experience with 2 post lifts than 4 posts. I originally thought the runways would be in my way. The rolling air bridge jack and rolling jack tray are a game changer! My decision came down to safety and lift stability and the type of work I would mostly be doing. I hated crawling around setting the lift points on a 2 post. When doing suspension parts, final torque must be done with the weight of the car on the suspension, more crawling on the floor. The runways make great work surfaces, and you always have a place to set your tools and parts without using carts or the floor. Good luck in your decision! I hope this helps. Please let me know what you decide. The Advantage Lifts folks are great to work with.
