This is the best racket review format imo. Feels very real and unbiased. I actually own every racquet featured in this video minus the pure strike vs. The Ezone is my favourite by far.

Firstly, a fabulous comparative review. Would love to see ATT keep up this review format. Jasper is an excellent player and provides good insights into each racquet (as opposed to the more generic, “honestly, it’s a decent stick” for just about anything!). No surprise he was underwhelmed with the Blade v8. Probably needed more lead to get the swingweight up sufficiently. It’s got a modest swingweight in stock form for a racquet marketed for advanced players.
Cracking video. Great to see the review process from a 1st person perspective - great idea
Love this format racquet review especially given the high standard of Tennis playing ability, knowledge and the great analysis. Fab.

Absolutely great job guys.
Great video, love the bracket format and comparing racquets head to head. Any qualms over the disparity in the string in each racquet? Was surprised to see that wasn't identical across frames
amazing test and a great player!
I picked the ezone 98 too last march. I loved this racquet. I loved playing with it and I did well in tournaments. My arm and elbow didn't so much. It's a shame I had to leave it and pick another racquet. Very nice video.
Yeah, look, people tend to say that feeling is subjective, but IMO, feeling is NOT subjective, but the way that we interpret it is. The way he describes a stiff racquet as not sending vibrations is kind of misleading, but I can understand that he is interpreting flexing in the frame as a vibration, not as energy dissipating. In my town, people usually talk about the pure drive as being a soft racquet, but they want to say that you get easy power. Something to keep in mind, also, is that this kind of description happens because ppl string flexible racquets high and they feel boardy (not saying that this happened in the video, even though they didn't tell what the string and tension was/were).
I think he has the cleanest technique with the yonex, too. Felt that from the first hit with this racket
Interesting process of the rackets test based upon the one currently used and the user’s demand for the next👍🏻🎾
Perhaps the extreme tour with a bit of lead would have pleased him to, surely more than de boom. This Guy is Stan the man, ohbh with a psrf97, wow !!

Did you consider having him try the Babolat Pure Drive (weighted up, or Tour)? It gives quite a bit more power, like the Ezone he settled on. Great video, first time to the channel, liked and subscribed!
Great review. Would be useful to know where the extra lead was placed on the Ezone. Adding 10-15g is a significant change. Was it all in the hoop, or also in the handle?

Great comparison, and a great choice of racquets. Ez98 and Pure Aero VS are the punchiest of 305-310g control racquets, and most comparable to the ProStaff flex and weight distribution. For a pro tennis player it takes at least 2 weeks, but usually more to know if it likes a racqut and he can play with it. But i am glad that this guys do better and faster.
Yes! Yonex strikes again. Also to add, when you want to get multiple rackets, the quality control of the "Made in Japan" stick, is absolutely top of the industry. You will get sticks that are pretty much identical in spec from the factory, which is often pot luck with every other brand made in China. Great stick. Well done.
Tension for all rackets @50lbs with full poly. Weight was added at 3+9 and under the handle to maintain balance. Measured on a Yonex precision scan!

Hello. I played with the pro staff v13 stock form (315 g) without any lead. I now own the babolat pure strike vs. What are the weight related changes u can advise me to do so that I can customize the babolat as the same as the pro staff stock form? How many grams of lead tape did u add on the 3 and 9? cuz this is where I feel the most change should happen. Did u add anything on the 12 o clock ? Thank you
did andy murray take over for the voice portion? 😀
Were they all the same strings too? I think strings will make a big diff too especially if it is rough shaped vs not or different types
Just wondering why you didn't add lead to blade to get it to the same spec as the other racquets?
It would be nice to know the twistweight, swing weight, and balance of each used frame as well. (QC is not perfect and not each frame has the designed specs). And also having a single string would help. Since different strings and tensions affect the performance
Hmmm, who knows, as a user of 5 years of the Ezone DR98, maybe Yonex finally came around and delivered with the new Ezone generation. Definitely will go and test the new Ezone 98 and whonknows, maybe I'll get it as my backup racquet. I still won't let go of this amazing racquet that is the DR98.😅
For a spin and control game, I would look at the Head Extreme too.

This is the second video I've seen by you all and granted there are plenty of rackets out there but why are you including the Boom and not the Gravity?
How much weight and where did you end up adding on the ezone 98?
What tension did you string the Pure Strike VS with? It gives fine power if strung not more then 48 lbs co-poly 1.20. Its a bit string and tension sensitive. Bring the power up with string tension and it takes the cake over the Ezone.
Good video, I am a person who hits the ball hard but flat and it is difficult for me to lift, I always fight with the net and so that the balls do not come out in the background because I hit very flat. Which racket can be better for me, a racket with a spin 16x19 type pure aero or Vcore 2023, or a control racket with a thin frame type Wilson Blade v8?
Dunlop CX 200 Limited Edition which is a better 98 version of the Wilson RF97 and Technifiber TF305 RS 98 make great OHBH racquet with big pop and control. OHBH players enjoy the narrower throat like old 85inch mono throat frames when taking the racquet back. This is overlooked by many manufacturers with the plethora of double handed backhands.
Curious as to the reasoning behind trying a standard Vcore Pro and Ezone 98 that are weighted up vs. a Vcore Pro D or Ezone Tour. I can understand not liking the 18x20 on a vcore D maybe but an EZone Tour sounds like it may have been right on the money?

neither one of them was particularly impressive, I never need power but for a refined stroke I both felt a little off and with the ezone it wanted to hit a certain way, too hard and it was wild, too soft and it did relatively nothing.
The all black Wilson prostaff RF 97 v13 autograph is my favorite. Otherwise yonex are solid too
Great format. Only problem I have with it is that if the Ezone and the VS had been going head to head in the first round then the VS never would have made it to the finals.... even if it is better, for the reviewer/player, than let say the RF 97.... it then would seem like some lesser racket would have won over the VS as the VS get kicked in first round but the lsser racket makes it to the second round. I hope you get my point. maybe all the first and second round losers should be also compared to eachother.

The blade is standard lay up is really unstable……BUT it’s a really customisable frame. With a leather grip and lead tape, it’s unreal. My favourite racket of all time. I actually weighed my today as I guesstimated them and they’re both 375 grams dead on. What a fluke
Surprised the pure aero 98 isn’t in the vid
Wait guys so how much lead tape did they add to the EZ98? Is it for stability?
What's the string in Pure Strike at 0:52 ? The red one
For a refined swing I thought the ezone 98 either launched too hard or if softer stroked didnt do enough. There was really no crispness to it and the vcore 100 didnt fair much better.

I’m not sure how to rank him. He stands behind the baseline and takes time to set up every stroke and positions himself. He seems to reposition his racket before hitting each stroke. This all takes time. There is no way he could be a net / volley player when using so much time. I suppose for a club player he probably ranks very high. If your a club player and sit on or behind the baseline and just trade strokes and hope for a mis hit you will win lots of games as club players make tons of mistakes.
