I never noticed that groot and Hordor were not in the room, good editing!

If an edit isn't noticeable, that means it's a good edit. It doesn't take you out of the scene
thanks a lot. great tutorials. i hope i can be great stop motion artist one day :)

Hi, when you composite is that frame by frame or film clips, because I don't quite understand what's going on there??
This is fantastic! Perhaps the most interesting and helpful BTS you have released! This will be really helpful in making my own videos! I also really like the Color Correcting one. Can't wait for that Avengers one!
I really enjoy your behind the scenes videos and appreciate the effort that you put into them (as well as the brickfilms themselves of course) they are super helpful to a budding brickfilmer :)
You're very creative. I love watching your behind the scenes videos, please keep them coming.
This is great. Thanks for sharing. The lighting is proving to be a huge obstacle in my shooting.
you are so talented, I love stop motion and I get ridiculously excited every time I see one of your new videos thank you for what you do.
I'm amazed by all that work ! Keep it up lego dude
Thanks for "shedding some light" on your process... Love the BTS vids
Great tutorial, thanks! I asked for this a while back. I always have a little bit of trouble with lighting and cinematography in my brickfilms, this helped a lot! :-)
Wow man. I'm super impressed with your lighting abilities. Lighting is always a good chunk of what goes into a production, and I think you nailed it. It really went well with the mood of the scene. Keep up the amazing work!
Beautifully done.
This looks amazing im so trying this out! For my stop motions!
Thanks for an excellent video.
Hi! I'm a huge fan! Your videos have been inspiring me always when I've felt that I'm too horrible at making Lego Stop-Motion videos! I don't even have a tripod so my biggest problem this far has been unstable shooting and blurry pictures! You've always manage to get me practice more and more and not quit! Thanks a lot! Thanks for great inspiration!
Superb! Behind the scenes are always neat.
dude you are awesome, thank you for doing this videos
Thank you! I love your videos! :)
All I can say is COOL, and Creative!!
You guys are so freak'in AWESOME. Thanks again for that tutorial on lighting. Trying to find the right balance for a night parking lot scene with lego zombie nurses heading into work... this gave me some ideas!
Thank you that was very informative. Great job I always enjoy all of your films
The sets them self you make are already a master peice next the movies are
This was really instructive. I think I'll try some of these techniques on my next video. Thanks so much for continuing to share your tips and tricks. They're both interesting and a good motivator!
DANG!!! Awesome video!!! :D
I was just planning on making my next animation but I couldn't get the lighting right, but this really helped, Thanks so much :D
Its amazing how much detail there is in on video!! I love it !! ;-)

You have serious skills dude! Keep up the great work! :)
This is really helpful :D do more of these
wow soo much work!
Woah, this is cool!
Brotherhoodworkshop you inspired me to make animations and try to go full out thx
Awesome vid.
This video was very helpful. I loved making stop motions and putting on KZread. I've always kinda had trouble with certain lighting, some bcuz I use an iPhone to make all of mine, but people don't even notice cuz I work really really hard to make em look legit. Anyways, this video helped me a lot.
I Love your tutorials 😉
This is very interesting!
I love you channel!
I also did a bunch of on set lighting for the bunches of glowing potion shots in We the Pumpkins Three. For one shot with a cauldron I couldn't find a way to hide the wiring, so I just masked it out in post. I need to get more fancy lights, though. Have you ever thought of getting some bulbs of a more neutral hue? I feel like your lighting would benefit from it in a few cases which aren't meant to be warmly lit.

So that's how you did the cauldron. That was an excellent video.
awesome!
Man I think "How does he do this?", then I realize it's the most simplest thing to do. That's why I love your films.

Thanks. Very informative.
Epic shirt!!!!
YAY! Age of Ultron trailer coming soon!
Nice vid! You just keep getting innovative! I would love to see the Avengers teailer in Lego and the little bit you've shown on the end looks amazing! By the way, are there going to be more Harry Potter videos any tims soon?
That was quite informative. Can't wait for that Avengers video though.
Great Video !! You make it seem so easy !! Would you say that the types of lighting you use is what contributes to the final video quality we see ? LED lighting only ? Please do a video on After Effects ....I'm sure it will be Awesome !!
More excited for tht ultron trailer you made than for the movie lol
Avengers age of ultron trailer nice
First of all, want to say I love all of your videos. Secondly, where do you get your LED lights?
Hey Brotherhood Workshop! I've just got a PC and I'm going to be using it for my BrickFilms. I was just wondering if you knew any good free green screen/special effects software. I'm going to download the trial for After Effects to see how I go, but if it don't buy it, I would like a free alternative to it. By the way, your BrickFilms keep getting better and better!
Wow cant wait to see that avenger video :)
Where do you get your LEDs from?

Hi BrotherhoodWorkshop! I am trying to improve the lighting in my videos and this video helped me a lot. I currently use 2 desk lamps and a small piece of paper to bounce light as my lighting set up, but I sometimes get shadows in the top corner of my scene. Do you recommend using a three point lighting set-up? And another question, what lightbulbs do you recommend I use? I currently use energy-saver Cool White lightbulbs, but are there better ones out there?
Dude seriously..Can i work with you in the future when I finish my high school? hahaha..oh..and..OMG IS THAT A PREVIEW OF AVENGERS TRAILER IN LEGO?YOURE MAKING IT?!! OMG!!!*died on nerdgasm*
Nice War In The North shirt, i didn't know they had those
Your a genius!
Genius.
i hope to be well equiped one day to make awesome videos like yours.
Thank you for posting the behind the scenes, when are you approximately thinking on releasing the Death Star battle you recorded? And can you do a detailed tutorial of lighting position?
@BrotherhoodWorkshop

Probably releasing it in February. And honestly, as to lighting position, I just mess with it till it looks good.
@COMMANDERFOX31

Yes that is definitely a good method. Do you support the use of the "1,2,3" method? (keylight (100%), back light (50%) and side light (25%-30%))?
@BrotherhoodWorkshop
9 жыл бұрын
In theory yes. In practice, do whatever looks cool :)
Dear Brotherhood workshop, I am an animated as well, and this video helped me a lot :) but for lighting I only have 1 lamp, do you have any suggestions on how to amplify its intensity?
I was wondering if you would do anything funny about the death of Thorin in the battle of the five armies because the way that he dies it's so ridiculous!! Great video too!
I love seeing stuff falling over or down while you're filming... You must have one heck of a lot patience. RESPECT But just between me and you: are you freaking out sometimes, too? ;)
You're doing great with all the stop motion animation! I'm creating a stop motion videos too, and I have a question. How do you connect your camera to your laptop(that you can take pictures instantly on dragonframe)? My camera is SAMSUNG nx3000, so, is it even possible to connect that kind of a camera?
Will you check out my bigrickmachine 2015, I used a couple of your After Effect tips in it, thanks :)
you always have good background buildings, or the inside of buildings. where do you get the bricks? do you use houses of some sort that are prebuilt, or just making them, if you do make them, do you buy extra bricks?
I saw you in a lego brick film documentary!
Yes finally thank you thank you thank you

Dude this is awesome! I was wondering, how do you get part of a movie into your videos (like at 1:13 with Han and Chewie) without worrying about copyright issues? Anyone please respond...
What’s the video editing software on your pc
Cool BTS! Do you know any cheaper and nearly as good alternatives to after effects?
