Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near -Isaiah 55:6 A number of years ago, I read a story about a man who set up a nativity scene on his front lawn, but some vandals came along and stole the baby Jesus. The man was quoted as saying, “They’ve taken my Jesus, and I don’t know where he is.” I thought, “Sir, those people did not take your Jesus. They took a plastic figure, probably with a light bulb inside, that’s a representation of Jesus. But that wasn’t Jesus.” We can’t lose Jesus, but sometimes people lose sight of the real Jesus, especially during the Christmas season. Of course, we have responsibilities, families, and things we need to do, but let’s find ways to share the real message of Christmas. It’s easy to transition a conversation to what the Christmas season is really about: the birth of Jesus Christ. Let’s not allow the busyness of the season to crowd Jesus out of our lives. We need to slow down, listen to the Lord, and stay in close fellowship with Him. Even if you’ve been so busy that you haven’t paid as much attention to Him as you should, He’s patiently waiting for you to return. Jesus walked in our shoes, breathed our air, died our death, and rose from the dead. Is Jesus Christ living inside you? If not, I hope you’ll soon believe in Him. He wants to forgive all your sins. He wants to be the Lord of your life, not just at Christmastime but every day of the year. He’s an everyday Jesus, and He’s here for you right now. Jesus, who was born in Bethlehem, died on the cross, and rose from the dead, is standing at the door of your life and knocking. If you’re not sure that he’s living inside you, will you open the door and ask Him to come in?

Please make videos about clauses (adverb clause, noun clause, adjective clause) Thank you sooooo much C2 noun 1. Awe (a feeling of great respect sometimes mixed with fear or surprise) 2. Bureaucracy (complicated rules or processes used by an organization, especially when they do not seem necessary) [negative connotation] 3. Frenzy (uncontrolled and excited behavior or emotion that is sometimes violent) 4. Cliche (a saying or remark that is very often made and is therefore not original and not interesting) 5. Paradigm (a model of something, or a very clear and typical example of something) 6. Momentum (the force that keeps an object moving, or an event developing or making progress) 7. Morale (the amount of confidence felt by a person or group of people, especially when in a dangerous or difficult situation) [to raise morale, to boost morale, to bring up morale] 8. Withdrawal (when you take money out a bank account) 9. Deterrent (something that stops people doing something because they are afraid of what may happen) [strong deterrent, nuclear deterrent, effective deterrent] 10. Ambiguity (a situation or statement that is unclear and may have more than one possible meaning and therefore possibly causing confusion) 11. Diarrhea (an illness in which your solid waste is more liquid than usual and comes out of your body more often) 12. Whereabouts (the place where a person or thing is)

Thank you a lot! I'm always in awe of your priceless lessons. In order to avoid ambiguity for 'priceless' it doesn't drive me to frenzy sounding cliché if I declare that you kinda boost my morale when I struggle at English. Hope you keep being a "deterrent" of momentum withdrawal to someone's English learning process! And as far as I'm aware, despite of people's whereabouts, nobody likes diarrhea or bureaucracy paradigm, so that's why let's keep these two far away from the process.

i've taken the ielts a week ago. definitely gave me a confidence boost to know i am CEFR C1 level. i really thought i flunked the speaking subtest cause i started stuttering at the end since i was anxious during the 3rd part topic about politics. i wasn't sure what to say however i comforted myself whenever i feel intimidated with the questions being thrown at me. i don't need to have an answer that the examiner agrees with rather i should focus how i express and deliver my thoughts clearly that they can comprehend. i continued the conversation like talking to a colleague and got a speaking score of 8. gotta study harder and try to be a C2 level 🙏👍

English language is so interesting thing because some words are so obvious for me, but I find them on C2 level. Sometimes I hear a word and realize that I don’t know it, but it is considered as b1 level by linguists 😅

I decided I have to do this lesson with no help. My wife had surgery and still too sick to stay awake. She told her doctor she reacts bad against codeine but he gave it to her anyway. She is been very sick for days. What's a connotation? Vicki likes the phrase "Andere Mütter haben schöne Töchter." It means the same as "there are other fish in the sea," I said. "I disagree," she said. One compares people with people. The other thinks you're going out with fish." She makes me laugh. from Gustav

Hope Vicki is doing better. The word 'connotation' refers to the meaning associated with a word or phrase. Often people talk about words as having either positive or negative connotation. So a word like 'confident' has a positive connotation while a world like 'childish' has a negative one. 👍
