The word for water in spoken Palestinian/Jordanian Arabic is “mayy” as pronounced in the video. The word in formal Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) is “maa’” ماءor “miyaah” مياه .
For “food” you can also say “akil” (in dialect) or “ta’aam” طعام in MSA (Modern Standard Arabic) but the word used in the video is more of “food”/ “nutrition” in the context that we are discussing.
