Surprisingly i did almost half of these but yeah, the consistency is the key. And i agree if the meditation one put on the first which is interpret as the most important, and i really agree with that. That i do yoga and enjoy it, but when i got problem about the busyness and skipped my yoga for two weeks, i felt stress out with my daily. I mean that's how I think yoga can help us decrease our stress.

Moving the camera/lights/tripod to so many different places, creating such a time consuming intro, making beautiful graphics. I don’t think people understand how much time Jen spends on every video, when she could just do a simple sit-down and finish it in 40 minutes. This is an insane amount of filming hours, and I really appreciate it as a viewer. Since clothes encounters Jen’s videos were top notch, and she kept the standards high ever since. Congratulations on your really hard work Jen ❤

Bullet journaling changed my life!! Mine is less about tracking tasks and more about mental health. I write down my moods, "celebrations" (things I'm proud of), lessons from therapy, things to do & see in my city, and check in each week with a small diary entry. It helps you to actually accomplish what you want to do while staying present and positive, rather than constantly striving for goals and perfection.

I’m in the same boat! It’s kind of crazy because in comparison to who I was 5 years ago, I’ve got a lot figured out. But every day, there are new questions and things I’m learning and having to make decisions on. Even with the bedsheets Jen is talking about 😂 something that I feel like would be a good investment is nice bedsheets, buuut I keep flipping back and forth.

This video couldn't be so ON POINT. I love everything that Jenn mentioned here cause I can truly resonate with EVERYTHING!! I'm getting teary-eyed just by watching this because I feel so out of touch with myself and out of balance recently. This video has reminded me time and time again of these little things I can do to nourish, love and take care of myself. Physically, mentally and emotionally. I'm officially getting into my 30s this year, and all of these things I can resonate big time. Thanks so much Jenn for being a HUGEEE inspiration to many. Please keep doing more of these adulting hack content, it's honestly a lifesaver!

Jenn, I've watched you since you started. We're the same age and I too was a college student on a budget who simply wanted to be stylish. Your videos during clothes encounters were my weekly faves to watch. Took a break from KZread but during the pandemic, seeing your transformation into a maturing adulthood has brought me a similar feeling of back when I watched you: companionship. It feels like we're all progressing and maturing together and I appreciate all your nicely organized Virgo brain sharing your own methods and journey. Just wanted to leave an appreciation!

Jenn, thank you! ❤️ This Video made me emotional. I am 25 and adulting is hard sometimes, but you reminded me that it's okay to do things at your own pace. Life is not a race. I started a challenge where I stretch everyday for 10 minutes because I have realised how the lack of movement and stretching has affected my ability to focus for a long period of time when I study. I am only on day two but my muscles ache already. This means I really need to continue with the challenge. It also distresses my mind.

You are influencing me in ways I actually want to be influenced. Thank you! 🙇‍♀ Just sharing a habit that I've probably been doing for several years now, and that's to recap your day. Personally, recapping it with my significant other has helped a ton. It feels a bit like therapy when you look at your day in hindsight. You're able to find pockets of gratitude and moments that you, admittedly, could have reacted/done better. I'm blessed to have someone I can share this with, but I do think recapping it in writing or even in your mind before you sleep could be helpful too. And when I say recap, I mean, share all the details you want. Even the ones that seem "insignificant"- like the snack you ate, the outfit you wore, the sky you saw, etc. ❤

A lot of these have helped me too! 💛 I love how clearly and helpfully you explained them, it makes me feel so much more motivated haha. Another little thing that has helped me is to, sometimes, do nothing else while I'm eating. I find it tempting to watch videos or read, scroll, or listen to music while eating, but doing nothing else but eat every now and then helps me to appreciate my food, touch base with myself, and break the cycle of constant digital or mental stimulation.

These are all really good tips! Not sure if this would be considered a habit but something that has helped my self doubt and anxiety as a mother is being proud of an accomplishment no matter how small it may be. For example, getting up when I’m tired and making a simple dinner for my family instead of eating out is a small accomplishment but I still try to feel proud of myself in those moments. I feel like those small boosts in self esteem help me accomplish other things in my life that I may have felt too overwhelmed to conquer.

Every single one of these I agree with whole-heartedly. In college I took some research courses that required readings/teachings on yoga and meditation. Through that I began to practice and saw the improvements first hand. It's now part of my everyday routine. I also journal, which really helps in moments of anger, anxiety and confusion. I am currently becoming more interested in reading, which I can relate to your commentary on - because in school, reading is an assignment and you almost never get to choose what you are reading. However it has now become a goal of mine to essentially keep learning and stay interested via reading. This is a great video, I really appreciate it.

The way you explained writing changed my perspective. I’ve tried journaling before and I never liked it because like you mentioned, I’d get frustrated from not being able to write as fast as my thoughts. I never thought about how it can be a good thing - that it allows me to slow down and reflect on myself and the situation I may be going through. Thanks Jenn, I think I’ll give journalling another try 🫶

You're so wholesome Jenn, I find myself laughing at your remarks and comments - remembering a lot of those insightful experiences and experimenting with those types of activities helped me with elevating my awareness/knowledge and health (and deep depression) despite being a guy, I found that the norm was to run away from your feelings and avoid these types of activities all together as they are "feminine" traits but I found it to be enduring and nurturing, which I think it's vital to growth - I find it a refreshing reminder that being genuine, authentic, and wholesome/down to earth has been one of my values in life I forgot to cultivate, and I think a lot of the things you listed are things that have helped me become a better version of myself 100%. All really great reminders/recommendations!

I do like the soft version of these.😂 Meditating when I remember, stretch if I remember, journal as well. I get so caught up in the daily routine that making time for these helpful habits seems inconvenient. But really it’s incredibly helpful and great for my body😂that’s the thought that keeps me coming back to them. I do things all day, to meet a deadline, check something off a list, or help someone out, I tend to put myself on the back burner. Someone said to me recently, “why do you matter less than anyone else? Put yourself first”. I tell myself that and remind myself that it is important to take the time in the day to focus on these good habits and help myself out. I love your editing style Jenn! Your videos always put a smile on my face 😘

This video was much needed!! I always love the videos about experiences in growing up/adulting and how Jenn reflects on them. One small thing bothered me though.. Even though I know that sleep is a priority, I wish Jenn would have shared more tips on how to prepare for a regular sleep schedule like for all the other habits. I don't mind the sponsored part, it was just a bit long compared to the complete portion of the video. And nice sheets are only an extra or a small luxury, I wish Jenn would have prioritized her experiences on how to implement a healthy sleeping routine as well ❤❤❤

I have to say I clicked on this video randomly had never seen your channel before and I really enjoyed it. While ive heard all of these habits before and practiced them myself on and off throughout the years, your videography and the way you explain them on such a human level with your own insight instead of just quoting facts and in a sense putting yourself in a glorified position (like ive seen others do) cause you practiced them, made this video such a safe and inspiring space. Thank you for that.

To deal with anxiety I have to center myself with counter phrases : grounding myself in remembering at the end of the day as long as my loved ones and myself are healthy and happy in the present, the thing I am worrying about is smaller in comparison. Love these!! I do earthing/ grounding daily and it has the same effect as meditation. It also reduces inflammation in the body and makes you overall healthier. I noticed my personality has changed from it, I don’t care what people think, I don’t worry about much at all and I so much happier. Earthing is just touching your bare-feet to the grass or using an earthing mat, blanket or even shoes to ground yourself as much as possible throughout the day. I would highly recommend, it’s like being in a calm state and connected to the earth all the time like humans were designed to be. Shoes keep us from connecting so that is why everyone has adrenal fatigue and all kinds of health issues caused by inflammation.

Jenn, I resonate with your point of view in regards to reading! I am currently in college and love reading but cannot pick up a book for the life of me because I am drowning with assigned readings, textbooks, etc. But summer is approaching; we'll see how I fair! Adulting wise, habits that have changed my life and have helped me tackle emotions and personal growth include daily exercise, ones that really make you sweat. My husband and I enjoy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is a physical chess game. It blows my mind, how often we will go over a topic that I have already learned and retained but I will notice and new, small detail that changes everything for that position. Other habits include, weekly cleaning and regularly washing the laundry when the hamper becomes full instead of waiting for the end of the week. There's more, but this is already a novel... so I'll spare some details.

I would say that my adulting habit is to try to not procrastinate. As i grow, i encounter lots of different situations that I'm not familiar with, and it can make me want to avoid them 😅 So I try to force myself to tacle every new thing right away, so that I can feel more confident afterwards and learn. It's also something I apply in my everyday life around the house, because as time goes, I find that it is really precious so I want to spend as much time as I can doing things I love and enjoying myself. I can't do that if I have a pile of undone chores that I need to take care of... I understood that I'd rather spend 10 minutes a day doing things that are not fun but need to be done, and then do something else, than let them accumulate and finally ruin a day that could have been spent differently 😊

One of the main changes I made when I became an adult was becoming an organized person. It’s too general, yes, but it’s really important. I like to keep track of everything in a diary, making lists of what I have to do, setting goals etc; I always write everything down. Literally, write down anything that goes through your head, because otherwise you’re going to forget even though you fool yourself and think otherwise. Another thing that is really important to me is to be digitally organized. Like, keeping every picture and document in the right folder, not having everything scattered around your computer or phone, and truthfully, that’s really gonna make your life easier.
