Hi Karen!💖 I am retired, I should not be busy lol...I got my Albrecht Durers out and started to swatched them, I forgot how a beautiful they really are, and they just melt at the touch of water, lol. Such a pleasure to play with, not to mention the gorgeous colors! I hope you do another picture with them soon! This book is one of the darkest greyscale books there are, but your picture is a testament to how beautiful these are, especially with the Polychromos over the top of their matching paints! So happy to see you use the FC Albrecht Durers. Oh and I have been searching for this book relentlessly ever since I saw you coloring in it. Finally found a little store in North Carolina that had it! It should be here this week. You are quite the inabler. ❤️ Beautiful job and colors on this little mouse.

Wonderful and beautiful illustrating. Thank you for showing the water colour technique with colouring pencils. I have just started using this method a bit more as I am still learning the finer points of colouring. Do you use it often, and also why?? and what do others do? Is it because the water colour makes the colour more intense once you then add pencils? Whatever the reason, I just love the final look. Love watching you colour, always so relaxing for me.

Thank you so much 😀 I will use the water color for a base color to help cover any white that might show with just the pencils alone, I will also use inks the same way, just when I feel like it... lol

Yes the plastic I use has a smooth side and a ruff side, I use the ruff side for the pencils.

You need to get a little heat gun to dry your paper. You are amazing!

This is absolutely beautiful - I love the way it turned out. Sadly the book seems to be out of print in UK, with only one or two used copies at inflated prices available. I hope it comes back.
