As long as it's not made official it's absolutly speculation. But reporting on the rumors and noise in the paddock is... reporting... They have access to people that are in the know... My guess is he just retires from the sport as well. 25 car is already designed most likely and he’s probably mentored Pierre Wache and all of the Redbull engineers that they’ll be fine without him for 26 on the Chassis side of things.

If Adrian does not retire, it might just come down to where does he prefer to live. He can basically choose any team he wants to on the grid, he wants to have the right influence on the team and he also wants to live in the right place for himself. Thinking about his yacht, that could be a factor I’m sure he could find a nice birth on the Italian Adriatic coast that wouldn’t take long to get to in a helicopter . And it would make for very pleasant sailing .

Wouldn't surprise me if Jos was the one spreading rumors in order to incite disruption. He's losing his grasp on controlling his son & after that he's no longer useful & he'll do anything even destroy his son's career in order to stay revenant !

Wherever he ends up I suspect he’ll want to push for a free hand to design exotic road cars for whoever he works for (Gordon Murray comes to mind). Aston Martin or Ferrari are obvious candidates but who knows if Mercedes, Audi or another manufacturer may throw their hat in the ring. He may even ditch F1 altogether for WEC, either way whatever he decides to do the guy and key members of his wider design team (if they choose to follow him), won’t be short of offers.

Verstappen will never join Alonso in the same team. Man always wants an easy team mate. That is why he tried so hard kicking Ricciardo out of the team and blocking Hamilton from joining last winter break.

Ferrari is certainly a favorite spot to go to. But I wouldn’t sleep on Aston Martin. They are doing a massive investment for upcoming years with the Aramco partnership and Honda(the engine he has worked with for the last 5 years). The new factory in Silverstone would be incredibly close to his usual whereabouts. It could also be an option that he decides to retire. Despite all this, it wouldn’t be until mid 2027 that you could see the effect of his genius into the car

To move to Ferrari for Newey should be no brainer. At Ferrari he could have a say in multiple and prestige racing categories.
