To me, the rb6 has to be one of the greatest and fastest f1 cars of all time. I mean, I know there have been other dominating and great cars like the lotus 78 and williams fw14b, but considering how restricted the rules that were in place in 2010, redbull exploited every possible means to make their car as fast as possible. The regulations in place for 2010 were designed to restrict downforce and slow the cars down. You would expect the smoother bodywork, which began in 2009, along with thinner front tires compared to 09, and engine development freeze to slow down the cars, but instead newey and redbull created one of the fastest cars of all time. Their brilliant use of double diffuser, blown exhaust and engine mapping to create downforce and maintain stability while off throttle was incredible and perfected in this car. Of course mclarens f-duct was also utilized to improve top speed. I also love how compact, light, and agile the rb6 was compared to todays cars. Yes, todays 2017 cars of ferrari and mercedes are faster, but the new regulations were designed to make cars faster. The rb6 will go down as one of the all time greats.

I saw the Leyton House March 881s in 1988, at Detroit. Unfortunately, only one of them entered the Grand Prix on Sunday, since Ivan Capelli broke one of his feet when he crashed in Saturday practice. I wish I could say that I remember them, but they were so overshadowed by the McLarens of Prost and Ayrton, and the Ferraris, Benettons and Williams of the day. We didn't realize at the time that Newey's cars would make F1 history. I wish I'd had the foresight to try and track him down for a pic and autograph before he blew up F1.

Still,,one of the best produced. Excellent vid. Maybe you guys could revisit another set??. I know Adrian wouldn't mind. I remember seeing the Leyton House car on the Telly and really liked the paint,,,many years ago.
"Slow down".....nah I'll do what the hell I like with the car I designed thanks very much!

That Leyton House car is seriously beautiful :)

The 2010 Red Bull was quick but also stupidly unreliable. Vettel had 3 mechanical failures from the lead
Nice to see the Artist using his work
Amazing and beautiful. I wish I could drive one of those things.
Newey is a genius! Unforgettable moment for him
hard to beleive that Adian's first car was the Leyton House one. Brings back momories...
I worked for F1 team that Adrian worked for as well back in late 80s .
Beautiful that designer and creation become one.
This man is my inspiration and my idol
Who comes here after Adrian announced his departure 🥹
Nice down to earth chap, met him many years ago when he was at McLaren.
I just love the „old“ colors of the Redbull😍😍
That is one amazing experiance 👍
I just finished reading his Biography "How to Build a Car". He is incredibly talented. So, buy this book!
I still love that LH color.
wow, that Leyton House has amazing colours and looks, amazing comparison
that was cool! i would've liked to seen that live
Adrian owns his own F1 car. He was given his own RB5 for all his work at Red Bull and his F1 car can sometimes be seen driven at Goodwood.
4:30 this feels much more alien. I think the same about you. Absolute genius.
Driving the car which you designed is invaluable!
That exact Leyton House just sold at auction a few days ago. $3.5 Million I think was the final number. If you've got the money that's the way to do it. Forget Corsa Clienti, if I'm buying a F1 car I want to be able to park it in my own garage.
It's crazy looking at the Leyton House and seeing how similar the front end looks to 2024 F1 cars
Newey you brilliant man. Well done.
i would have liked to see a real interview with Adrian afterward, rather than only a few words
Newey... What a LEGEND!!!
Epic. I love this. :)
"Were you flat through woodcut?" *smiling like a child* dude...
Beautiful
A true legend
This video was brilliant. I knew Newey has history as a driver in other motorsport championships (Ginetta etc) but to get your hands on a modern F1 car must be something else. How amazing also that the creator and chief imagineer never had a chance, before this video, to actually get in and drive one of his championship winning creations. Bet he was quietly chuffed to pieces.
Simply Awesome
Adrian Newey is a LEGEND
The father spending quality time with his children.
Those rear wheels. Wowza.
Legend :-)
O Criador e cria. Mto bom
This is why I back Redbull
I saw the Leyton House March 881s in 1988, at Detroit. Unfortunately, only one of them entered the Grand Prix on Sunday, since Ivan Capelli broke one of his feet when he crashed in Saturday practice. I wish I could say that I remember them, but they were so overshadowed by the McLarens of Prost and Ayrton, and the Ferraris, Benettons and Williams of the day. We didn't realize at the time that Newey's cars would make F1 history. I wish I'd had the foresight to try and track him down for a pic and autograph before he blew up F1.
Brilliant!
Newey is truly a remarkable individual
I love the cars from the 80s and 90s much more than the modern cars
"Adrian, This is from DC. The team principle wants you to slow down." LOL
awesome!!!!!!!!!
Now I hope he is going to build even better RB's :D
real men drove these, hahaha i love AN, hes humble yet outspoken all at once. humble about himself yet outspoken about his opinion. proper bloke as his mates would say and i love the mention of space in the cockpit, hahaha his drivers always bitched about that through the years. then the end flat through woodcut, christians voice cracks when he says oh god. what a great video. thanks for sharing this.
Glad he didnt hold back, opportunities like that would be few and far between for him. Great show!
Would Adrian and DC do this again??, ,. Really like this one.
What a legend..
Wasn't he talking about this in the first few pages of his book?
Nothing beats the feeling of driving your own designed car
Dr. Newey's a badass.
Can't decide which one I'd rather drive!
I want to see Adrian Newey driving the RB18
Making the Adrian's proud
it looks somehow unreal to see a red bull helmet in a leyton house car! :D
Its a shame a lot of the f1 fans dont know that Adrian Newey, along with the likes of Toto Wolf and most of the current team managers actually were serious race drivers and brought that into f1

@@littletweeter1327 2007. 25 years after Newey started his engineering career in motorsports. Yeah no, he wasn't a racing driver. Just because you raced in some events doesn't make you a racing driver.
0:28 Does anyone know who owns that green and gold helmet, or even the car? looks beautiful cause it looks Irish. 😁🙏🏼
What is the artwork hanging in his office?? I want it too.
Rb5 with an rb7 engine cover. A lot of f1 cars are adaptable to old parts. Red bull ran the 2005 rb1 with rb5 and 6 parts as a show car for years.
Adrian Newey magico da aerodinamica !
Impressive
they should do this again with RB19 included!
Lovely
Petition to make Newey drive the RB19
