I played this tune once in a very noisy cafe at an open mic and within 1 minute of the opening lines the entire venue went silent. That's the power of this piece.

Adrian has saved my life at times when I needed a haven. I've listened to these songs literally hundreds of times. I love it soulfully. When I'm alone and sad and hurt, I go to Adrian and find some peace late at night in the dark. I don't know what it is only that it's just right for me. Thank you Adrian for being alive. You don't even know!!

Back in the late 80's, I was fortunate enough to see Adrian a number of times in the UK. At the time I was working in a music shop and Adrian used to demo Ovation Guitars for Rose Morris (a UK musical instrument distributor). He was always completely charming, funny, self-deprecating and a joy to chat to. Then there was his playing ability and song writing skills!

i remember seeing legg live in madrid, opening for satriani. nobody knew him and nobody knew what to expect. then this serene-looking man walks onto the stage, starts playing while changing the tuning on his guitar, and blew us away. it was really special, he filled the room with magic and he transmitted his good nature through his playing and presence. shame i didn't get to meet him after the show.

Love this man! Have seen him twice in Minn. Incredible, wonderful human being. Adrian if you see this thank you. Thank you for this song. I dedicate it to my own Irish Girl. Her name is Amy and she is everything beautiful to me... She makes me the strongest man alive if I should have to defend her, the softest man when I touch her... I would so love to hear it live with her and you playing it! I hope you come back to Mn soon.... Thank you Adrian for your music.

Adrian Legg is one of the few players I would consider to be a great musician as well as a great guitarist...and he IS a totally cool dude. I met him after a concert in Dallas a couple of years ago...not sure when the next album comes out, or what will be on it...but I will have to be one of the first. I will continue my distant study under him likely for the rest of my life....the Genius Legg

Those discordant notes are precious.......! I'm so thankful to have seen Adrian Legg open for G3 at the Snitcher concert hall in Portland OR back in the 1990's. I had never even heard of him, but he stole the show from Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, and Joe Satrinai... After Adrian played, his playing was SO beautiful, that I couldn't stand to listen to the rest of them. Eric Johnson came on next, and played way too loud. Adrian of course knew exactly how loud to play on his Ovation acoustic. The electric guys who came on after him forgot it was a CONCERT HALL designed for good acoustics, so they played WAY too loudly. Even so, I'll never forget Adrian Legg that night, and I've loved his musicianship ever since. He is a musical genius, with few peers......

Which discordant notes? Would you mean notes that are not in the normal musical scale he is playing in? I would venture to guess you might be thinking of those. Chromatic tones vs. diatonic tones are very common in complex harmony. They bring richness to otherwise "expected" harmonic movement in a piece. I absolutely LOVE their sound! ♥

Writing about music is like dancing about architecture. I just want to say that this man's music makes me really emotional, & there's something sort of superhuman about the way he plays guitar.

Simply beautiful! I saw him perform at Mars Music (remember them??) in Dallas circa 1991. He presented a clinic / master class. And he blew me away. So musical, and with so much restraint. Easily, he has chops along the line of Tommy Emanual (sp?) and Leo Kottke, but he doesn't flash them. He doesn't have to. It is all about the music, not about technical prowess. Bravo!

If you truly read through your comments, Adrian, I'd be enthralled to hear of any comments you have on your music at this time. When I revisited this song years and years later it took me ages to find it as you'd changed your name to Legg. For what it's worth I prefered Love but its a beautiful piece whatever.

+Bruno Reinaudi you need to get out more my friend. It is unfortunate we live in a world as we do , but I live in a place where I can throw a rock and hit 3 guitarist that will take this guy to the cleaners. Thats the truth of the matter. And I am speaking of "Fingerstyle" players. the industry is 99.99 percent hype . I would call this guy good, but I certainly would not call him an innovative fingerstyle player. But I do live in Nashville.
