6/8/24: To jazz mine up, I print out pictures I like from Pinterest, like old magazine covers of celebrities from back in the day (Vanity Fair, In-Style, Vogue, Bazaar, and even Playboy! - for my guy friends who like that stuff, LOL!), and some current celebrities too. They actually wind up looking like mini magazines when done and they're definitely a conversation piece! I've even used personalized pictures of people I know (singles, couples, kids, family photos w/the dog, etc.) that I download in my computer and print out. And for kids, I print their favorite cartoon characters (Disney), or singing person/group, etc. (also from Pinterest). I size and cut them at 4.4" (height) by 3.15 (width) and glue them to the front cover w/2-sided tape around the edges of the pic and then Art Glitter glue all around it and in the middle. (We know how important it is to glue them down tight.) I then glue decorative papers to the back cover of the book and inside covers with the same method. If there's any paper overage, I cut it very close to the cover and then use a color coordinated marker to color the edges all the way around. I love your technique and the way yours came out. It’s really pretty. The only thing I'd do different is, where your black spine strip shows on the left side of the top front cover near your decorative paper, that's where I'd add a strip of bling, top to bottom to give it some pop! I have two rolls of it in black and white that I got from Amazon, and I use them religiously. So, from one crafter to another, it's an idea I thought I'd share, and no matter which way we doll them up, they come out looking SO nice. Thanks for sharing yours. It was fun to watch! ♥

I've made some in the past for gifts. I just purchased a bunch of them to make gratitude journals for my Sunday School class for Christmas. They will be calendars using mini monthly calendar pages for the dividers, and OT and NT scripture on gratitude for each month and I have month tab stickers coming. I can't wait to get them as a finishing touch for the mini gratitude calendars. Thanks for this tutorial, I love it. Food Diary for me may be the next one! Blessings

Yes I have. I've made several as grateful journals and given them as gifts. Others I let the receivers do whatever with them. Cute as a button.

Really cute!! These composition notebooks also come in a slightly larger 5”x7” size, so still portable, but more writing space. The only bummer is that most of them now have poly (plastic) covers, which probably makes adhering craft paper difficult. Sometimes you can get lucky and find them with cardstock covers, but they’re rare. Studio C used to make them, but I think they discontinued them.

I love them. I used them in my micro traveler’s notebook to keep up with errands. But now I use a standard wide and keep things in there. I have also used one as a mini junk journal and glue book; so much fun!

Cute setup! 😍 I Loooove composition notebooks, regular and mini sized. I have used both for years. The especially like the mini. I have a chunky passport Faith TN that I use them in as well as journaling, braindump, planning, book notes, etc. Thanks for sharing! ❤️❤️❤️

We can't get composition notebooks (any size) here in the UK for some reason, but I love small notebooks and welcome any ideas you have for themes. I have a stash of notebooks of all sizes and would love your ideas on how to use them.
