I've always read that muslims aren't allowed to adopt a child.. And it made me so sad and i cried so hard because I couldn't understand why Allah should forbid something like that. I always wanted to adopt an orphan or even 2 or 3.. I just love children so much they mean everything to me. Thank you so much for this video. May Allah bless you.

Peri no, adoption itself isn't recommended. Fostering children is definitely recommended! They must keep their family names and their careers are to keep money for the children and not take from their accounts. E.g. Don't use child benefit for you're own means. Love children but make it known you are a career and a foster parent. But you did not bear them.

Glenys Wiseman I'm actually not Muslim. I'm pagan. And since you're clearly kaafir. (An unbeliever) why are you watching this?? Why are you so hateful my dear?? Why does Islam repulse you?? It's a beautiful religion. You are to love children dearly and care for them. Look after them like you're own children. You just can't legally adopt them because they were blessed with their parents ancestry. It's not a punishment top not be adopted. In Islam children are never to be punished or mistreated for the crimes of their parents committed. Children are completely innocent. Please go to a local mosque and learn about Islam. It won't seem to so horrible and you'll speak to real Muslims who can tell you the truth and show where their sources are from the Quran.

If the adopted children would keep their names and don't call the parents father/mother it would be allowed theoretical. But you need to understand, that adopted children are NOT mahram. This means, the wife would need to wear hijab 24/7, if you would have an daughter, she wouldn't be allowed to play with the adopted kid (if they are mature) and so on. Adoption isn't just a game. A man couldn't touch his adopted girl and a wife couldn't touch her adopted boy.

It's not the adopted children won't look at the family like their own, it's the family that doesn't look at them as one of their own.

What shocks me most is to read some of you write about adoption of children like you wish for a pet. Kids need real parents. They are not for show of. Its important to understand that children might have issues with them, these are issues you have to work with and treat with goodness and patience. They are not for giving back. If you wanna adopt, there is no way I ...even as a mother myself would ever do alone. A child deserves a natural environment when they are adopted...because they might be harder to handle due to mistreatment before...and they should grow up with two parents. this gives them the stability they need. And dont call single parenting natural or as healthy as duo parenting, cause what about when you fall in love....then what? Can you trust the person you meet? Will the person understand that childs extra needs. Cause THEY DO have exstra needs, nomatter how healthy they are. To even consider adopting alone or to "be nice" are both very selfish!

A lot of people say here that you can't adopt but as far as I understand you can take a child home and hive him shelter, good, love and financial help you just let them know that you aren't his/her biological parent. I have a adopted cousin. She was 8, 9 month when she was adopted. She grew up as their daughter and she has not blood related brothers in that family. When she was 9, 10 she learned that she is adopted.

Sha I believe the reason why it's so hard is because Muslims simply do not want to adopt. Their religions has really strict rules about adoption. They don't allow kids to call their adopted parents mom and dad, they force the adopted kids to not carry their surnames, they refuse to allow them to inherit wealth, etc. I've seen Muslims online and in person fully espouse this disgusting views and see absolutely nothing wrong in it. They live privileged lives and bicker about stupid things like how to clean your posterior and all that junk. But a true good deed like raising a non-blood related child as your own? They wouldn't do that even if you killed them. They would rather kill people than adopt them. A very very sad tale. You might as well give those kids to English, Irish or scottish parents instead of angry asians who refuse to see those kids as their own.

I personally think adopting became a personal and sensitive topic among the ummah because personally I never wanted to like get married and I loved kids so I thought I'd just adopt a baby you know, but my parents always forbade me from it. I did my research and you know it's also a lil difficult cos if you like say adopt a child that is like 7 or 8 or like above the age of where you cannot breastfeed them anymore they actually are your non mahrams and like you have to make pardah from them and it's not the best situation to be living alone with them even if you adopted them as a son and you are the mother. Again this was for my case specifically because I never wanted to marry. so I think it might be okay or different if your like a married couple and adopting a kid together, cos then like your husband is your mahram. Unless you've personally breastfed them you know, their not exactly mahrams. This is obviously with sons only so yep. BTW everyone might have different maslahs so check with yk the maslah of your area or whichever fiqh council you follow but this is the maslah that is preached in my little Muslim town 😊

It depends on the country's ruling, in my country you'd have to be married for a certain amount of time and then there's background checks and the grueling process of adoption that could take a year or two. Reasons being that they feared the child will be abused and used as a housekeeper or even worse a sex slave. Having the intention and going through the hurdles to adopt an orphan, only Allah can reward for the effort that you put in..whether or not you succeeded. May Allah grant you Jannah al Firdaus sister for having such a beautiful intention.

Karen Lin of course you can adopt. whether you married or no doesn't matter or shouldn't matter .if you want to never marry and just adopt then that is your choice go ahead and do it .just dont listen to those so called scholars who thinks they know everything and says adoption is haram or not encouraged. I trully believe that Allah wont have a problem with you adopting and taking care of a baby in need as your own. i was personally adopted by two beautiful Muslims couple who in that time had to go trough a lot of trouble bcz of people retarded mentality but didn't give up on me.i will also adopt that is one of my big goals.

Some countries you are not allowed to take care of children without legally adopting. Is it a sin if we adopt an orphan legally with all paper work? I intend to do that in Sha Allah. But, unfortunately without legal paper I cannot do it. So is it a sin?

I've got a question to ask, and I hope that inshallah someone can answer it for me. I want to adopt an orphan inshallah, but I've heard that you can't call it your child etc, and he/she must know their biological parents, but what if that child is a baby and doesn't know their biological parents, what if the parents' name is unknown, then what? Also I've heard that the child doesn't get share in property, as he/she isn't actually your child. Personally, I find this quite wrong. What if you have your own children, isn't that making that obvious that that orphan isn't your child, and you can't claim them as your child, so does that mean you have to tell both the child and the rest of the world that he/she isn't your child, which will emotionally upset the child especially at such a young age, it's like you keep on having to tell them that they'll never be part of your family.

I completely understand why in Islam it's not allowed to give the adopted child the name of the adoptee family and to keep the child's family name. But my question is how will this rule apply if the child is a few weeks old and nothing about their family is known? Then what do we do about it? I also know that Islamically, the woman can breastfeed the child if they are under 2 years and that child will become their Mehram but what about the name, if nothing is known about them?

Adoption is not allowed! Pedigree of the orphan and the islamic law of herritage are in danger, when muslims adopt in non-muslim countries due to law which is not based on sharia. Of course you can and should take care of orphans, when possible but this lecture leeds to haram. I am sorry to say that cause i have big respect for mister nouman ali khan.

Nimco Elixir Nouman Ali Khan is a daii' and not an aliim. Do you know the difference? Not everybody is able or even allowed to give fatwa and i got my knowledge from an aliim. As a student of knowledge it is not my duty to give evidence - i am not allowed to give fatwa - i am just passing on what i got to know from the people of knowledge. but it is allways your duty to check on what you hear or read and not just take, because someone gives you "evidence" from the quran. no matter if its my words or of our honourable brother nouman ali khan, and please read my words in the first comment carefully.
