    How do you imagine that after connecting circles and line you get a particular shape, nice logo but its not a tutorial it doesn't teach anything how to use these circles to create any other logo.

    You need to visualize it in your mind, if you are not familiar with it i think you should sketch on paper before design, design is creative :)

    Daniel Sparks he's laying out circles, that part is the tricky part, knowing where to lay them. then he's using the shape tool and the (I think it's called) slice tool.

    How he know where to lay the circles without guides is how he looses me. using the shape builder tool is pretty understandable. Its just confusing to watch him lay the circles without guides, he's kind of a shape genius really. LOL.

    What i think they do is that first they sketch the logo the normal way to get the final idea and then until they know exactly what the logo will look like they apply the golden ratio for the correct proportions.

    hi, i really like your method, great video, i just have one question, is there no easy way to get rid of those orphan anchor point, and get a clean vector ? or you just have to laboriously remove them one by one and keep adjusting the curves all the time ? because i really can't imagine myself pulling that without wasting a ridiculous amount of time.

    I'm having a lot of trouble with the shape builder tool. I'm doing 100% the exact same thing as every video but I get for every click tons of extra anchor points in my path. Besides that when I click some parts away (holding alt offcourse) the whole cirkel gets deleted. So, what are the common mistakes using this tool and how to solve them?

    Nice logo but not quite sure if you could call this a tutorial... Perhaps you should have sketched a rough DEER shape on a piece of paper and then bases on that you could have created your circle guidelines, then people would have grasp the entire thing right from the start I'm a graphic designer myself and I know these techniques but for beginners it's not that obvious what you're trying to achieve here my friend All the best and hope you follow what I said as a guideline for your next video tutorial Cheers

    Yes, the shape builder is pretty simple. The hard part is the one that nobody wants to explain: how to align the circles in a right way? How do you know the right position of lines and circles, to get the right pieces of deer? The answer is pretty simple: You must be able to sketch a deer design with some paper and pencil. Than you can fine tuning your design with some compass made circles. One you´ve done, pick a photo and import in illustrator. try a lots of times, and then try to memorize the main shape. That´s it. Aren´t you able to draw a deer with a pencil? Search for some similar photos, over the net, and import in AI. Put some golden ratio circles around the picture. Try to keep just the main parts, and delete the rest. Remove the background pictures, and use the shape builder to forge the shape.

    Value of golden ratio is so vague, now using parts of it's parts is some kind of magic. Nobody notices when it starts/stops to affect overall impact.

  • @cascafdasca6379
    @cascafdasca63797 жыл бұрын

    Did you know you wanted to make a deer logo before you started? My guess is that you place circles while telling yourself where lines can connect to create the shape of the mark you want. It takes practice to work like that, but I'd rather sketch my logo so I feel more confident.

    well you can make it your self. It's very simple I'm sure you can find someone on google who can explain it better than i can. But the basics are that you start of with a square 1 by 1 (doesn't matter which unit you use). Now copy that square and place it right beside it then make a square of 2 by 2 and place it aligning to the two squares before it. and repeat this as much as you want where the dimensions of the squares go as follows: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21.... And lastly the spiral follows the square edges and the circles have the same dimensions as the squares.
