Adjust a lens to infinity In Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 1:1.7 f=55mm (ver.2)

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Adjust Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 1:1.7 f=55mm to infinity is not that hard, just remember to set marks inside the focus ring at infinity, and also on the front of the brass helicoid.
It's your only backup when you want to re-store the lens back to normal

Ever wonder if those rubber grippers will mess with coatings?

Hey, I love your videos they help me alot. I was wondering if you know how to access the a aluminum Carl zeiss jena flektogon 35mm f2.8, a very early version, no screws to be seen. It's easy to clean the elements but I can't find a way to access the focus ring, because it does not focus to infinity which makes it hard to use as an wide angle lens, because you can't trust it to be sharp when it should be on infinity. Love from Germany!

Thanks Mike. Do you have an Industar 61 ? It has a notch in the helicoid and a pin on the barrel for the focus span. Fine tuning of infinity focus does not seem to be possible? Any ideas on whether infinity position should be accurate on these old lenses ? Mine focusses past infinity. Thanks

Does this change how close the lens will focus?

Great video thank you..! Is the process the same for other similar Rokkors like the MC Rokkor-PF 58mm f1.4 (Ver 2)?

Thanks, I have made another video about the 58mm 1:1.4 and how I re-grease the focus helicoids, in that video you can also see how the focus ring is sitting: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mqyFys-Kj7GumLA.html
