Introducing the adidas Boston 12, the latest addition to the adidas running shoe lineup. In this video, we dive deep into the features and performance of this highly anticipated shoe. The Boston 12 combines the best of both worlds, offering versatility and speed in one package.
With its newly redesigned midsole featuring Lightstrike 2.0 and additional Lightstrike Pro in the forefoot, the Boston 12 delivers a more responsive and energetic ride. Whether you're running at slower paces or pushing the limits of your speed, this shoe adapts to your needs, providing a comfortable and natural feel.
The full-length carbon rods in the midsole offer enhanced stability and a propulsive sensation, similar to last year's popular model. The updated upper, with fewer overlays, not only contributes to the sleek and stylish look of the shoe but also provides breathability and a race-like fit.
While the Boston 12 excels in performance, adidas offers a diverse Adizero lineup to suit different preferences. If you prefer a more traditional lightweight daily trainer, the Adizero SL might be the perfect choice. For shorter races, the speedy Takumi Sen is ideal, while the marathon scene is dominated by the Adios Pro.
In conclusion, the adidas Boston 12 is a versatile and high-performing running shoe that has found its stride. Its combination of comfort, responsiveness, and sleek design makes it a top contender in the running shoe market. So lace up, hit the road, and experience the best of adidas running with the Boston 12!

    I have run in every iteration of the Boston since its inception. When Boost came out it was a game changer! When the 10 and 11 came out I could never get used to the firmness and clunkiness of the midsole. I eventually switched to the Adios Pro 2 and 3 for all my speed/tempo sessions and the LS Pro delivered the cushioning I needed. Im excited to maybe have my Bostons back now that LS 2.0 is supposedly softer. Thanks for the review.

    Hello! First of all, thank you for your sincere Boston 12 review! I'd like to ask you if the Boston 12 model is suitable for overweight novice runners who watch out for their knees.

  • @RunningXpert

    @RunningXpert

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey, What is most important when it comes to protecting your knees is the amount of running you do, and not what shoe you have. In general, people who are used to running in firmer shoes can have knee pains if they run in softer shoes, and vise versa. The deciding factor is the load you put on your body, and what your body is used to. So, yes, the Boston 12 would be a great shoe if you want to have fun running, just be sure to ease into the shoe and not overdo it and you should be fine. A thing that has a bigger impact on what load you put where, is the length of your steps. If you run with a higher cadence with shorter steps, you land less on your heels, and will move the load off your knees and towards the ankle and calf. The total load is still the same, so you should still not overdo it, as you would then just get achilles pains instead of knee pains. I hope this helps. Lars

    Hey Enoch. I haven’t had any issues with sizing in either models. I am used to a bit more space around the toes, and I’m the only one at the office that has tried one so far, so I can’t get you a definite answer there sadly. Lars

    My Boston 11 was in the same size I always go with Adidas Adizero shoes : 8.5 US . Worked and fit sicely ,no problem with my normal small size feet. The Only shoes from Adidas that I could have gone half size up , was the Ultraboost Light. Super snug upper, much more then any Adizero or the older Ultraboost 22. So the Ultraboost Light could work well half size up. And I can't wait to try the Boston 12 ... now Nike will have the raise the bar with its boring ZoomFly or launch a new Tempo Next% ...

    Hey Ben! Speed is still my go-to, as it still feels more bouncy and soft. And I feel more comfortable at slower paces in the speed. The Boston is a lot more stable though, so it depends on what you like and need. Lars

    @@ardkf Hey. Sorry for the late answer. If you like a more stable shoe, then go for the Boston 12, but if you want a more bouncy and soft experience, go for the Endorphin Speed 3. If you are a beginner or not, it really doesn't matter much. What matters is that you start slowly and gradually increase the load on your body. That way you will stay injury free and happy while running. Lars

    Boston 12 is definitely the best version!! Currently bought 2 pairs because I cannot nail the size! 39 1/3 feels too tight and better length and 40 too roomy and long 😢 I loved the ride kinda wish sth in between sizes 😅 what would you recommend in that case? Happy new year!!

    Yeah, that is the problem with an upper like this. They either fit or they don't. If you want a fun and similar shoe I would maybe suggest the Hoka Mach X. It might be a bit softer underneath though, and the upper is VERY comfortable and better at adapting to the foot. Lars

    +2000km in my Boston boost years ago and +1200km in the Boston 10 and still brand new, but the 11 was a mistake...the upper did not last enough, just like the Adios 7 it would crack in less than 300km, hope this new upper solve that.

    2000km+... Do you weigh 10kg? I'm 70kg and am near 700km in my Boston 11s, there's a small patch in the midfoot where the tread has just about worn down to the foam, but otherwise the continental rubber is incredibly durable. I haven't had issues with the upper as far as durability. But the sizing seemed to be off, should have gone half size down.

    What do you think it would be the slowest comfortable pace to run on the Boston 12?

  • @RunningXpert

    @RunningXpert

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey James. I would probably use the Boston 12 on paces from 5:00 (8:00 minutes per mile) and up to intervals. Slower than that and I would like something with more comfort underneath my feet. As a reference, my marathon pace is at 4:30 (7:15). Lars

    I haven't tried both of them, but I imagine that the Adios is lighter and maybe faster, but if you want the help of some midsole stiffness and you want some more cushion, you should choose the Boston.

    According to our size guide: www.runningxpert.com/en/men/runningshoes/wide-running-shoes.html You should have a Men's US7 or a Women's US8.5. This does not take your foot width into account or if you like some extra space for your toes. Usually, women's shoes are more narrow than men's shoes. Lars

  • @RunningXpert

    @RunningXpert

    Жыл бұрын

    The Boston 12 is definitely a much better shoe in my opinion. I did like Boston 11, as I said, for the fast runs, and the fit was also okey once you got your feet into the shoe, but it never got into my rotation, which very few shoes really do. The Boston 12 will not either, even though it is a great shoe. This is just personal preference and I have too many shoes. I did some faster runs in Boston 11, especially faster intervals worked really well, because it felt fluid and natural to run fast in them. But it did also feel very clunky once you went at morerate or slower paces. The most interesting thing is that, we as a online store, sold crazy amounts of both Boston 10 and 11, so there are people out there that really enjoy both shoes, despite their reputation among reviewers. Lars

    I used to love bostons until v.10 came out. V10 and 11 are total disaster. Too firm to run long. Too heavy to run fast. Bad upper, poor heel lock. I hope the new version doesn't feel like a brick any more, although i highly doubt it

  • @RunningXpert

    Hey Nikos, It ssems, the Boston will never be the same again. I think you will get a lot closer to the old Boston with the new Adios than the Boston 12. But it for sure is a lot better than it has been. It's just a new shoe, and the Lightstrike 2.0 is an absolute game-changer for adidas. They can now compete more on regular daily training foam than they have done previously. Lars
