    Great video! I have the nimbus 25 and I want to upgrade to the nimbus 26 or kayano 31. I'm torn between these two. I weigh 87kg and run an average of 5km every day. Price for a comfortable sneaker, with good cushioning on your step, as if you were floating. I'm not sure which of the two is more comfortable, is there much of a difference?

    The Cumulus 26 was a real flop this year and only because they added the Fluidride outsole... It wears so fast and the grip is no better than with basic AHAR which itself was already not very grippy. Overall while I think Asics outsoles are very durable, the daily trainers kind of struggle with outsole grip. Asicsgrip seems quite good but it's only on the higher end models. Puma for example is miles ahead even on their cheaper models. Looking forward to the Glideride Max...

    Magic Speed 4 is super versatile. I’ve been using it for my speed days and some of my long runs, and plan on running in it for my marathon in Oct. Forefoot is wide enough for mid/forefoot strikers. It’s definitely not as bouncy or light as the metaspeed but what I gives in return is durability.

    @@irmanyazid both can be used for marathons, but if you over pronate then I wouldn’t train or run in the Magic Speed. I wouldn’t do daily easy miles in the Magic Speed, I’d save the Kayano for those.

  • @irmanyazid
    @irmanyazid22 күн бұрын

    @@Laolu90 Thank you for your comment and video. I've been using Kayano 28 for my daily normal runs, LSDs and races because I overpronate. Am trying to find training shoes (for speedwork and tempo runs) for flat-foot (like myself) and stable as well from Asics.

  • @Laolu90
    @Laolu9022 күн бұрын

    @@irmanyazid check out the Novablast 4. It’s technically not a speed shoe but the wide front outsole makes it a very stable neutral shoe for pronators and it can handle tempo paces with ease, thanks to its light weight and pronounced toe rocker. It’s also great for long and recovery runs, so can be used along with the K28.

  • @RunningXpert
    @RunningXpert24 күн бұрын

    Hey, It all depends on the cushioning you want. If I were to recommend anything from this video, it would be the Soulstride Flow. But the cushioning is quite firm, as is normal in trail running shoes. If you want a bit more cushion I would probably look for a shoe like the Saucony Exodus Ultra, the Trabuco 12 or Trabuco Max from Asics, or the Hierro or the More trail from New Balance. Hope this helps. If not. just ask more questions :D Lars
