ADHD diagnosis as an adult

For ADHD Awaress Month (October) I thought I'd share my story. Of course I've uploaded this video to KZread 2 months later..
Getting diganosed is rarely straight forward. For many like myself, it comes later on in life follwing a few twists and turns. This is my journey - hopefully it gives you some insight, advice, ideas etc.

HI and thanks for sharing. Elizabeth here. I was in your grief therapy class if I remember correctly. Hope you are doing well with your endeavours since ACAP. Your postt has just validated that seeing my recently discovered needs regarding my symptoms of overwhelm and issues focusing are related to my inner child traumas. Never really been referred to any one for inner child work, from years of seeing psychologists for Anxiety and major depression. I dropped out of acap counselling graduate diploma due to my symptoms, and regret that my struggles have not allowed me to finish my degree . Hooefully i will return to the studies i am very interested. When I hear you talk I start to like myself more. Thank you for sharing and Once again all the best to you Ricki.

Hey Elizabeth - thanks for stopping by! Sorry to hear bout your studies. I understand other things take priority at times so hope you're able to focus on the more important things. Have you looked up Nicole LePera (The Holistic Psychologist)? I think her books and content may be helpful for what you're speaking to.
