    If Adex made plastic spacers to use with the regular handle, the weight could move further from the hand creating a longer lever arm. This could give short people another reason to live.

    I have ARC and am 6.1 - 6.2 and have yet to hit my feet. I like it for developing my mills as it bridges the weight gap as you mentioned and the longer lever can also be played within your grip to make the one-handed exercises harder or easier. FAT handle option is the way to go imho

  • @CharitonIosifides
    @CharitonIosifides3 жыл бұрын

    If you need a longer lever, why not use plastic spacers to move the actual weight "away" from the handle? I did it for my first adjustable DIY club. Used solid pvc pieces to fill the void in the 2 inch plumbers pipe head when it was not fully loaded. Worked like a charm.

    @@MarkWildman exactly the same shape and dimensions as the actual iron weights. That makes them interchangeable. So if I want a “longer lever” I insert the plastic blanks first (closer to my hand) and the actual weights after (further from my hand). I will take a couple of pictures and post them on my Instagram and put a link here. Pictures make it much easier to understand.

    Thanks for your videos! Because of you, I've added regular days of kettlebells and clubs to weekly routine. I can see the Arc as a great replacement for Persian Meels or Indian Joris. I have a nice pair of Meels someone gave me, but they're not cheap and buying a heavier pair would run about the same as an Arc. And then again, and again... It's only working one side at a time and the weight is obviously more focused on the end vs. along the whole Meel, but I see it as a good compromise.

    Thanks for this video, I've been debating the purchase of an ARC but was thinking of using it more as a mace then a club. Since I'm about 5'7", I could use a shorter mace. I already have a Pahlavandle XL for a heavy club but adjustability is a bit of an issue, empty it's too light, filled with rice it's too heavy (can't imagine filling it with sand! ). So I'm looking for a solution that will allow convenient adjustability. Looking forward to see how you use it moving forward.

    I've been using my Arc for a couple weeks. I'm 6 foot and only swinging 11 lbs., but IMO it's great as a heavy club! My wife and I got two skinny clubs, one fat arc, and one fat mace April 1st. I've been using a 10 mace a few times a week for 6+ months (since I found your channel.) I've been planning to use the Arc through your app program as my heavy club. Though my reason was because I prefer the fatter handle, given our purchase decisions.

  • @GrantGardner80

    I had that same question before getting mine and someone else mentioned that for them they could just use a glove to increase the grip size for them. I'm a tall guy, but have pretty small hands especially for my height, so I went with the 1" original handles and have been very happy. I didn't have any club experience before so it wasn't an adjustment for me. And if I get to that point of wanting more challenge for my grip strength, I'll go the glove route. That's been my experience so far.

    The fat handle is 1.2 inches or 30 mm. My 25lb RMax is a 35 mm handle. Most non adjustable clubs in the 25 lb increment have a 35 mm ish handle. Coincidentally that is also the handle size of a competition kettlebell. The 1.2 handle takes some getting used to. I also find the powdercoat a little too smooth.
