Considering how they are written, I'm not complaining that we have 5 instead of the standard 6. Instead of orders like the SM, it's themed around weapons and more like the tyranids. Not associated with one specific sub-faction.

Army of faith sounds like the most strategic and highest skill ceiling detachment. You’d have to put more thought into positioning and discerning opponent strategy and setting up big single turn pushes…. After planning and maximizing dice while not getting killed. Seems really engaging

I am excited for the new detachments because of Mechanized Sisters buff! Love the assault weapons detachment and bonus to strength

It is exactly what I wanted, the most I love about Sisters is burning heretics (as a previous Salamanders fan also helps.) I will most likely always be running this detachment unless some off days I want to run the others. It's the best thing that came out of today

An entire army of anti-tank infantry sounds so fun With some anti infantry flamers of course too. Retributors as battle line maybe?

My lofty wish is getting back the auto-explode strat for immolators(or any vehicle!) that was in 9th edition. Unloading an immolator than suicide charging+exploding it was one of my favorite things to do in the entire game.

We finally get to eat good! The Emperor has surely blessed us this day!

I wished for s10 meltas. And I got so much more. If they don’t botch it on the last metres, it’ll be an awesome codex

As an Ebon Chalice player I've been too excited about Bringers if the Flame to even read the other detachments yet. Heretics, mutants, xenos, vehicles, terrain, random civilians who get in the way... theyre all getting purged in flame

With the added push that we are going to be seeing for battleline units flamers are going to be going up in value quite a bit. Add buffing them to be even stronger is going to be a huge boon.

Ebon Chalice ftw for being the OG sisters and having the most gun Celestians in the lore.

A stratagem like Vashtors 'make a vehicle a daemon' for the penitent detachment to give other units the penitent keyword could be very good. It fits narratively that some of the other units might fall from grace and seek penance during the fight, too. If you needed to balance it you can lean into the narrative aspect and make it so you can only target a unit if they fell back, are below starting/ half strength or something like that.

Big fan of the Holy Gun detachment. Was getting ready to shelve my Sisters since they're still an unpainted Battleforce at the moment, but I may actually try to get them painted up instead of just focusing on Orks.

Assualt Cannon Castigator seems so strong with the Bringers of the Flame. Like the downside of having to get a castigator close to get full shots is a bit mitigated by it all getting +1 str. And it gets Assault to close the gap as well. Also to keep distance from things if need be.

Immolators with assault? We are bringing fire and awesome mobility.

As a Valorous Heart player… I am still pleased. I think all of the shown rules look solid. Really looking forward to the full read-throughs this weekend!

As always, the handsome little vampire man coming through just when I need him. I just got my Paragons kit today and was going to go with the standard melta/launcher loadout, but I wanted to get a good explanation of the new Trinity detachment before I just ignored flamers entirely. Needless to say, my nundams are going to burn out the heretic hordes.

Thanks so much for this video! I am SUPER hyped for the codex (I was trying not to give into the naysayers who were complaining for weeks about "only four detachments," even as I was worried, and then when they were revealed, I was ecstatic). The closed captioning on this video said, "I know many of you have been running lots of Arco flatulence," and that's too funny to not mention.

I'm looking forward to running my Sally Sisters. I already run my Blood Angels as Firestorm more than anything else.

Really happy Sacred Rose got a detachment. So glad it isn't about flyers as that one would have been hot garbage. I can only hope that 0 detachment stratagems focuses on flyers. If they do any I hope it is a general Sister's one.

Yeah everyone was assuming these detachments would be bad too. A flying based detachment would have been niche, but you can't say for sure it'd be bad at all. If they made seraphim capable of dropping from the skies within 3" with buffs to their weapons, I can see that being a massive problem. We'll never know.

I'm taking back everything bad I've said about GW in the past 24 hours after this. Unknowingly, I've been building a Penitent Host detachment since 10th ruined my MSU sisters army and I'm very happy to see some rules that work for it. Still not best pleased with the loss of crusaders/assassins and only being able to take 3 priests but this seems like compensation enough

Army of faith with a (hopefully) reworded Triumph would mean a retributor squad with a dialogus could, with reasonable success, deal at least 18 damage to something with only 2 6’s in the pool 😍

Crazy to see the difference in general detachment rules leading to a lot of really interesting list building decisions to make vs specific unit rules for detachments being kind of narrow and bland

Even the Castigator can go "Drive closer, I want to hit them with my sword- I mean, get S 10 autocannons (or S 11 battle cannon)!" Technically the Exorcist could drive up close for S 11 missiles, but I don't see people driving that anywhere near the enemy, it uses an indirect-fire weapon. The Castigator on the other hand might be closer to foes already.

If you're in 12" of the enemy that means the enemy is in 12" of your castigator and will teebag it next turn. Worth the risk for having +1S?

I’m so excited for these! This is my first codex as a Sisters player, and I’m really excited to try all of the detachments. Technical question: What do you think will happen with the triumph now that army of faith stole the buff? I would love to see “two additional” in the wording (so 4 in Army of Faith, 3 elsewhere), but I also wonder if they’ll change the buff completely.

Been slowly buying and building models based off of your armoured/mechanized vid, so far would you say Bringers of the Flame or Army of Faith as a detachment rule?

The Flame and the Faith detachments both seem pretty good and fun. Better guns and better miracles, nice. That's what I want for my army of religious zealots. The Penitent detachment is so... niche. Unless you are planning on becoming a horder army, fielding 30 penitents and 20 repentias, plus engines and mortifiers, I can't really see it working. I've also never met a Sisters' players that says ''Boy, I do love painting arcoflagellants!''

Sisters are starting to look s p I c y Immolators now got an average of 15 inch move with the ability to shoot and have sisters leaving the vehicle shoot. Squad of 10 seraphim with the jumpack cannoness look super good now too and I wanna take a full squad of 10 seraphim and zephrim to be a major hassle with speed and now deadly force. Castigator Battle cannons (at close range) now wound most vehicles on 3+ and ignore cover and have assault with rerolling hits to vehicles and I'm super excited

Does Strength 7 get us much on Repentia? Any T6 units they are likely to be running into? Genuine question since I'm still fairly new and most of my knowledge of datasheets is limited to CSM and Sisters. Also with this quote "you can always double the chance for the Sustained Hits 1 weapons on Arco-flagellant and Repentia squads" looks like Repentia are getting sustained hits which is awesome. Super psyched for Bringers of Flame, it's all my Argent Shroud heart could hope for, and the extra strength for some amazing breakpoints is definitely an added bonus. Only thing I'm disappointed about with these detachments is we've got no Valorous Heart representation. Argent Shroud may be my favourite but I know a lot of people are die hard Valorous Heart lovers and it's disappointing to see one of our core orders getting snubbed.

Assault and +1 Str on every gun? I feel like that's hard to beat. The pentient host might be fun to play, but you would need to own a lot of those models and I'm not that into them.

There’s a note on the Penitent Host detachment that says each vow can only be chosen once per battle. Was that typo? And it should be once per battle round? Or does that mean we only have an active vow 3/5 rounds?

Let's be fair, battleround 2,3 & 4 are when all the action happens anyway

So it seems Sisters got the Necron/Tau/Ork codex writing team, fun themed detachments that all seem pretty functional if specialized (Penitent one is basically SoBs Dreadmob, decently effective but highly specialized in focusing on Ork walkers, Grot vehicles and squads led by Mekboys, in the SoBs case, pentient engines and penitent units). Which means, since it's a Codex pair, that GSC probably got the Admech/Dark Angels/Custodes writing team...

Mhmm..feels a tad sad that the bloody rose detachment is more for penitent units. Fire it is.

Bringers of Flame: Palatine and Dialogus with Fervent Purgation in a BS squad with a Multi-Melta, hanging out next to the Triumph with the double miracle ability up. Something moves within 18" range and you can Overwatch with the multi-melta and spend two Miracle Dice of any value for 4 Multi-Melta hits, two of which auto-wound. That's going to leave a mark in just about anything.

I must say I was worried when I first heard that we were only getting four detachments, but now I'm definitely happy about having gone with Argent Shroud as my order!

The detachments are REALLY unoriginal. But Bringers of Flame (even thou it's a blatant copy) looks the most fun to play. Sad that I will not be able to resurrect characters anymore.

Detachments look interesting, pretty much all of them. Hope Hallowed Martyrs stay without much change and most of all I pray that we do not get screwed lore-wise. Therefore here is to hope.

I think people are coping so hard on penitent detachment, trying to imagine how it WOULD work in perfect conditions. How it actually will go: +3" turn one looks fine (if you forget that flame detachment can advance+shoot with WHOLE roster WHOLE game). Then turn 2 you maybe manage to make a charge with 2-4 units, then turn 3 you buff say units in existing fights. And after that? Nothing. 2 turns without any buffs. Not to mention that apart of 4-5 units the rest of the army is getting absolutely nothing. IMO you should be able to choose one rule every turn no matter how many times you choose the same rule. But this? What a lackluster... Verdict: fun for 1 time, after that U-S-E-L-E-S-S :(. P.S. Miracle detach is 100% gambling for getting 4+ md. No luck= hurr-durr, you get no detach rule basically. Therefore unreliable, therefore not good. At least we got 1 decent flame detachment, this will be my go-to because i really don't like OML rule. Though it's still not as good as AS, BR or AC in 9th sadly.

This is tempting as fuck, I'm not even a Sisters player but like... I was already needed heads for my Custodes, why not buy sisters?
