They look like mismatch, obvious grafts. They do it like this because it's quick and dirty, but you will ALWAYS know it was grafted.

Oh shut up. Do you eat corn and carrots? Man made those plants what they are, along with every other edible fruit. Native corn is about half an inch long with tiny, barely edible kernels. Carrots were tiny and white or purple before the Dutch turned them into large, delicious orange carrots that you buy at your local grocery store. Without man-made fruits and vegetables we would not be able to feed the population of the world at this point. So get off your high horse, and watch the video.

You can try to make a cutting but the resulting olant won't be a decent adenium ( it will stay small and unvigorous)

The question is, doesn't the graft move when you remove the tape ? I have grafted like this. Although the graft was successful, it moves when you remove it and half part is only attached to the base.

Depends on the stock. If it's a hard to come by type they would graft it , like done here. You can root them on their own, but they don't grow such a bulbous root structure, so most are seed grown for a good base, than grafted to get the flower choice. I'm rooting mine right now
