I love Abi but that's a bit of a stretch.

There is no doubt that Abi should win this year's competition. Look at the numbers (social media), look at the performances she puts EVERY WEEK! It's unbelievable! I have watched American Idol for YEARS, and I have NEVER seen such talent. She is a complete artist in every sense!!!

Hello, you are so right. Abi for me is a BUDDING Superstar. I have never heard this song and LOVE it after Abi sings it. When Abis on her game she story tells when she sings. What was I Made for had that feeling and was simply an AMAZING cover. Abi will be the FIRST American Idol singer I see live. I just don't go see any cause most really aren't that good. Average singers that get hyped on the show but away from the show they can't stand on their own. I think Abi makes it in the business. ESPECIALLY after you see how well she can do with a Potentially good stage / light show. Shes a GREAT kind human period. You can just tell 🤗

Abi is great and my personal favorite for this year. She reminds me of Sara Bareilles. Another artist you should check out if you are unfamiliar.

Abi has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard in my entire life. She doesn't just sing a song, she lives it, she embodies it, and delivers it with heart stopping passion. Her vocals are so incredible it's easy to overlook her sublime pianos skills and her phenomenal stage presence. And absolutely beautiful too This girl has got it all I can't stop watching

My mom has had a series of strokes that have fried a significant portion of her brain. She can't speak, read, write, and doesn't even know her own name or what year it is. But she understood this performance. It left her in tears with a look of wonder in her face. That is the purety and angelic tone of Abi's voice. It transcends logic and speaks to the soul.

that's how an unresolved, haunting heartache should sound... when all you need is to hear the other person's voice, but what you get is silence... she sang with that unbearable pain of helpless longing... and that just tears one apart because we have all been there.

Wow, she completely transformed the song from its original into it own unique composition and emotional tone. That was simply wonderful to hear. I imagine even Adelle would be moved by this heartfelt rendition.

Her voice is pretty epic!

This young lady is single handedly saving this season for mediocrity. This was fantastic and the arrangement was to die for!

I agree with your assessment. Jack and Abi should be the top 2. However I think you are underestimating the cult like attitude of country fans. Will Mosley in my opinion will probably win. But for me Abi Carter is hands down the best contestant this year.

THAT WAS THE GREATEST PERFORMANCE I HAVE SEEN ON IDOL, EVER!! Abi is in a class by herself...it was like no other rendition of that beautiful song. A star has been made, right in front of our eyes....

Abi has had a burning desire to sing her entire life. Heck! Even before she was born! Our obstetrician, who had delivered thousands of babies, took off his headphones during Abi's sonogram and said "I've heard everything, but I've never heard this. Your daughter is SINGING!" Abi comes from a singing family. Her parents and grandparents include several amateur singers, choir directors, and piano players (church mostly). Mom has a beautiful voice and was singing constantly while Abi was in gestation. We watched American Idol together when it debuted in 2002. Abi was listening and learning and was born a month later. American Idol became a staple in our home for years to come. But pushing all that amniotic fluid around did a number on Abi's vocal cords! Early on, it wasn't apparent that she would ever have an angelic voice. But she kept singing and had AMAZING control. I told her: "You have a broken instrument, but you play it beautifully!" Well, thank God, that instrument ain't broken anymore!

She did absolutely amazing! She needs to win this!

All I can think about is a comment that was made on her audition video. They talked about how they saw Abi before she was on Idol - when she would perform in public spaces for whoever was walking by. And here she is now. I’m just so happy the world gets to see her beautiful, God-given talent 🙌
