I think everyone has their own interpretation of "Hello." Mine is when my niece was born almost two months after the song was released. "Hello from the other side" was her waiting to be born. Good early Christmas present for the whole family.

The fact she actually wrote this song directed at her younger self is so much more powerful I can’t explain it

This song made me bawl my eyes out, imagining trying to talk to my cousin on the phone and telling her how much I loved her and how I was sorry for not trying harder to reach out and keep her in my life. I have better relations with her now, but they’re still distant. Her and I text, but I haven’t seen her in over 8 years. I miss her so much, and I hope some day I can see her again.

That's basically how my family is, my Aunt (dad's sister) had a disagreement with my Aunt and she moved to Florida somewere and she has 2 sons that I have never met that ar younger then me. My mum and Aunt had a huge disagreement and I wasn't aloud to see my 2 younger cousins for 2 years plus covid wich was almost 4 years. I wasn't able to see them untill school. But then I was still not aloud to see my Uncle and Aunt. But now that um older my 1 cousin is in my school. I get to see my Aunt and Uncle because of Pta.

I don’t know if this is true but I saw on Tiktok that was was written to her younger self and my heart just shattered hearing it in that perspective.

This song has a bigger meaning than just a song it's a masterpiece 😂

growing up I remember hearing this song at fast food places, I just sang it and loved it. I had no idea what it meant, now I hear it and look back at my past... I am sorry to myself, my young mind was broken, I hurt my younger self... I am so sorry truly. But... if I could go back in time... I wouldn't change what I had done. I learnt so much from the experience... so even if I could change it all... I wouldn't, I'd break myself again, be hurt again, feel it all again, just so my mind understands life isn't some fairytale.
