I feel every word of this song. My husband passed away n 3 years later I met someone. He promised not to hurt me, broke up over a text and then exactly what this song says. In my 50s not a kid, still now I trust no one. I do hope he’s happy and blessed. 😢

In a similar situation back in my mid 40's. Divorced I finally allowed myself to be vulnerable. I was his "pretty lady". I went on vacation with him. Had never been away from my kids before! We returned, and unpacked everything even the booster seat ( which confused me). He kissed me goodbye at the door. From planning our forever to never seeing or hearing from him again. Took so long to recover. Now, in my late 60's I've never allowed anyone to be that close again. Him? He moved on. Met someone & married. Stay strong! You deserve better! 🤗💛
