I so much like this man's music as that of his brother, Orlando Owoh, in the 70s particularly the educative stories.

I remembered Adewesco in ibadan along ode olo market inalende, Always parked is coater Bus with inscription ADEWESCO on the Bus in front of a bungalow building .

Ade Wesco is a musical son to Orlando Owoh. Ade is a musical genius while Orlando is the father of musical geniuses.

Ade wesco was one of mr Orlando owoh back vocalist and later left the band to creat his own Band,its normal for every musician to sound like the person they learned from.

I am Edo man I really really love ade wesco musics you are a real musician

Love , love, love this one. Especially the dual background response singers "Olohun oyin" and "Olohun iyo" a hallmark of Congolese music that translated very well to other genres. Good stuff

Thanks for bringing memory back to early 70s. There was a serious fight between him and Dr. Orlando Owoh because of the resemblance of their voice and Wesco was very junior to Owoh.

Hi planet, you are the true son of your father by posted this great music of Ade wisco. i have the opportunity to meet him at OWO in the year 1977. he isplayed just like his Brother Dr. of all Dr. orlando. i love his music. hope he still around to grace any of my coming event in Ondo State soon.

He was originally with Orlando's band,but left to formed his band,and this didn't go down well with Orlando especially Wesco singing in his(orlando's style of music). "Ajua ye, ajua ye,ajua weh shalayo mi, nibi ka pede orin,ajua weh shalayo mi,nibi ka fi guitar soro o ajua weh shalayo mi"....... N'she l'awon oni copy n'she lasan beeni won le sare bawa. He was actually reffering to Wesco, but in actuall fact, Wesco wasn't "strong" enough to pull rivary with baba

Can anyone please let me know where Ade Wesco is now? In the absence of Dr Owoh, this is the only authentic replacement we can find on the planet. Kenneries for Ever!!

Hi Planet, Agreed and the similarity doesn't seem to be by chance either. This is what Bellemsky commented on the original Likembe post, "Wesco was formerly with Owoh's band i'm told, but left to form his own band.... But Owoh appeared to be more versatile in his compositions and lyrical diction. This made Owoh the undisputed master, leaving Wesco to only be remembered in the context and shadow of Owoh...." In any case I wish I could find more Ade Wesco. I really like him. cheers, Cole

@planetolusola you are very right... He used to be with Orlando, and i heard he still jams in the Akure axis. You may do well to check out. Although the young man that seems to be riding on Orlando's shoulders at the moment is Sehinde Jo. I want to hear more from him though... @groovemonzter thanks for the citation :-)
