This LP was waxed at a time Juju music was at its best and unparalleled. I am fortunate to belong to this era when we had notable players like Emperor Pick Peters, King Sunny Ade, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, Idown Animashaun, Hauja Bello, Tony Adex, Bob Aladeniyi, and General Prince Adekunle. Wish Juju would be revived soon.

Our traditional rulers, being custodians of our culture have failed! They have allowed English language to very gradually be replacing our local languages. Songs like this can only be sung when a person has a mastery of Yoruba and it can only be truly appreciated and enjoyed by listening ears that have a genuine and proper grip of Yoruba language. That's something that is currently going into extinction in Yoruba land. Most can hardly speak fluent Yoruba without mixing English!

Omo Ode was never a bad person. Never. The fight was marketing strategy then. You would want to listen to either Dele, Pick Peter, Sunny Ade or Obey to judge who among them could abuse each other most. Today, Obey is best friend to Sunny. Dele is equally so to Emperor Pick Peter. Infact, Dele Abiodun and Pick Peter performed together this year 2017 at a function bringing forth beautiful song tracks from their oldies. You need to see how close these old guys are.

Exactly, very similar guitar works, but different voice.
This was when proper music was being played and produced without today's useless computerized music. God bless you Adawa Super!

Am so happy to have this album here on KZread.

You are right @Same Oris...as a matter of fact Tunde Nightingale was a little of older generate and saw IK Dairo's brand as a younger brand that will soon fade way.

i wan you guys to watch those who loves old music, the way they behave in the society. they don't rush in doing things, they think before doing, most of this old music teaches patience, endourance, and encourage you, even warn you of so many dangers ahead of you. but see what is going on in the society now, no more good music, OMA SE OOOO.

I too grow up with this music, but I thought the artist was King Sunny Ade. I never heard about a musician name Admiral Dele Abiodun. Great song.

That was the problem. KSA shadowed him, and he struggled to shine. Funny thing thing is that both were good friends.

I too ! I cant wait to see KSA's Explosion. Lol....i thought it was only me who is on the look out for the post.
This reminds me of when I was child and my parents would play this music in the background, using the old tape players. This is the closest I will get to my roots.
OMG! I use to think it was KSA that sang this song😅.
Decency Oladunni is a female juju artist of this era also.

please listen to intro of this song, what them fingers do to dem strings. beautiful piece.
I don't believe this. The first time i heard this recording was in 2001, on a Nigerian radio station in London. I had no idea that it was released in 1976. And i had no idea that it was Dele Abiodun who recorded it. It would be interesting to find out many copies this record sold at the time.
LOVE IT
iN SHORT THANKS.I VE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ALBUM.ANYONE WITH KSA EXPLOSION SHOULD HELP OUT
Its just amazing since decade,this sound keep rocking!I dont know why the younger generation left this for the total madness!When I listen to the current Nijah mainstream music I m about to cry and I keep asking myself what went wrong to miss the road! Is any chance to see any emerging young talent to promote this old school Juju music?.....All the way from Senegal...Greetings!

Take me back to my root
This is what is called therapy.There is no more music again.new style with meaningless concepts.
adebowale shodiya (Germany )for my time.
Thanks for the memory. I remember hearing this for the first time in 1976 and thinking it was King Sunny Ade. Where is the Side B (Track 2)?
I wonder why KSA complained about Omo Ode, likewise Admiral, that simply means the man Omo Ode is not a good man.
@mosesadekunle4898

Omo ode is not a bad person. He is a good juju musician too. Three of them were fighting for supremacy....
@bunmiola7483

Which radio station is that, sir? Does it still exist?
Side B is on my channel, the song is titled Iba Oluwa.
This is Adawa Super 2!
Does any know if Dele Abiodun is still playing?
