Hi Becky, the vintage fabric is just gorgeous and made beautiful window coverings!! The colors just make you smile! If the length does bother you, try rehanging them through the top "ruffle" if you can. I had to do that with one set that shrunk even in cold water and air dried. The sunflower plates look terrific in your hutch, what a great find.

Oh wow Becky…I absolutely LOVE it! It goes so well with the plates on the wall. You could go flower shopping at Hobby Lobby and maybe find a few matching flowers you could tuck here and there 🌻

The sunflowers are so pretty. For the curtains, it's so easy to take a seam ripper and rip out what you did. You could make the pattern go the right way and if you skipped the ruffle on the top you'd have a longer curtain. You could even make the casing on the top out of a neutral fabric. It wouldn't show on the back and they'd be long enough. The edge of the fabric is called the selvedge. Really enjoy your videos.

My aunt came by the other day and told me that all my dishes remind her of my mama because she had all the plates! Absolutely love everything!!! If you’re wanting to add a little more length to your curtains you can take the rod out of the pocket and use curtain rings and that will make them fall lower. I did this with a set of curtains and it made a big difference. But they are lovely just like they are! Great job! 🌼✌🏼🧡😊

You did a fantastic job on your drapes and they do look great in both rooms. I have a couple of suggestions on the light coming through and the length. We have blinds in a number of our rooms and I have found that if you close the blinds in an upward position it keeps more light out. No will be able to see in from outside. On the length, since the hems can’t be seen, you could take out bottom hem and make it a narrow shirt tail hem. Second option is taking material to fabric store to quilting section and matching background color . Make approximately a 4” wide band to sew to bottom to make length you want. Band should be straight piece, not gathered. Greatly enjoy your videos. Hugs

I like the way the curtains look in both rooms. I had thought that the pattern might be a bit too much for the bedroom, but now that it's up and we can see the pattern, it looks great. You can always use 4 panels in one room if you decide to change a set of drapes later. You couldn't go wrong here. 🧡💚💛 I love the way the hutch looks with your new plates. I would use something other than plates on the wall, but if you like it, it's fine. 🌻

Becky, you done great with the curtians..I used to make all of our curtians; when we were 1st married, we couldn't afford to buy any..so I done the best I could do with what we could afford..now that we are financially able to buy them, I still choose to thrift them..i just a new set for our master bedroom..first brand new set in years..lol..we have huge windows, and the sun is brutal in the summer, and the cold weather is brutal too...i was so happy when I found enough curtians for all 3 windows, less than 15.00..lol..I love to thrift as many items as I can..lol..thanks for sharing with us.

Becky I LOVE the dishes and I'm really liking those vintage curtains.. you are so my soul vintage sister ..LOL.. I have the same owl canisters and the same backspkash , I'm an amber collector.... I love old pmates and old pots and pans... lime you say I like sprinkles of 70's throughout my home with those golds, oranges & browns.... you are an amazing decorator ...love the curtains especially in the bedroom..I'd put something flowery and more yellow-ish in the living g room as you have more yellows than oranges in it..either way it ALL looks great

Your curtains turned out great and I would have never guessed the pattern was upside down. You are the motivation I needed because I have a bathroom DIY that involves sewing and I’ve been putting it off. Who am I kidding, I’ll probably just end up using hem tape. 😂 With the sunflower dishes in the hutch, if it were me, I would take down the dishes on the wall. Or if you like having dishes there, maybe put some of your mom’s dishes there, like a plate and the platter, so there aren’t so many competing patterns. But it’s all about what’s pleasing to your eye.

I see nothing wrong with hem tape. Do what makes the project unstressful for you and where you will enjoy doing it. Sometimes I end up sucking the joy right out of a project because I get too stressed out about it being perfect.

The curtains go beautifully in the bedroom and add nice color in the family room. I think the shorter length in the bedroom is good so they don’t get caught by your feet or the sweeper when vacuuming.

I’m glad they don’t look too bad because I really don’t want to have to redo them. The short length isn’t bothering me too much either although I may take them out of the pockets and use curtain clips to lengthen them a little.

Hey Becky, Just dropping in to say the hutch and curtains are great and so your style! Being a teenager in the 70s, I Love your channel, its like visiting with a friend. As for the length of the curtains, don't worry about it too much : A. You can't see the shortness really from most views, B. They wont get dusty on the bottom, and C. Easy to vacuum or sweep under them without them getting in the way, Enjoy😊

I sewed curtains for my daughter and they were a little short also. We found some beautiful lace and added it, turned out really nice.

If there to short you can put the rod through the top hole on the drape and not have a header. Lots of drapes are not having headers now. They are very pretty. Good job.

I LOVE the blue and white plates used for decor, they are so pretty. My sister in law collects Currier and Ives and she uses them all over her home also. I could look at them all day.

Run the curtain rod through to ruffle pocket to make them longer.

The curtains are oerfect in both rooms and really liven things up. To get a little more length, you might turn the panels upside down and use curtain clips to hang them instead of having the rod pocket.

If the dishes bring you joy on the wall, they are not too much. Maybe remove a couple of them and space the rest where they are not so close together. Isn't sewing such a useful skill to have?
