Ladies, buy white cement to start with, you can further whiten it by replacing the normal sand with white slica sand, only start using that oxide if that still doesn't meet your requirement, great videos

Thank you Bree for sharing your videos. I'm also a soap maker that uses titanium dioxide in my soap. There are two kinds of TD that I know of, one is water dispersible the other is oil dispersible. Not sure if the oil dispersible will work differently than the water-dispersible just something to think about when purchasing your TD to use in your cement all. Also, soap-making suppliers sell TD. If you google you may find a good deal with quantity and shipping, especially if you pick a company in your state or area of the country. Hope this is helpful. Vicki

I tried this and in one vessel I did one plastic spoon and in the other 2 I did 2 spoons. I like the 2 spoons better. Def whiter BUT I don't know if it messes up the integrity of the cement?? I never read about it ....I just did it. Still loving your videos! Thank you!

I am a soap maker and blending titanium dioxide into the batter requires a stick blender to get the td to incorporate completely it may be worthwhile to try mixing the cement 'batter' with a stick blender to get a whiter pot. TD prefers to be blended with warm distilled then cooled, and mix with distilled water.

I have been using white countertop concrete mix and I loveeee the results. This particular brand takes alot longer to dry than Cement All but I love the white color and its also is making my pigments more vivid when I add them. I've been painting the inside of my white jars with gold metallic.. making my own luxe collection... I do the gold first then the sealer on top. Before that I was adding plain white portland cement to the Cement All... but that weakend the concrete and I found many of them cracked as the candles were curing. Portland cement is not concrete..found that out the hard way. But the counterrop mix is incrediblely strong and comes in diff colors.

@@calafiacandleco thanks ..they do look pretty good my fav so far is the baby blue concrete with gold inside. 😍.. ya its just powder cement without any additives. Nothing to make it strong. Its almost like chalk. Its extremely fragile by itself. I made 4 large 6 inch planter pots with Portland by itself and with in 4 days hours all 4 were cracked to pieces. And a dozen candles mixed with cement all and they all cracked too.. was a mess. You can break the material like a piece of chalk when nothing is added to it. But its very very bright white so if you have the patience and ability you can mix white sand and some additives to make it into white concrete. But the counter top mix is already done for you. Just takes min. 16 hr dry time.. I might try the charcoal countertop next..

My husband's in the industry and so he recommended a product to me that I'm very satisfied with! Only thing is, the cure time is longer. But I don't mind that at all!!!

just looked at DC, it is a white pigment. they show the white results with the white Portland cement and Gray. I bought the white portend cement from special order form Menards and tried multiple vessels and posters and the results is way more lighter and more fragile. I will make some research to fix this.

When using pigment from direct color, is it recommended to add TD to lighten the color of the jar? Or do you recommend using less pigment amount to lighten the jar? I used #102 and the jar color is a bit darker than I would like.
