ADDING SUSPENSION TO THE TROT // Some tips and exercises to improve your trot!

Hi guys, these are a few things I will be focusing on with Ella, I think if you don’t already lateral work is an important thing for improving the trot as it massively helps the suppleness and as you see in this video it’s my go to thing to help correct balance or leaning on a shoulder!

Please remember I am learning too! And will be for forever more LOL, I have a lot to work on myself (shoulders, core and lower leg come to mine!) As well as making sure I keep ellas nose more out!

I’d love to see a video on shoulder in/how to start lateral work as I’m trying to learn shoulder in but I get mixed up with my hands and legs and knowing how much bend is correct etc! I find learning from videos so much more helpful! Love this video!

I’d have to speak to my dad as one of his online courses is groundwork which is how I start my lateral work and I don’t want to infringe ☺️🙈

0:44 the what is the most important thing towards building suspension? It’s a very nice video but I didn’t get that part of the sentence. Are you extending with haunches in?
Are you able to do a video on simple changes? I’m trying to get them with my horse but he’s struggling to pick up the correct lead after a stride or 2 of trot! Love your videos 🥰

Could you do a video on how to develop half pass? I started teaching my pony about a month ago and I’m struggling to get her to relax and soften whilst doing them! Love this video btw😍

Oh thats a fab idea! Ella is hit at miss with left half pass so can show the development in her as I do various exercises ! x
