Very simple and pretty! goldies are so fun to watch when they poke around in the sand. mine love to spit it out and "redecorate" :P

I love goldfish, they love their owner, they always massage my hands. Atleast my goldfish does.

I think it looks so much better. And also, it’s mental stimulation for the fish, and the natural behavior comes out. A bare bottom tank is like floating around in space without a purpose or goal. Beautiful fish and great size tank!👍

Putting sand in goldfish aquarium can be a risky move and a hard move the goldfish could swallow sand when they eat the food at the bottom and with sand its harder for them to see the food

So satisfying to watch you rinse the sand and place them in the tank

Let me tell you that it's totally normal. A sanitized and crystal clean tank is totally unnatural. The poo converts to fertilizer for the plants (which I hope you have in your tank).

When changing water you can use the tube to suck up the poop. It’s quite simple and if you have gravel or anything at the bottom just put it back in after cleaning the tank.

@@xXChaeraXx consistency. with all choices we have out there, we need to focus on essentials. in goldfish, ranchu is simplicity and it is well represented in the tank concept.

You can siphon it just like how you clean/siphon gravel. The sand is heavy enough to stay down.

I always hear goldfish are very hardy but everytime I add goldfish to my aquarium they all die within a few weeks, I have fish in other tanks that are considered way less hardy and keep them for years without any issue

ArMantou goldfish have always been hard for me just because they are very very dirty fish. They require constant ph checks & water changes. Everyone says they’re “beginner fish” but I don’t believe it at all.

Yeah saying they're beginner fish is misleading. They require over-filtration, large aquariums and frequent water changes to see them thrive.

The only beginner fisb there is either Neon Tetra or Guppys, maybe maybe tiger barbs( the small ones) but they fight if stressed.

@@antswearingpants19 yes, I have had so many types of fish and never had any problem, I cycle the tank before, let them slowly acclimate to the new water temperature, don't add many at a time to avoid ammonia spikes, etc it's just no matter what I do they're so fragile and die after a few weeks, I think the begginner goldfish must be the common ones because the fancy type are very difficult to keep for me

I think you need more suction cups for that one air hose...

If you think this works for you its fine. But when you need to filter over 50 kilos of sand, I put it into a bucket and fill it for 1/4 with sand. Then get a gardenhose so you are able to add fresh water constantly. Watch out you dont add the water to hard so sand could get flushed with the water. Move your hand though the sand untill you are able to see the bottom/sand clearly so you lost all the dust who needs to be removed, of course...
