Adding NEW Animals || Paludarium UPDATE

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

This video takes place 2 months after initial setup. I didn't mention the names of any new plants so here are the important ones off the top of my head:
Begonia Maculata
Alocasia Bambino
Neoregelia "Fireball"
Neoregelia "Tom Tom"
Neoregelia "Gene McKenzie"
Neoregelia "Superball"
Something else I didn't mention was that after returning home from the aquarium store, I realized that all the shrimp I had purchased were female. From there I proceeded to drive all the way back just to buy 2 males. So far they all seem to be doing great, and I haven't had any acclimation issues. I supplement them food once a week and I use "Shrimp King Complete".

I absolutely love this. I took in a bearded dragon a few years ago as a rescue, he came to me in the most generic and cramped tank you could imagine. I built him a bioactive vivarium as I thought it would be the best habitat for him and I found myself falling in love with building these small, contained ecosystems that none the less contained so much life.

Depending on the temp in your tank and if you want to bother with wintering plants and what other critters you will be adding, carnivorous plants could be a great option for the empty pots. Venus fly traps are a safe and easy bet, though pitcher plants and sundews might cause probs for smaller animals. Idk, but this looks awesome!! Good work, bro!

You are definitely right about the soil messing with the water. But to my observations so far, it has had no negative effects. I got mine from joshsfrogs.com, glassboxtropicals.com, and blackjungleterrariumsupply.com. Plants never come in great condition when shipped and will generally take a month or two to look good.
