Thanks for putting this together! I'm looking at putting in cruise control in my lancer and I'm a bit more confident after seeing this! I see in the options page of the ETACS decoder that there is an option for ELM327 beside Lexia and J2534. I have a USB ELM327 reader, do you know if that would do the same job?

Great video, I'm currently dealing with a 2011 outlander where the ETACs is failing. Have you had to replace a ETAC ever? and can you point me where to get the software to decode?

Any way to do this without a PC?? What are the things on the pc you say have to be bought??? Thanx

Hi...Have you considered adding an aftermarket (obviously) power or manual sunroof, maybe a high powered audio system with subwoofer also, to your Mirage? Your review of the Mirage, in the other vid I viewed, is great!♐

I'm not a huge fan of sunroofs, so I won't be adding that, but I do see that offer some huge speaker/Amp upgrade to the factory radio. I will be keeping an eye out for one of those on the used market as time goes by.

I just replaced the 7 year old battery on my 2017 Mirage. The darn thing seems quitter and runs more smooth.

Hello, is there an option for speed sensitive door locking in that etacs software? I tried to see the options while you are scrolling etacs options but could not see any. I want to make the doors locked automatically while car is moving.

I know there were some door lock options in there when I turned off the seatbelt dinger, but I can't remember if that was one of them. Sorry!

The local customizing shop here in Charlottesville doesn't do cruise control installations any more because they were having issues screwing up cars' computers. Is that a frequent issue with the Mirage? Any suggestions on preventing such issues?

The system I installed is the factory cruise control. There is no way to screw up when you are adding a dealer option. I'd go with that and skip any aftermarket solutions.

Did you have to remove the steering wheel airbag to be able to install the cruise control switch?

No, that isn't needed. The switch cover pops off.

I have existing OEM fog lights on my 2019 Mirage SE. Is there any way to remove the black fog light cover to switch out fog light assemblies? I broke the left lens and purchased 2 new assemblies (Cheap). I see others removing the entire bumper cover. Is this necessary?

You don't need to remove the bumper. Just take the wheel well cover loose and you can reach up in there to replace it.

i'm looking into buying a 2018 mirage se with the 5 speed and like yours it will need the cruise control added i was wanting to know where to find the software so i could do it myself

The car is pre wired and also has the switch already built into the light stalk.

How about the delayed throttle response? Can you change it to be more aggressive using ETACS?

I have not experienced that in my car, so I am not sure if there can be an adjustment to that.

I installed the cruise switch and enabled in etacs, it will turn the light on the dash now but doesn’t set. Is there a fuse for it? Do I need to install anything at the pedals?

Are you positive that it's the right cruise switch? I've heard from another that the one from an outlander will fit, but will not work. Verify part numbers.

I checked part numbers. It’s an automatic, so I don’t need a clutch switch right? But is there something I might need to check? I haven’t been able to find a fuse for it.. is there one?

I have not experienced any kind of delay when using my mirage. I have heard a few people say what you are saying, sorry I don't have an answer.

I live in Michigan and recently purchased a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Sapphire Blue Metallic that did not come with cruise control for about $10,000 and I was told by a dealership that they are not allowed to do mods like install cruise control or add heated seats.

Maybe it was the dealer did not want the hassle of it, Whitebear did the heated seat as an option. Maybe being in Minnesota (slightly colder) it is more common

@@FarpointFarms An interesting fact about my Mirage G4 according to the CARFAX report is the car was originally purchased in Ohio before coming to Michigan. The original owner, obviously from Ohio, had it for about three years, the 2nd owner who was from Detroit returned the car after only owning it for 13 days. I am the 3rd person to own it since October 4, I mainly been using it for DoorDash.

i got ahold of the adaptor and software, but im having a hell of a time figuring out how to register/ create an account. plus, i dont do bitcoin. if they refuse to work with me, or just want to be dicks, im going to have to take their software apart and crack it or find an alternative method of re configuring my car.
