+DiabolicalGenius I think they are actually pretty serious. Debbie hosts just about everything the Addam's Family respects (other than her taste in certain things, i.e. pastels.). Besides, the electric chairs are a fun pastime for them to be in, anyway. Why would they care that they are strapped into them? They strap each other in them all the time!
@DiabolicalGenius
8 жыл бұрын
+Grand Priest Perhaps, and the electric chair thing might be the reason for their being so blase about being strapped in them. But do keep in mind that she tried to put a wedge between them and Fester and kill him to seize the family fortune after knocking him off and while they may respect those kind of things, that doesn't keep them from retaliating in kind when it's aimed at themselves. Plus if you can't see the straight faced sarcasm in their responses to her rant, then you need to look closer.

Para mim, essa é a cena mais engraçada da história do cinema! Ela virar uma serial killer por não ter ganho a boneca certa aos 10 anos é hilário!
As much as people say that Debbie was very much an Addams for her evilness, I feel that her decision to drive a wedge between the family and only marry Fester for the money disqualifies her from COMPLETE Addamshood. If there's anything that the Addams Family values most it's family. If any other woman were to marry Fester, she would have to embrace Gomez, Morticia, Grandmama, Pugsley, Wednesday, Lurch, Thing, Cousin Itt, and Baby Pubert, as well as the rest of the Addams' relatives, living AND departed, as her family too. So despite having the Addams like traits, because she chose to come between Fester and the rest of the family, my conclusion is: Debbie Jellinsky is NO Addams! If you disagree, that's okay. This is just how I feel.

The funny part about all this is that Gomez, Fester, and Grandmama are watching her die with fascination, Wednesday and Morticia are indifferent about it, and Pugsley is wearing a satisfied smirk.
"Take me and my money. For what I've done, I deserve to die." ..... "...Sorry." Lol! I ❤️ that! Also Joan Cusack is amazing!

They picked the perfect actress for Young Debbie. Just the right amount of creepy, absurd, and hilariousness. She was super creepy looking even before that slide that showed her all angry about getting Malibu Barbie. I think the Addams have a soft spot for Debbie and will remember her fondly. I love that line where Morticia says something about not knowing what kind of strange, sexual spell she put on Fester, and how she respects that.

Every time Debbie says don’t I deserve love..... and jewelry? I feel that in my soul, every time.

Debbie: Don't I deserve love?! Me: You deserve a therapist XD

"An ax! That takes me back!" It's lines like this is why there should be a lot more lore info on the Addams (like family trees to their earliest ancestry, history, etc.) I know there's some, but it'd be fun to see how deep it could go (like possibly Scrooge McDuck levels).

even though they were about to meet their end, I'm sure Addam's would have accepted her into the family...if it werent for the pastels
"And their greed led them to their death." Guessing she wasn't bright when she turned to dust after that electrocution failure. GAME OVER!!

+Isabella Delgado Yes that's amazing. I wonder if she took a picture of the family strapped to the electric chairs. I also wonder if she did succeed in killing the Addams Family, if she would take pictures of them as they're being electrocuted. If she did succeed, then I'm sure she would have shown the slides to her new husband (which would be her fourth husband) and his family saying "husband number 3, Fester Addams and his family who accepted me but never loved me and felt I never deserved love and jewelry" after that she says "they deserve this" and shows her new husband and his family the Addams Family getting electrocuted and dying. Then kills her fourth husband and then her life goes on showing the deaths of every husband she gets.

+Isabella Delgado I didn't mean to write a lot, it just happened. However, Debbie did give the reasons on why she murdered each husband then with Fester and his family she would have told her new husband before killing him that the Addams Family never loved her or felt she deserved jewelry and killed them because of that.

"An axe, that takes me back." The two Addams Family movies were pure genius. I don't think Hollywood could get it right anymore. They have the perfect mix of warped and funny here. Anymore it would be too hackney, too dark, or too cruel. Here they struck a perfect balance.
All hail the flying baby!
Who doesn't know this whole scene by heart?
the incorporated the Swan Lake theme into her rant about being a ballerina. Genius lol
