Hey Jara this looks like a made from scratch - hamburger helper. will give it a try I've really been thinking about meals in a jar/ bag in prep for my husband's retirement. Been working on the Veloute copycat recipe. I added powdered heavy cream. I used 1/2 Tbl of heavy cream in small batch recipe and cut back powdered milk by 1/2 Tbl. It's wonderful.

I bought several cans of the keystone beef and after a year on the shelf the lids on four of them started to bulge. That's when I started buying freeze dried meats. I still have them and planned to contact the manufacturer but I couldn't find the receipt. I really enjoy your videos. 🐚

You could add a jar of freeze dried hamburg into this bag in place of the canned! I don't think you'd even need extra liquid.

Love these meals! This reminds me of "depression" ....a delicious pasta abs ground meat recipe with low cost! I print the recipes, label them on the bags like you do then have them whenever.. and store them!! Thx Jara! Can't wait to start the Meals in jars. Using the FD thrive life products ...!

Hi there! 👋 I have some really deep shelves that were actually here when we bought the house. I think they must have used them all for canning jars. But Rob removed every other shelf on one set and they're a perfect height for these bags. And then I just line them right up 😊 I've seen some people put them in the heavy duty stacking totes, and I may have to do that soon since my shelves are pretty much full. But we rotate through these fairly quickly also, for quick meals and things like that 😊

I have a quick question instead of using the can of crema. Can you use some heavy cream powder? And if so, what would be the amount?

Yes I think you could! I would start with a half a cup and see if you wanted it creamier then add more.
