Add grip to your Goalkeeper Glove using Vaseline
Using a couple of pairs of old goalkeeper gloves I thought I’d do a comparison between a pair of gloves that have been treated with Vaseline and a pair that have not.
As I don’t know whether Vaseline will damage the latex, I wouldn’t use or recommend the use of Vaseline on new gloves.
There are other products on the market such as Glove Glu, which may be better suited for the job. I have never used Glove Glu so can’t comment of it’s use.

It's good to hear that you had some success using vaseline. The only other thing I can think of is a product called "Glove Glu" which is made specifically for goalkeeper gloves. I have never used it but it does get good reviews. As a specialised product it cost more that vaseline.

I'll forgo the obvious jokes involving gloves, vaseline and footballers. However, if you're worried about the vaseline affecting the latex you could try silicone grease, or even silicone spray. Or, as you say, just keep the things clean and put nothing on them.
the grip of the glove has nothing to do with it, what matters is to do the technique correctly, with that, the ball will not come loose with any glove

Yeah but sometimes is not like that, i used training reusch gloves for a while in a turf field and it's almost impossible to catch a ball, the gloves doesn't have any grip and the ball slides because of the rubber of the field, it doesn't matter if you have a perfect technique or not

lot of stuff going around about vaseline being the "grip solution"....IT IS NOT...pros so use it in wet conditions....which pro pitches are often watered to a slightly damp condition a lot of the time......the vaseline has not only the moisturizing properties similar to putting water on your gloves, but it also can at as a water blocker....keeping gloves from getting too soaked in damp conditions ....hate to sench of good gloves go by the wayside because todays culture doesn't do enough research on their own :/
guys just use goal keeper glue its beter i lost from this guy a match >:()

Are you saying that you coated your gloves with Vaseline and then played a competitive league match without first testing the Vaseline theory at training or a non competitive game first ?
Can you use any form of vasline

Over here is Australia, Vaseline is a registered trade mark and it's pretty much the only petroleum jelly we have. That's what I use and I don't know what else is available in other countries so I can't confidently answer your question.
