Add Fishing Rod Storage to Your Milk Crate Fishing Rod Holder

Спорт

Turn your milk crate fishing rod holder for your kayak into a fishing rod storage box for your garage with a simple kayak fishing hack using some scrap lumber! This is a very simple DIY build that allows you to use your kayak fishing crate as a fishing rod storage box when it is off of your kayak or bike. No need for a separate rack. Use that bike fishing rod holder for storage!

Great idea! Also an angle grinder is useful to shear off those bolts

For those woodworking challenged people like me, turn the milk crate side ways. No plywood or drilling required, if the crate is tipsy, place some weight on the bottom. Mine is wedged between the water heater and a wall. The original tip was great, my milk crate was just laying around taking up space.

Do you have a hack on how to protect rods and the eyelets than those rod covers/socks? I thought of pool noodles, but those are so bulky.

No, those are the only things I have thought of as well. I need to give that some more thought.
