13:18 gave you a thumbs up Just installed the t10v3.1 headunit in my 2012 4runner but my Mother's 2019 4runner still has the entune unit and this would be an awesome upgrade to suprise her with so she can have waze right on the screen instead of her phone while driving. Best of luck to everyone!

Finally got this and installed it 2 weeks ago. I've been playing around with it and for the price, absolutely one of the BEST upgrades on my car (I've spent thousands in upgrades). For those asking about EQ, sound volume, quality, voice volume in phone calls - it's all in the settings. There's a 10+ band EQ that's more than enough so you need to play with it for your listening needs. Carplay volume and phone call volume is also in settings - you need to play around with it. However, button controls to the right of screen do not work with carplay (steering wheel is fine) which is not a big deal. The only issue I have is that I can't successful charge my phone at the same time carplay is connected. I have to mess with the aux charging port and not use bluetooth and sometimes it works. I'll need to play with it more to find a definitive solution.

Thanks for the transparent and honest review. Appreciate it. So, the next and previous buttons on steering wheel is up and down. Yes it’s annoying but as you said, I also can live with it, I tried to fix that with the factory, but it’s kind of impossible. It’s because most Toyotas are up down rather then left right :( as far as charging the phone, it’s a limitation from Toyota’s usb and or power , our phones now a days, especially bigger phones, need a lot of juice to charge the 🔋, check my video on the wireless tray in the middle console for a solution to charge.

Got it all connected and working. My only concern is the display. It seems kinda blurry compared to yours. Anything to fix that? I went through all the display settings and but it just seems kinda off.. any thing to navigate that?

@@philsednev they are all the same , it’s the display of the oem headunit, mine too is same , but on camera doesn’t show as much . Live , it’s same, as if it’s blurry , but that’s the output limitation of the oem cam

@@philsednev the same and less quality and or capability , Beatsonic and others are selling it for 650$ 🤔, and it does less than this. With same exact output. Limitation our oem screens and input to it, so no matter what you (we) do, can’t bypass that limitation. In my opinion it’s a steal for 200$. I could have easily priced it at 400$ . But I care for the community and I don’t want to get rich fast :)

I've had this unit for over a month now and I have only two minor complaints - Phone call quality/volume in not to great (Android Auto problem probably) and when I mirror KZread it is a very small picture (Toyota Screen Probably) - Otherwise - I Love this little unit - Great to have Google Maps (always updated unlike my onboard Toyota) And Spotify - ALL WORK REALLY GREAT! Thanks , yes you’re able to mirror but it’s obviously like every mirror , would be a delay, so preferably not to. But it’s doable, no you can’t do rear camera while driving, you don’t want to do that, because the camera burns if you keep it in for a long time, but if you install a front cam, then you can do that. The oem camera sucks … unless you install a switch and anytime backup camera style harness …

@jeremiahguadan2624 bro thousand were sold, not a single complaint . And yes it’s holding up. Check the 4Runner and headunit group , members who have it as well, they swear by it. Half the pride of beatsonic, can’t to wrong .

Just bought and installed this today. It’s really nice and adds a ton of features to my 4runner. I have a few questions: 1) Is there a way to disable the “carabc” logo from displaying when my car turns on? It makes it very obvious there is an aftermarket addition to the car. 2) Can I use the seek buttons to skip/repeat a song, like the OEM bluetooth controls? What about left/right to add/subtract 10 seconds in my song (also like the OEM)? 3) Can I customize the wallpaper for carplay to have my own photos?

-No , I don’t think it can be disabled , since it’s the startup logo and programmed in the chipset -you may by pressing up and down for a longer press on steering wheel, next and previous song. Haven’t tried skipping 10 sec. I don’t have it installed anymore , since I’m testing the new T10V2.1 (my last video) 3-that’s a carplay limitation and not the Entune, I’ve never seen or experienced , anyone that was able to change any CarPlay wallpaper , other than what’s available on CarPlay. Red green black blue etc, remember, CarPlay, ios, is a trademark to apple and they do things to be consistant across the nation.

So i’ve recently installed this, and i can say absolutely worth it. Every single penny, absolutely what i’ve been waiting on. I do have a question that i can’t figure out for the life of me, hopefully you see this @kingsev i’ve lost at least 15-30 notches of loudness since installing the module, is there something i’m missing or i’ve done wrong? the difference between oem bluetooth audio and carplay (iphone 13 pro max running apple music) is ginormous. OEM bluetooth is way and i mean wayyy louder than carplay audio when it comes to music. Any advice recommendations or anything i’m missing would be greatly appreciated.

This might help, but I installed tonight and felt like the audio was flat. Realized I never set the eq for aux in the headunit, so I unplugged the CarPlay, set up the eq and now it’s a million times better.

I want to know - instead of using the included USB dongle to get wired CarPlay, can you instead splice that USB wiring coming out of your USB wiring harness into the OEM USB socket and disconnect the OEM USB wiring so you can use the socket that's already properly mounted? Would that give you wired CarPlay from the module and charging as well?

Haven’t tried that , I cannot answer that, I also do not want to touch or splice oem wiring , never did , never will, even in the 90’s when I used to install Aiwa, alpine, Sony, pioneer, JVC etc … i like to have everything oem. But you can always route that usb to the glove box or anywhere and get a 3.0 usb plug and hook it up like oem

As mentioned / announced in the 4Runner group, (link to join below 👇🏻 in description) you absolutely need to adjust your aux DSP /EQ , before installing the Entune 2.0. Also make sure you do not have any settings in your phone in EQ. Make sure it’s off.

I can’t tell from the video, is the screen grainy? I know my factory one on my 14’ 4Runner is not great, wondering if it looks any better?

It is what your oem headunit Is. Whatever your headunit potential is. It obviously doesn’t come close to the T10 headunit and it’s better than no CarPlay or android auto . If you want a perfect image / video quality , then the T10 headunit is the way to go, check my videos on that.

I don’t know anything about aftermarket front cameras. What specifications should I look for that is compatible with wireless CarPlay unit?

How’s the audio quality with phone calls while connected to CarPlay? I’ve had the beat sonic for about 2 years and it’s so bad I have to disconnect it every time I make a call.

Well, 1 Beatsonic is 600+ I guess 🤢, but most of the aftermarket units have the same CarPlay calls issue, the trick is mentioned in my group posts , when on calls, route to the oem BT and Mic . You’re golden

Restart unit and pair correctly , it will pop up until handshake is initiated .

Just got mine in the mail today and installed in less than 30 minutes. It’s fantastic. One thing though: I can’t figure out how to exit Carplay to get into the main screen of carabc. Carplay starts up right away when I start the car. How do I enter that menu?

Press home button , there is an app, called home in CarPlay menu. If you want to go out to the main radio menu? Press the volume knob on headunit .

Good question, I haven’t tried that, since I no longer use XM, it’s kind of boring and old … I was a hard core XM for the longest time , even though it used to cost me 60$ per year . I had enough of the same songs over and over , Spotify , YT music, is the way to go for me. At least I can download any song, make a playlist, high quality and listen anywhere even without a signal. But I’ll try that and report next week.

Can I still listen to my car's OEM Bluetooth? When I go back to regular Bluetooth (not using the android unit) it shows the media I am playing - but I hear no audio.

Yes you can, that’s because your audio is still emitting to the unit, make sure you route your audio, FROM YOUR PHONE, to the truck’s OEM Bluetooth.

Two questions 1) Will the music still play from the phone while using maps and? 2) will the controls on the steering wheel still work?

@@pgoncalves007 nothing works with CarPlay. Even in my oem mustang or raptor . Once you have CarPlay, it takes over the radio signal. Some cars allow it but not this one. So either use an app radio or I-heart radio or similar

I ordered one of these. Got here in Georgia in 11 days. Installed it without any issues, however, even after making sure my iPhone is connected to the device and not to my 4Runner, it will not display anything else except the Welcome to CarPlay screen. Verified that CarPlay is selected in my iPhone settings as well. Any ideas?

No, this version is not . This is only Toyota .

I had to remove this from my 4runner due to selling the 4Runner everything is plugged back in to factory as it originally came but the reverse camera doesn’t come on anymore. Am I just missing something? Any help would be awesome!

Hey, what’s the order ID ? Reverting back to oem, shouldn’t block your oem backup camera. Factory default the headunit

You need to reinstall the unit back and change the rear camera in settings to oem and then you can uninstall for good.

There is major issue with this device! It only works sometimes! It will not connect via the Aux button or holding down the audio talk button. I don’t understand why but I keep having this problem?

The list is accurate to my testing and experience, all these (in the list) have been tested and 💯 work, I do not say something or refer to, if I myself haven’t tested. I have a name to maintain and I’m always or try to be, 101% accurate, so if you know or tried and made it work on other models, which had Entune and works flawless enlighten me so I can update my list for others to benefit from, your, our, experience . I recently got this and installed it in my 2019 4runner. I am having issues with connection and android auto completely disconnecting at certain times. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hey, 1-what’s the order ID ? 2-could be multiple issues on the Android auto side and phone 3-join the headunit Facebook group, in the description of this video , make sure you answer all questions to be approved (if you’re not already in there) 4-make a post following the psa guidelines (if you’re in the group) so admins and mods, including myself can assist. That’s exactly why I request the order ID, I mention it in most it not every video, sometimes order fails and or your bank blocks it and you’ll be waiting for something you think you ordered but it didn’t go through (A must)

I just installed it. Phone connects to Apple CarPlay and pairing option comes up on my phone with numbers, but when I press aux it doesn’t show the Apple CarPlay screen. Nothin new. Just a blank aux screen

That’s what it means, remember , the first 20 are done, another 30 were done … and back order 127 back orders, I dominate the whole stock worldwide and this is the latest OS . Remove the unit, install the oem, plug an old EarPod in the aux 3.5mm jack , goto EQ, fix the EQ to your taste, install back the Entune 2.0.

There is also an EQ setting in the cartrim itself where you can adjust the audio so you don’t need to pull the headunit out affer it’s installed. It’s a very detailed fine tuner EQ chart. It sounds amazing!!

Jo it doesn’t , we tried it . Even though it’s a touch screen. Unfortunately it doesn’t :( only choice is either the T10V2.1 or T10V3.1 or the new T12 :( check my videos for those.

You probably didn’t connect the oem USB to activate . Obviously , our phones use a lot of juice, especially now after iOS 17. It’s a known fact that Apple does that for you to buy a new phone . Or even android . I’ve been struggling myself lately in my oem ford mustang 2021 after iOS 17. My T10 works flawlessly !

@@KingSev thanks for your comment. Yeah iOS 17 does drain a bit more battery however I’ve connect everything properly and then I plug the usb into the dongle and then other side to my phone. No luck. Should I unpair everything and try ? Or

Every single unit from me had the latest and best; more stable software. You need to update your phone and not the Entune 2.0 OS. The ones on the market from CARABC are not latest and most stable. That’s why I posted in the group for people who contacted me saying it’s out of stock , because we received another 500 units and we need to update them before anyone gets their hands on it. Those units will be the same as previous units.

@@LaricolaHD hey, so for best results , you should have had connected an old earphones or something similar to the aux, went into the EQ . Set it up to your liking and then installed the unit, because once you install this CarPlay, it uses the aux settings . Also make sure the volume is all the way up from your phone . Whole connected to wireless CarPlay.
