    Awww Luther 😍😍😍 He's like "mum you're at my level....what you doing?" I was waiting for him to jump off the sofa and onto the dish with the sequins! I think he thinks they're his treats Lol The needle threader is so cute...I need one of those 😍 thanks for showing different techniques. The add ins look amazing against the coral fibre

    They are endless, definitely. This is just two ways to try it, but there must be more ways than beads in my little bowl.

    I hope you try it sooner than I did! I had been spinning for more than 10, maybe 12? years before I tried it.

    Regarding not spinning because we like a quick process, the last time I was vending at a craft show something really funny happened. There was a lady across the aisle from us selling all her hand knitted shawls, she couldn’t knit anymore and she just wanted some extra Christmas money. She looked across the aisle at me sitting at my spinning wheel and said, “That looks so tedious.“ A *knitter* said that. Someone who pulls loop after loop after loop through loop after loop after loop. It still makes me laugh when I think of it.

    What have you got to lose? TRY IT. The worst thing that happens is that you find out you need to practice a little to get it exactly the way you want it, and none of us started spinning thinking we wouldn't have to practice at all to get the yarn we want, right? Also, come back and let me know how it goes for you.

    Awesome thank you for the video! Now for the difficult decision of if I want to add them while plying or spinning the single I assume if you spin the single you can still ply it correct? Sorry if you already answered that. 😊

  • @FiberLoveDiary

    @FiberLoveDiary

    5 жыл бұрын

    You can always spin a brand new yarn with the other technique later. You can definitely still ply if you put the beads right onto the single. I'm not sure leaving it as a single, the way I did, is the best either. It just seemed right to me at the time.

  • @caranemma

    @@FiberLoveDiary ok that makes sense. I have only been spinning for a few months so my singles tend to be a little over spun but if I ply them it's a lot better. So I'll try that. Thanks!

    Thank you for doing this video! I was wondering how to do this technique. I love you for baby's name. Why did you name him Luther?😃

  • @FiberLoveDiary

    @FiberLoveDiary

    5 жыл бұрын

    When we got him, he was extremely anxious and timid. Even when we picked him up, he tried to crawl away and hide. It was sad. We wanted to give him a tough name he could grow into, and it just seemed to fit perfectly. I often call him Louie or Lulu. He never did stop being timid or anxious though.

    I would tread sewing tread with the beads and then spin it with the fiber that is what I’m going to do

  • @FiberLoveDiary

    @FiberLoveDiary

    This is a great idea that I hadn't thought of. People are probably way more likely to have sewing thread around for that. Do you mean a core spin? I've never tried that, but I bet it would be really interesting.

    "You didn't become a spinner because you didn't want to spend time doing things" THIS is what my coworkers don't get when i whip out my spindle on breaks. "Can't you just go to Michaels and get yarn already made?" Welllll... i could, but it wouldn't be hand made by me in the exaxt colors and fibers i want 🙄
